Tarantino's 8 movies are all part of the same universe, with connections to one another. In this one, "Pete Hicox" (the English guy), shares a last name with "Lt. Archie Hicox" the British undercover agent Michael Fassbender plays in Inglorious Bastards. Since these movies are about 70 years apart, they're probably grandfather & grandson. Also, Minie smokes some Red Apple cigarettes, which is a fictional brand that exists in a few of his movies.

Its possible but only if streched. That is Hicox (senior) had a newborn son or one not even born yet immediately before dying here. Said son then would have to have had his own son in his late thirties. Its more likely his great-grandson.

Definitely respect for the genuine rant on first time reactions at the end! Absolutely loved your reactions and was honestly very impressed with how quickly you both caught on to the off-feeling in the cabin! That jellybean is the perfect example of subtle storytelling. It was so nondescript and seemingly unimportant- a missing jar, all of these things were clues. Warren's suspicion SPECIFICALLY of Bob, all satisfying and treats the audience like they aren't stupid. Either you pick up on it and you're keen eye is rewarded with a heads-up to the plot twist, or you don't and you get completely surprised! Absolutely terrific movie, love Kurt Russel in everything, Samuel L. Jackson is a treasure, and Quentin Tarantino is a true genius of screenwriting and film execution.

So he had to know from somewhere else. Wether the torture part is true.... well who knows. The major says a lot of things and we just cant tell, if most of it is true or not. Thats the fun in it! :D

The poisoning scene is easily the scariest thing I've seen in a Tarantino film. There's something about the volume of blood (liquefied guts?) that they puke, along with their screams of agony. And btw guys, the story that samuel L Jackson's character told about "the confederates" son was real.... That's why Quentin Tarantino inserted flash backs so you could actually see some of the story he was telling play out. Where as though the sheriff of red rock story is kinda up in the air for the audience to decide because we never see any proof

The part was written for Jennifer Lawrence and you can tell both from her dialogue and her attitude that late 40s JJL was playing a womanchild 20something.

Dudes, I'm so jealous that you have a first viewing of Reservoir Dogs in your future. I consider it his 2nd best work after Pulp. Its conceptually similar to this film but less theatrical, more gritty realism. For what it's worth, you also have my 3rd and 4th favorite QT joints in the chamber. Dogs, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, and Jackie Brown should all be viewed on the channel sooner than later!

No one ever pays attention to how Samuel Jackson’s character was outside when the man said his son’s name and when Sam Jackson came back in, he already knew his son’s name

Fun Fact - The song playing during the vomiting scene was originally composed for another film with Kurt Russell "The Thing" by Ennio Morricone, who also composed a bunch of classic spaghetti westerns.

Just wanted say great job guys keep the reactions coming! Have a few suggestions for the upcoming spooky season, though probably not what your expecting as these are all horror comedies or parodies; Bubba Ho-Tep, Young Frankenstein, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Zombieland 1&2, Tucker and Dale vs Evil and of course still need you 2 to watch the final installment of the Evil Dead trilogy the awesomely cheesy Army of Darkness. Figured I'd recommend some movies that fit the season, but are still something different than what probably every other reactor will be doing. Though I haven't seen it yet personally What We Do In the Shadows is supposed to be another good one. A few others I'm listing separately because they are who done it comedies, rather than horror Clue, Murder by Death, The Private Eyes and Knives Out in case you want to mix it up a bit. Last one I'll mention is the series Ash vs Evil Dead which is a continuation of Raimi's Evil Dead that's both hilarious and gory, just in case you want to expand into reacting to some shows as well.

I loved Walton Goggins in this, especially near the end. Racist bastard, his duty to the law was more important, and he viewed the Major as a fellow lawman, albeit a bounty hunter.
