Thank you for watching. Does your cat use overgrooming to self-soothe?

Difficult to detect problem..my cat was a stray..so his past life could be the problem..all cats usually groom, after eating, but with mine the grooming lasts far too long..l wonder about separation anxiety..although he seems to know l will be back..l always leave food ..🇨🇦

@@paulinechapman5669 consider having some energy work done with the cat. Strays and rescues can hold a lot of emotional trauma which plays out in behaviour. Free feeding can cause more stress so it’s optimum to feed your cat little and often. I feed my boys 4 times a day. Take a look at my cat chakra book it helps with energy work and you can always start really easy with putting down colour therapy to offer emotional support x

@@thegonjishkgonjishk1800 I’m so sorry to hear that. Sometimes medication or conventional treatment doesn’t help as it’s emotional or energetic. I hope this video helped you. Be sure to check out my other videos in the help for anxious cats playlist

I lost my cat in November 2023. Since then my older cat (7yrs) has been over grooming. I took him to the vet in May and blood work and urinalysis came back normal. My vet has concluded that it’s behavioural and it was triggered by my other cats passing. He’s been prescribed Prozac and it doesn’t make a difference. He also takes a fish oil supplement but his grooming is out of control now. I don’t know how to help him 😢

I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm glad you have had the tests done and that your vet has confirmed there is no physical issue. When it comes to grief our cats can store it in their chakras. It might be worth you looking into offering energy support to your cat. Colour therapy would be a great place to start. There is more information on this in my book Cat Chakras which you can get from my website www.naturallycats.co.uk You might also want to watch this video: ruclips.net/user/live3XegUeu4544?feature=share

Hi Im just wondering, if I’m not sure when it started what can I do to be sure? Also I think it might have started when I moved away. I come back for summer and holidays but I think she misses me. My mom takes care of her but I’m away either way. Do u have any recommendations¿

Thank you for sharing. I am sorry to hear that your cat is showing signs of distress. Use a picture of her when you are not with her, look at it, talk to her. Connect with her heart to heart. Give her reassurance. Just because you are not with her physically doesn't mean you can't still support and connect with her. Hopefully the video will help, if you need more support you can see my mini course here: naturallycats.co.uk/naturally-cats-courses/
