They like those bowls since any wind that comes into it & it circulates & they can pickup the scent from 360* around. They don't live that long by accident.
Can tell already that Curl and Zach are gonna get along just fine lol
I thought the same thing!
I just want to say THANK YOU !! For bringing my “WANT,My Need, Dreams about hunting everyday and night 24/7. This is all I can think about. Being sick , and wanting to go hunting, has my struggles but I am trying to get back out in the woods. I turn 50 in November. I’ve been hunting since I was around 7 ,my dad use to take me in the stand with a sleeping bag until it got light out . I’ll never forget the first time I saw a deer with antlers . Thank You to all The Hunting Public for bringing this back to me and getting my mind off being sick
Thank you, Kurt
They make learning fun. Im kinda new to whitetail hunting and after a few weeks of watching these guys videos ive increased my knowledge of whitetails 100 fold.
Good to see a North Carolina boy with you. Do us proud Roy!
I don't hunt anymore, but y'all have taught me that I knew an amazingly small amount about hunting whitetails. I don't believe there has ever been a more informative venue in the last 30 years.
Warb has a way of taking my scattered thoughts and putting them into simple phrases that I can use in my own hunting and scouting.
It’s not so much of an “ah-ha!” moment as it is just a “duh” moment, but it brings complicated ideas into an easy to follow line of thought. When he talks, I listen
Maybe am thinking way ahead here but it would be nice to see some of the whitetail adrenaline guys join THP this year for the public land deer challenge since they also hunt on public
I really liked the public land deer challenge last year
Rip n stick outdoors would be fun to have on too
Agree
Do it in Tennessee or Kentucky maybe. Keep it moving around every year.
I really enjoy the rut coverage in PENN & Ohio. That time of year is magical & I would like to see a few more passes on the 3rd followed by a larger buck on the 10th. A week can make all the difference.
SNL, motivational guy Chris Farley...."Living out of a van down by the river" LOL!!!
Im 16, i like seeing you guys do what yall do. Im just starting to hunt public land on my own in Louisiana and i learn alot from u guys
Obviously the two people that gave a thumbs down dont watch much THP!!! They all have their own ways and knowledge. They share it with everyone when most try to keep things to them selves or sell you a product. Nothing but respect and appreciation for this group of guys. Can't wait for the next one...
12:05 I use permethrin every time I go out in the woods, still ended up with a tick and tested positive for lymes disease. It's no fun, medicine helped suppress it for the most part but I still have pain in my legs constantly now 😔
Hang in there newbies it’s going to be a fun ride
Welcome to Iowa boys! Just remember, those bucks still have another 30+ days of antler growth yet before shedding velvet. Looking forward to more velvet buck sightings.
Small world. pretty sure I bought a camera arm off Ben a few years back, even let him try out my tethrd saddle for a bit. Good guy.
The buck Ted and Roy saw looks like the same buck that Greg and Ted saw with the long bow!
Awesome refresher course. Thanks Warb!
The area of Warbs location looks very similar to the spot you shot the buck from the ground and had the dog come out to track.
When Roy said “Well da-gum if they ain’t on that private land” it literally sounded like Zach.
Hey it's great to see you out scouting and getting the new interns in the woods.
"Hey what's that brown spot?" "That's a cow!" Been there, got the T-shirt! LOL.
Ben - GO BLUE!!
Not tellin where im at but ive found quite a few sheds in buck beds also found a monster deadhead this year in same area, public is underrated
Love watching y’all’s videos! Would be awesome to see if you could come down to Florida and give Green Swamp WMA a shot and see if you could get one!
Thanks for the intel even if is the same questions and the early season motivation guys!!!
Great video! Here in Southeast Michigan, most public land parcels are quite small. Could THP make a video on how to read small parcels on OnX and determine a possible bedding area?
At 5:35. Funny that you say that, in my past experience I've always seen more deer walking along saddles instead of going straight up a ridge.
That velvet buck looks like he could be the same buck that came in on Greg!
Good ole Carolina folk, a lot of public is the western park of the state
Finally! Been waiting on a scouting video!
Hey hey guys, can’t wait for some new hunting videos.
I really love watching you guys knowledgeable and willing to share
So once you find the bedding location and are able to retrieve images of the deer your targeting. Is it best to setup on top of the bedding area or find the corridor in/out of the bedding area.... or neither.. I guess it depends on time of season/ food availability/etc?
Idk what episode warb was talking about his tundra and it making noises but It's been a while now and be a Toyota tech and a fan of the channel. It's been eating at me and I feel like iv got to say something and to make sure he gets his lower ball joints checked closely and only replace with Toyota lower ball joints if bad. The entire front corner will collapse and leave you stranded if it brakes otherwise those trucks will go forever. Keep up the awesome content. 👌
Do bucks tend to return to the same bed on a consistent basis, or just return to the general bedding location?
Dude the beginning part about talking like other people was so funny to me for some reason
Best secure your game and camp with a portable electric bear fence. 2.4 lbs for huge peace of mind
I’m so excited for this season
Those deer in the beginning would be in the next county the first second they saw you if they were in SE Wisconsin.
I’ve got a spot no one hunts on public I always see good deer on only 400 yards from the campground. 😂 no one hunts it because they go way out down the road and never pay attention to that patch of woods right behind them. Public land is a strange creature.
Yall should come to South Arkansas it’s different scenery from what everyone thinks of Arkansas.
Its just aboot THP Deer Tour time... best time of year
Never too early for deer videos. Great information.
I am.so ready for season,good hunting everyone!!!
Always look forward to ya'll getting after it during the year! Bought property in Missouri last year, looking forward to improving it and using it...lol Very nice to see ya'll able to do your thing!
Always appreciatethe videos. Getting antsy for KS deer season.
Always learning as i watch you guys. Really apricate the detail.
Can you guys explain how you would approach and hunt that bowl they bed in?
There’s something walking right there is big and black…thought they saw a Bigfoot😂😂
Boys please come to Sheffield wma in Paulding County Ga. Has been now only for 25 years
Its called “mirroring”, or isopraxism and it’s when you unconsciously modify your normal speech and body language to match that of the person or people you are talking with… I believe it is the human way to quickly form social bonds and is an ancient survival mechanism
I think Ted Bundy used to do that… Joke.
Did you just make that up? Lol
Nice shirt in the intro Aaron. I have one just like it 🤣😎
I have property that goes down hasn’t been touched in 5 years and we forget about it and that’s where all the deer are
Question: last season I found a long line of rubs along a shallow creek bank with steep embankments. The area is mostly flat. Approximately 200 yards NNE of the creek is a gradual hill with some really nice thick cover just to the west coming down that hill but I also found what I call an island with some thick cover on it as well. Its basically a small mound 20 to 25 yards across. I believe heavy hunting pressure South of this area pushes the bucks to this location. Private land to the west and North. A county rd separates public from private north and west. I found 1 bed on that rub line that's moves south to north and its next to that creek with a down tree right on the bank. My question is how would you hunt this area without being busted?
Really like to see this scouting videos . Great job. Thanks
I wish that we could use game cameras here in Missouri. Great video!
I’ve seen 4 rattlesnakes and too many hogs to count while scouting this year. Hope you boys have some snake boots....
I almost sat down next to one. I was about a foot away taking some Photography pics when I heard it and jumped away.
Define mature buck. That tall rack buck has a real bruiser for a daddy & momma but he's not there yet. But he's got a nice st
Start
Shew this took the edge right off!!! Come a long way pilgrims
How do you guys avoid poison ivy when early scouting/ hunting?
Stay away from it when you see it…it’s pretty easy to spot
Can’t wait for some new video guys if you all come to Ohio for turkey would love to go with you guys
Are those 2 new guys in this video gonna be your interns this deer tour?
Meh there must not be many mosquitoes out there! South Louisiana they’ll carry you off if you walk in the woods right now! Hahaha just as I’m typing this they mentioned some mosquitoes.
Great horn owl got him i bet.
You guys should hunt the Missouri Ozarks.
Good overview.... Getting close ;)
Need to come hunt south ga lots of public in coffee telfair area
Great video, Awesome advice. Love the content
Quick question if you are seeing does and young bucks in a area that this is a sign that the bigger and more mature deer are hiding somewhere else ??
Young bucks and doe groups usually bed closer to the main food source especially early and late season. The older bucks bed farther back in from the doe groups... They sometimes bed 1/3 from the top of a ridge or just a good place where they can get a good wind direction and able to see on coming danger. That's at least what I've noticed while out hunting and scouting. Hopefully others will give you knowledge of what they have noticed.
@@Fall_Legends alright thanks man I’ve been trying to learn anything and everything, my early season game is kinda bad
The first buck Roy and Ted spotted is 100% the longbow buck from the year prior.
Anything is possible but I doubt that's the same buck. Right side looks weak and brow tines aren't the same.
@@dublelung1 lol watch it a dozen times and you’d see it. The brows are extremely similar and the right side isn’t weak it just tapers upwards exactly like the season before.
Thanks guys . Great info
Keep up the good vids can y’all come hunt in in south south ga there is a bunch of public in the Telfair coffee county area huge deer
Good Idea tell everybody where you hunt
@@kevinschoettler3258 I don’t hunt thier I have 900 acres
Michigan boy represent!
How do you guys keep from getting absolutely covered in poison ivy on these summer scouts?
Excellent tips!
You should call that first buck Brows. Those brow times are nearly as tall as his undeveloped rack.
Would you be able to do an update to this video? Show some of the pictures you got
I tell u what do ur hick voice that so freakin funny it’s perfect
Welcome to the new interns!
I live a van...down by the river
Were those ticks on that doe that approached? I know they've been real bad around northwestern Iowa.
Why so surprised deer are out and about at 5?
I do the same thing with my accent!
Michigan gang 🤘🏼
Awesome!!
Are y'all covering scent when scouting?
What is wrong with the deer in that state walking towards you hell in Florida they don’t stick around
That one could be same buck Ted seen that busted him he will be a tank come fall
Great video
Don't worry I start talking like my peers also...funny stuff..
🔥vid man 🦌
What do you have to do to become an apprentice. Trying to get better at RUclips. I am one of your sisters students at Mexico and was just wondering application process
We should be friends. I am exactly like you boys except for the successful RUclips hunting part. I am a dang good cook too.. sooo.. you could add recipes to your channel. :)
I pick up accents fast to
#whereshebeded
Is this public land ?
Aaron bro you're bi lingual
you should hunt deer in florida
What type of camera's do you guys use? Do you use cell camera's?
I am coming to this community to ask for help. I am military and live away from my old home and want to get back into hunting as I used to as a kid. I went to a bow shop and tried to get help as per me not knowing bows is like a caveman with a AK-47. The shop didn’t help at all and I’m lost. Any suggestions would be great
I dunno how it is in the woods where you guys are but the ticks are so bad by me I dont even want to go in the woods I went to change the batteries on one of my cameras last week and pulled 38 ticks off me it was literally a 5 min in and out and the area isn't really overgrown...it just really sucks
Use Permethrin, but only spray on your boots and clothing, including socks. Hang clothing and spray ahead of time to let completely dry because it’s not for your skin.
What model that vortex spotter is
I just bought a new bow setup
What camera you filming with?
