It’s an interesting talk Jessica has at the beginning about being transgender and the community at the beginning, but for those who are here for watcher stuff it starts at 12:27
2:56:31 establishment didnt work on the protect because protect was zero cost at the time due to the mummified hand. Apparently, establishment cost reduction only account for current cost, and if it was already zero, even if temporary, it wont do anything.
i'm regularly coming home around 7 or 8pm the last few weeks. jorbs content has become a pretty essential part of my evening without me even noticing tbh
1:00:49 my heart sunk, I think Halt is amazing! 12 block for 0, makes it so you often don't even need to leave wrath end of turn. And when you do, it's an amazing block while you play with your stances. You do need enough draw, but once you have a couple of retain cards that's not an issue anymore.
I like the Watcher but I don't like it nearly as much as the other characters. It seems like most of the dailies are involving the Watcher so I'm getting some practice but I am still pretty bad at playing her.
I just now saw that orbs did this, and I just wanted to say how much joy this brings me with how much good there still is in the world. Jessica's talking at the beginning was fantastic, and glad to hear her experiences and thoughts. Oh yeah and there is like a watcher run or something
i think the game could be made harder just by adding more variety tbh. with more different enemy, elite, and boss types in the pool it would be less predictable over time, which means you'd have to try harder to cover more bases in your strategy. would also force them to get more creative with the mechanics
Ascension 20 is pretty much how you get a difficult and niche focused gameplay. In act one you have to focus on getting to the boss _and_ be able to kill it. Card rewards and relics force you to consider and weigh the benefits of taking elite/?/fight/campfire/shop Then in act 2 you need AoE. I don't see where or how you could fit more/other encounters/elites with different requirement without making it completely RNG Fiesta. If you want more content to do after you beat the heart (continue climbing) Then sure I can see them being able to put more challenging and varied encounters in. I honestly would like to read your suggestions etc.
@@Krillol well, I'm not on the clock, but here are a few options - there aren't really any fights that focus on turn 1 mitigation at the elite or boss level - I think multi enemy fights are a bit underexplored. There are a number of these but not many of them actually have synergy between the enemies that forces you to make real decisions. Donu/deca and the priest/knight encounter might be the only ones - statuses/debuffs are mostly simple and easily countered. This is probably for the best overall but it leaves a lot of design space open - and these fights would really only be for people who want more to deal with than a20 offers. The chosen's hex is cool, as is the beat of death. A lot more could be done with mechanics like those. - resource denial follows on the above. The automaton has a unique schtick and all it really does is take 2 predictable cards. Imagine what more could be done with forcing you to adapt on the fly. - few enemies respond directly to what the player is doing on their turn. There's room for more chess-like mechanics where you really have to predict the eventual outcome of your actions - there's only really 1 fight that directly forces you to care about when to make your attacks. Nemesis is generally considered one of the least successful designs in the game encounter wise. I don't think that means the concept is bad, I think it means there's more room to explore that field. This is 10 minutes of thinking based on my general genre knowledge and design experience. Imagine what a real design team that's getting paid could do.
Master Reality has a few synergies going on with it. Deus Ex Machina, Carve Reality, Deceive Reality, Conjure Blade, Battle Hym and I am sure I am forgetting some of the cards which works super good with Master Reality.
My girlfriend and I watch these vods pretty much every night, and it really made us both smile that you did a charity stream for trans lifeline (she's trans, and we have lots of trans/non-binary friends). I missed the stream, but I'm gonna make a separate donation to them.
So slight tangent here, but your previous chats about the youtube algorithm must have made some of your viewers watch videos on the topic, because your videos now recommend them to me on most of your videos, and I haven't ever searched for it. I'm not sure if it's good or bad that it picked up on that. Maybe a bit scary. The video recommended is titled "There is No Algorithm for Truth - with Tom Scott" but I think it's best not linked.
Wait...Lesson learned PERMANENTLY upgrades a card? What the hell, I always thought it was just a worse and costlier version of armanents! Lesson learnt...apparently card texts don't always tell you the truth 🤦
If you have Clockwork Souvenir / Orange Pellet, it could be great. Or you can try zero cost built with Just Lucky, Halt ,Consecrate, Weave and Furry of Blow. It could be fun
33:30 gotta love how he first confuses Defect and Watcher, realizes what he said, and then immediatly proceeds to call it the Wanderer lol

I watch an episode every night when I go to bed, its honestly routine at this point and its great

I love this video bc jess also overexplains trans rights so it's like two overexplains in one
I love how Jessica is how there showing people that shitposters are valid. Blessed content.
as a trans person, i just want to reiterate this point: shitposters are REAL AND VALID TOO!
Phew, only 3 hours. If these Overexplains ever get over 4 hours I'll have to call my urologist.
Dunno if Jessica is going to read this, but as a fellow trans data scientist, wishing you luck on the job search!
Tytyty!
How does Jorbs just.... Keep getting cooler and cooler. Every single day...
Hey Jorbs are you gonna upload your modded character run?
That perfect 105 Heart multi attack block at the end was fire.
Can someone explain me what the meaning of "poj" is? I think by googling just for variants of poj I confused myself more than informed
Someone typoed "pog" as "poj" and then it became a meme, despite Jorbs' heroic efforts to ignore it.
Poj came from jorbs mispronouncing pog and then being hounded and eaten alive by chat
@@ThouShaltShine I was under the impression that Jorbs had censored "Pog" to come out as "poj" in his chat as a sneaky thing

Jorbs. Please bring in more ratropolis.
Dying for good play through

Master Reality is great with effects that generate Insight. Turning draw 2 into draw 3 is fat.

Holy shit Jorbs said Trans Rights! 😍😍😍

20% downvotes just proves how many bigots there are still around. Even on a channel as welcoming as jorbs.

"I am transgender"
20 dislikes
Never change, internet.
On second thought, please do.
LOVE JORBS AND JESS, GREAT VID!!!
why are there downvotes on this?
Only reason I can think of is that it's a watcher run
@@nicolettedown I hope that's the reason, but there's also the possibility people read "Trans Lifeline Stream" and downvoted for bigoted purposes
You know the answer. People are bigots.
Cuz there's Trans in the title and snowflake can't handle that
@@nicolettedown oh do you realy think it's the reason? I'm sure it's not and it's a shame
How did I miss this!? Thanks for supporting such a great cause and for hosting such a great guest!
Thanks for such a great video. I really enjoyed listening to your both's thoughts. Jessica has a nice and soothing voice, so your duo worked perfectly
Great video. Thanks for providing us with the verbal shitposting, Jessica.
28:05 LOL
Jessica seems to have an ideal voice for streaming / videos in general, hehe.
Agreed, it's pretty and soothing.
Aww shucks! Well YOU have an ideal voice for leaving kind messages in youtube comments :)
