- This video shows the installation of a DDMWorks ProBeam onto my 2007 Saturn Sky. It could also be used on a Pontiac Solstice or Opel GT.

I installed my Pro-Beam today. I really appreciate your video because the instructions really suck.... Thanks for the help!!! 👍👍👍
Your videos are really great quality. It’s like watching “This Old House” for the Saturn Sky
I like these mod videos Mike, but I'd really like to see some follow ups about before and after.
Thanks and I'm glad you like the videos. I have an autocross coming up this Sunday so I'll be really able to see how well these suspension mods work. I'll be filming my opinions then. However, I can feel a bit of a difference even taking some turns around the neighborhood (although we don't have many where I live).
Mike Martin cool, I'd be interested what characteristics have changed. Where the edge of breaking out is now that type of thing.. Looking forward to your opinions.
No you have all three components installed, would you recommend the DDMWorks package for daily driving? For daily driving - do you notice a difference compared to before installation? Ah. GM made it so the suspension was independent - does coupling make handling worse?

You aren't tieing the arms together, you're bracing the control arm mounts to prevent flex.
Wow that looks heavy and complicated. I used from a german factory the „Wiechers Strebe“. 4 screews on each side and that‘s it
Hey Mike, Was wondering if there is any need for concern about the holes being drilled. One concern would be the drilling exposing bare metal, the other could be galvanic corrosion between the new bolts and the bare metal. Any concerns?
Not particularly. I would hope that in the instructions they would mention doing something to prevent that from happening. And I've never heard anyone mention it before. But that's an interesting thought which I may post to the FB groups I belong to.
@@MikesHouseOfMods Well if you ever hear or see that it does, you might think about bolting on a piece of zinc such as you would do with a boat.
Just a thought.
BTW, I just picked up a 2007 Red line, Yellow with a stick, one owner @ 23K miles. Being shipped so I am interested in doing the same thing.
Thanks for your video's. They really help !
Any update on if you are seeing any signs of corrosion
How long did it take to get this? I've ordered all 3 and installed the venom brace and backbone but they've got this on back order now...
Hi Benjamin. It only took a few days for me to get the ProBeam because they had it in stock. I know they go in and out of stock often so I guess it depends on that. I must have gotten lucky. I'd keep checking with them to make sure you're on the top of the list once they come in.
Did you notice the difference
It’s like a go kart now isn’t it
I know it made a big difference in my solstice gxps
Doing mine I didn’t drop the muffler on either one but I have long fingers
Again great video
Jeff
Thanks Jeff. I can sort of feel the difference in normal driving, but around my house, we don't have a lot of good turns and twists. I do have an autocross coming up so that will be the real test and I'm looking forward to it. As much as I tried, I could not get my hand between the muffler and sway bar to screw on that nut. You're lucky you didn't have to deal with that.
Good job with the videos. I personally believe these brackets just add weight ans are non effective for structural support. Very few bolt ons will strengthen rigidity. Simply put, would you trust a bolted together roll bar?
Does your Sky have a reverse lockout to prevent shifting into reverse on accident?
Well, I believe it sort of does. If I shift from 5th to 4th, I can just drop it down and it will go right into 4th and bypass reverse. However, I have shifted into reverse while still slowly moving forward and it will go into that gear. BTW, our reverse does not have any synchros.
Mike Martin Thanks for your reply. I still an a bit confused though. I am looking at getting a Sky, in a manual transmission. I do have experience driving one for work around the property but I still worried about daily driving one. I am afraid that I'll try to shift to fifth or something, and accidentally go into reverse. I know some cars you have to lift up in order to access reverse, while some are just "open." Also, what do you mean by it has no synchros?
Chris. I can't think of any way that you could accidentally shift into reverse. Going from 4th to 5th is in the opposite direction of reverse. And you are locked out of reverse when you go from 5th to 4th....unless you physically put it in there on purpose. There is no lifting up or pushing down....but I don't think it's necessary. This is the first manual transmission car I've ever owned and I have yet to go into reverse without wanting to.
I have a 2007 Sky Redline. In my opinion it is almost impossible to shift in reverse accidentally.
No it does not have a "lock out". Reverse isn't synchronized. So if you're rolling it will grind, but force it, it will go into reverse.
...but did you notice a difference in driving?
YES, Snow at 3:57! LOL
Oh yeah. I had that shit in my mouth, hair, shirt. I ended up vacuuming most of it up before I could continue. Thanks for the heads up about it :)
Wow! Seems like a pain to install this.
