There are a good amount of people on that list that arent doing anywhere near that lol.
If were talking about both sides of the basketball, he's better than almost everyone besides giannis and embiid, jokic, and AD. His impact defensively already is on par with rudy maybe even better. He spaces the floor, can create his own shot, lob threat. He can do damn near everything offensively already and he doesn't even know what his go to move is yet.
One take I solidly disagree with is listing Zion as a name that’s definitely better than Wemby. I get that he’s insane on court, but he never is. Availability/durability is an underrated facet of discussing who is better between players. But beyond the durability, I’d argue that Wemby is a better defender, playmaker, and shooter (though this last one may be debatable).

...probably like number 10 or 11 overall. Top 5 in defense clearly. But I had a hard time picking 9 dudes over him. It can be done, but it gets nitpicky, especially when you consider Victor isn't even in his 2nd evolution yet.
Guards that start off like Scoot Henderson have typically end up busts. His ceiling is Kyle Lowry. That's not a top 3 pick you can be proud of. You can get a good game manager outside of the lottery. Wembanyama is still young. One night you'll get a top 10 type performance,, the next you might get a top 200. His consistency will come, but it's one reason it's hard to honestly put rookies in the top 30 even. And I think it puts too much pressure on them. He's looking like a surefire HoF'er and he's a bit further along than was reasonably expected. I think that's enough. I don't want another Ben Simmons implosion. One day people make him think he's the next coming, the following he's afraid to even attempt a layup.

Bullshit list, only three players on that list are better defenders. Wemby is top 5 in defense and the best anchor in the NBA right now. He also is a great cutter and perimeter shooter. He is easily top 20 no fucking question.
To be anywhere near GOAT conversation Wemby would have to be better than Jokic, Olajuwon or even Shaq. He is not yet even close to Shaq yet:). So far he is capitalizing on one thing he got for free which is his extremely unique physique. We don't know how big his actual basketball talent is yet. Can he develop basketball IQ and court vision like Jokic? Can he develop offensive game like Hakeem? Can he learn how to dominate with his sheer phicical advantage like Shaq? so what, does Brandon Miller have a top 11 all-time potential 😂😂
@@fpl_djhammer talking about wemby
@@kappakuppa7255 oh idk if I've ever seen anybody say Scoot > Wemby 😂😂😂
thought Scoot vs Brandon Miller was the topic since it's in the video as well lmao
Without consistent injuries idk give it a year and he’s top 10
I feel like we even underrate his D because his team sucks so bad. I mean I really do not think defensively I would rather have any other player over him. He is EASILY top 5 already on D, which makes his 20-10 on minimal minutes a pretty huge deal. If he was playing 36 mins, he would be looking at about 26-13-4 with 2 steals and 4 blocks a game. There are a good amount of people on that list that arent doing anywhere near that lol.
Vic could deadass be an All-NBA player as well as All-Defensive. As a rookie.
constructive criticism this thumbnail looks really low quality, don’t know if it’s colors font or shading but that was my first impression
the low quality image doesn’t help
Victor is head and shoulders above Lebronze.
Funny yiu forgot AK47 who had the most 5 by 5 ever with 3, considering he is one of your favourite players
You didnt mention Embid on your list mannnn. The mvp before he got hurt lol
Zion is averaging 6asts/2.9to per 36. Wemby is at 4.3asts/4.4to. Zion been quietly good this year.
That Marvin Gaye shirt is so dope
Petition for u to call him, “Wemby” 🤣😭 idk why but I swear I never hear bro referred to as, “Victor” to the point that I’m like who are we talking about here oh yeah that’s right Wemby hahaha
The player said multiple times that he prefers to be called Victor, it was the same in our country 🇫🇷
Well his name is Victor and there's no other player apart from Oladipo who shares that first name, so it does make sense to call him that 😂
Change the title. I cane for Wemby commentary and 10mins in I'm still waiting.
Jordan skills with Kareem height equals Wembayama..
You put Lebronze who is amongst the worst defenders in the league above Wemby????? LOLOLOLLLLLL 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Wemby is unmatched in being able to capture the public's imagination.
...probably like number 10 or 11 overall. Top 5 in defense clearly. But I had a hard time picking 9 dudes over him. It can be done, but it gets nitpicky, especially when you consider Victor isn't even in his 2nd evolution yet.
Kyrie has been amazing for the Mavericks, just injuries have limited the games he has played
Wemby is ridiculous in fantasy bro
He could’ve been an all star especially if guys like Julius randle could make it
Randle averages 25 10 5
@@footballfanboy9680Explain how he isn't "close". He's putting up all star offensive numbers while being a top 5 defender
Bro say Bam, brown, Paolo, or dame, randle has been having a better season than all of them
@@drewp839he really isn’t having a better season than all of them, this is supreme dick eating
@@Amari_14 wemby right now is better than julius randle ever has been or will be in his career. averaging not significantly lower numbers while playing way less minutes and being at worst a top 5 defender in the nba
How do you leave out Sabonis. He just schooled him
Sabonis is 28 soon, Victor 20...We'll see in 2 years max who's gonna smash the other one...
Victor will be the best player in the league in two years time. If they manage to get a decent roster around him, as he gets stronger and more experienced he will be unstoppable. Not since Jordan, Kobe and prime Lebron has the best player in the league been the best offensive and defensive player
Vic is top 3 all time come on man.
I'm 8 mins into the video... It looks like the title is a clickbait.😅 Well done sir! On such informative video about Victor
Do we think Wemby could win like 4+ DPOY ??
Yes lol
I hope Brandon Miller doesn’t have the “game winner” problem Paul George has
top 5. best players in the league other than luka are centers, and he's a top 3 center.
get luka and Wemby together !
Spurs have a former detroit pistons gm as their gm. I'm worried for Wembys future.
Didn't AK47 have multiple 5x5's?
He's for sure a top 20 player.
Zion over Wemby is wild bro
would have to look but i think he is 16-25 than 10-15
per tied 16th with kristaps at 22.6 however, zion is 11th at 22.8.
bpm 26th at 3.8 though 22nd is 4.0
vorp tied for 28th at 2.2 tied with devin booker
however, his ws/48 is 0.67 tied for 152nd. yikes
so.. maybe 20-30 range than 10-19 range. that ws/48 unsure if affected based on how bad the rest of the spurs is.
Skip to 10:10 for the Wemby commentary, which is what you clicked for.
No they need to tank this year get another high lottery pick make some decent signing and go from there the natural way
Zaccharie Risacher c'est le prochain 🎉
I’d have to look back at that section but I didn’t hear you say Jokic (though Jokic is obviously better nowadays).
Tbh that's a ridiculous take. Joker, Murray, Ja, Sabo, Fox, Kawahi, PG, Booker, KD, Steph, AD, Lebron, Ant, KAT, Shai, probably Jay Williams, BI, Zion, Luka, Kyrie, maybe Lauri, Giannis, Dame, JT, JB, maybe Porzi, Embiid, Maxi, Spida, Brunson, Banchero, Jimbo, Bam, Derozan, probably Siakam, Tyrese, probably Lamelo, Barnes, maybe Cade.
He may be Top 35, at best Top 30. but 20? 15??? Cmon. You can't have that few points with not high efficence if you are Top 20 player, especially on the bad team, even if you a great defender.
Some of the names not mentioned over him are kinda ridiculous
Bullshit list, only three players on that list are better defenders. Wemby is top 5 in defense and the best anchor in the NBA right now. He also is a great cutter and perimeter shooter. He is easily top 20 no fucking question.
He is better than Derozen, Bam, Jay Will, Lamelo, Cade, Scottie, BI, Zion, Lauri, Kyrie, Tyrese, Siakam, Murray and who tf is maxi?
No sabonis? League leader in trip dubs?
He should win dpoy
Charlotte got new ownership now, thats why we makin the right moves💪I trust it
Im only commenting for algorithmic purposes!!!!!!!!!
Zion over Wemby is crazy
We need to fire weaver and hire Rusty cuz weavy doesn’t believe in fit or maybe he doesn’t understand what NBA spacing is
Marvin Gaye on the t-shirt?!? Let’s go Rusty!
Untill now it was the easy part for him. Actually tall tasks are ahead. He might aswell be close to his celling already.
He is also very skilled
lol dude, no need to f up spurs with f trae, just give the guy normal semi def playmaker like Murray and is game over
Wemby = DPOY
Carrément pas, son équipe est dernière dans la conférence ouest donc non! Et pourtant je suis Français! Gobert Dpoy
do you hate sabonis? hes easily been the best player on the kings. domas is CLEARLY better than wemby right now.
fr somehow Sabonis has become criminally under rated, he is tied for sixth on the mvp ladder, leads the league in triple doubles and double doubles and nearly averages a triple double. The list goes on and he's slowly becoming the most under rated player in the league.
@@Josephburroughs3 him becoming so underrated has sorta made fox overrated, don’t get me wrong, fox is my favorite player of all time but domas has been so dominant while fox has been in a rough slump for a month or too, sabonis is easily the third or fourth best center in the league behind jokic and embiid, and maybe ad
Not sure about this… Swap out Wembanyama and put Domas on the Spurs right now, would that team actually be better?
@@greatgreentea totally agree Sabonis's consistency has really helped through the stretch where at times fox can be a little inconsistent. I was also confused when rusty made a video about a non-allstar draft and sabonis was nowhere to be seen.
@greatgreentea Sabonis is 28....
Honesty his 2k rating of 84 isn’t a bad rating lol 😅
10:12- hold on, Julius Earving had 2 5x5’s, Andrei Kirilenko had 3, and Hakeem had 6
One of Dr J’s occurred in the ABA so it doesn’t count
@@radiologicphysicist1083 my numbers are from after the merger 🤷🏼♂️
He’s top 15 but not 2 through 15.
Top 10
Victor is not a top 15 player right now lol. Not even close. He’s good but he’s still not even clear of Chet in RoTY race. What are we doing
Not even close? Name the players better than him on both sides of the floor. The spurs are top 5 in the league on defense with Wemby on the court and at the bottom with him off.
Let Wemby play 36, Pop, let him rip
Hes not top 15 but definitely top 25 already. I bet he gets it next yr though
You missed Jamaal Murray and bi
Makes you wonder how the spurs are worst this year than last.
