Hey man its the time YOU had the world record. honestly if were to have a terribly played run but have it be WR I would 100% make it my favorite run. the people watching dont feel the “Wow this really just happened i’m the world’s best” feeling!

To me, Brentilda's record will always be THE world record to me. It was still sooo ahead of it's time. And what the heck it's a 3 minute enter!?!?

yeah. also i dont think that 13:48, 12:09 and 8:37 were as good as sizzlers 19:41 was. i mean, that guy was really cracked and his crafting skills at the time were sooo good

@@wehaveculture feinberg is a better overall player but since he focuses on AA and considering how crookst was dropping sub 10s like it was nothing was unheard of at the time, id still put fein #2 tho

@@tobijanssen1518 if we talk about achievements, yeah, crookst had more, but in raw skill feinberg is best in both 1.16 rsg and aa. of course, he is not best in other categories, like rayoh and magnetic in ssg, or ontricus in 1.15, but there has never been someone like feinberg in mcsr
Before watching this, imma just say Zylenox's Current WR is my top of the tier list. Obvs it's the fastest run and sub8 is one of the craziest barriers (I think sub10 was the biggest barrier) but also the reaction from Zylenox and having Facecam just makes it a lot more watchable, fact it was on stream is cool too for the people there it was even more momentous and opening up to LAN to have people join that world was so wholesome at the end too haha. Legendary

Brent and Silver’s runs are what forced us to change it. It had been a discussion for a long time before then.

The crazy Minecraft speedrun week is so underrated. Illumina's No F3 run, to me, was unheard of, let alone getting the world record. And relative unknown TwoLetterName beating possibly the best Minecraft speedrunner not once, but TWICE in such a short amount of time with a pretty significant time difference should be no less than A tier (but obviously I'd give them S tier).
Hi, nice video! I feel like we should pay respects to other notable runs like Mynski's rejected world record as well! Just a thought. Maybe you can make a tier list of faked Minecraft world records in the future as well?

the couriway video is the reason I started watching couriway's channel, and I'll go back to that video every once in a while because I think it's quite funny, in retrospect, how TWT thought it was a fake, or a cheated, run, because of all the new techniques and mechanics that he used

I remember like over 2 years ago thinking sub 8 was the barrier with 10+ obby blacksmith, completable ruined portal + looting 3, perfect classic trades or wf enderman looting hunting, perfect blind, perfect perch, etc.
yeah, crazy how even sub 6 could be possible with stuff like that
Brentilda's and Cube's world records are the top of the list for me, partly because I really got into the community around the time Brentilda's wr was set. I also just loved rewatching Cube's run!

I agree! That is S tier while his first run is not B for me... Ocean WR was nice but it was common meta lower down on leaderboards, Having 2 World records IN A ROW makes it way more momentous (WITHIN 24 HOURS!?) And also... the music choices were superb haha

Illumina and S*zzler are both A tier for me. Illumina for being the last no f3, and S*zzler for just being iconic at the time regardless of what happened after. Brentilda deserves to be alone in icon status though.

two letter names first record should be F tier. the 12:09 is wayyyyy better
The only S tier runs should be Korb’s 14:56 and Brent’s 9:36. Nothing else is comparable.
Korb’s run is the one that truly ushered in hypermodern and forced meta adaptation, Couri’s just was the first example of someone doing it.

Illumina’s 13:53 should be S tier. No F3, Fortress first, one of the earliest runs to use Ninjabrain Treasure, awful blind, No gold armor in Bastion, basalt delta, and he still got sub 14.
Visually Appealing as hell; all of Illumina’s movements are smooth. As Couriway put it, “The most Alpha run ever” A classic enter in the middle of a hypermodern meta. Illumina is the original Sigma. S tier.

I haven't watched the full video yet and would like to see how my two predictions go. My favorite mc speed run of all time is TheeSizzler's, 11:07. That run has such great entertainment value, it has so many twists and turns and drama and intrigue and it's just so fun to watch. And the other one I'd put in S would be the most recent world record because it is in every way the best mc speed run of all time and I just can't believe how good it is. It has two and only two mistakes. Are you kidding me?

4:23 that was a 19,29 by a Japanese group they have a whole video on, lead by the man who at the time had the only sub 30 in pre 1.9 rsg, a record by over 7 minutes.
