Fishing lake borgne for speckled trout?

launched out of rigolets marina and ran across lake catherine to lake borgne and soon as we entered lake borgne at a well known fishing spot we were welcomed with diving birds and a bunch of little trout and plus a bunch of boats as well but managed to still put together a nice box and ended the day with 35 specks 3 bass and 1 redfish..
