    I got one of these. Helped me quite a bit. I'm new to car audio. I've learned a lot in the last 6 months. I now have 2 Skar evl 12s with a skv2 1500.1 ( it's enough, don't want to upgrade alternator yet), jvc touch screen head unit with a dual AGM battery setup with a stinger isolator. It's in an 09 maxima. Did the big 3 as well. Every wire is 1 AWG ofc. I'm proud of my install since I did it all by myself. Had no idea what I was doing. Through trial n error and many upgrades I ended up with what I wrote above. Also I was struggling to tune untill I saw your video. Thanks man.

      just got my o-scope, can't wait to tune my salt 3k. Hopefully I have enough power for that amplifier. I have a 240 amp alternator, and (1)xs3400 battery. Pushing (2) skar vxf 12's @ 1 ohm. Currently have them on a jp23, but they seem underpowered.

    I have this exact oscilloscope and guess what... it runs on 9v. Which means yes - you can hook up a grocery store disposable 9v battery to it and have a truly handheld accurate oscilloscope! Cannot confirm if this affects the accuraccy or anything, but mine's been running great for ages with a 9v disposable battery connector soldered to the + and - of the power cable input. Just double-sided tape'd a 9v battery holder to the back and voila. No idea why they didn't design it like this to begin with, seems like a no-brainer to me.

    • @dale4485
      @dale4485 3 года назад

      Been doing the same thing. Bought a 9v adapter and a rubber band holds the 9v to the back of the device. Still on the same battery even a year later.

    • @knightwolf200612
      @knightwolf200612 2 года назад

      I have the same little cheap O-scope. I had to build it myself, it was a kit. And it came with a 9V battery connector-wire with it, to use it exactly as you describe. So yes you did great, it's meant to be used by 9V battery. Power supply must be very precise between 8-10V so a 9V battery is perfect. I just don't understand why it has to be external instead of the manufacturer designed the 9V battery internal in the housing :) would be even easier to use and maintain.

      Only if you are boosting certain frequencies.... for example if you are bass boosting say 60hz, but dial in using 40hz 0db tone, the. You will be over clipping when you hit 60hz. So need to be aware, yes.

    Clipping kills coils because the speaker stops at top and bottom of movement so that sign wave being smooth up and down think of it as a speaker I’m and out when it’s flat on top on a hard clip is why people smoke subs when they had them for 30 minutes and they are “Junk” subs no the subs were fine you don’t know what your doing! Anytime you hear someone say that or if they smoke a lot of subs because their amp is to “powerful” don’t listen to them they don’t know what they are doing.

Can I have the HU at say 50% and the eq a bit higher? I have a slight hiss at higher volumes, and I figure if I even out the volumes a bit I can possibly remove that hiss.
