- This is a shortened version of the FULL RUMBLE version omitting the reloading of cast hard ball RN bullets in the 45 Auto in preparation for a range session with several factory hard ball 230 grain FMJ loadings. The original 45 Auto GI hardball round is featured in this 2 Part RUMBLE video series... Please mosey over to RUMBLE, and setting up your account there is easy...see FortuneCookie45LC...
Happiness is getting out of the hospital after 32 days and getting to watch fortune cookie 45's videos.
I now watch your videos on Rumble so I can see the full uncut version. I started loading .45ACP around 1971 using the Lee hand loader until a friend gave me a RCBS Junior press. Man what a difference, 52 yrs later I'm still loading .45ACP.
I just finished my first successful loading and shooting of .45 ACP! Tested 6 loads, all went well! Continuing on with the hobby!
keep it up
It's a great round to cast and reload for. Very forgiving on charge and oal.
The ECS 43 ammo used corrosive primers which leave a chemical salt residue in the barrel and chamber area of the weapon. This residue can migrate to the exposed surfaces of the internal parts and magazine. Military practice was to clean with hot soapy water and oil to remove these salts. This is not too common today but back through the late 1960s most shooters were aware of this issue.
...I've got a number of cans of the old GI bore cleaner/cologne...hard to find these dsys but invaluable still
..I thought you had completely eschewed YT..I follow you on Rumble now...
Balistol knocks it off quickly as well
Ain't water solubility just grand?
This guy sounds like the lion from the Looney Toons cartoons.
"Got a lil bunny rabbit in this hole. Gonna eat 'm up !!!"
First time I saw your videos. Thank you. I enjoyed it.
I had no idea youtube banned reloading lol. Alcohol, other drugs, gambling(minors targeted too) still ok though! Love your content. Happy to support thru patreon and I am glad you are already set up there and on rumble. Cheers!
@@1newme425 the info is out there, but like most things these days if its not easily accessible it might as well be not available to those who truly need it.
Thanks for sharing. I figured out what I was doing wrong with not getting your rumble channel.
You cant get the russian steel cased anymore but you can get magtech steel case under the monarch brand at academy sports... Its better because it has a full copper jacket and with a slicker zinc plated case
Edit: Academy steel cased is good ammo but only for 9mm.. hopefully they start selling 380 soon.
Never let your enemy provide your ammo!
The Wagner Commander just found that out recently. Right before he almost wiped out russia and took over the country.
Thanks for the video and information.
I have 3 full boxes of Evansville Ordnance with the head stamp of EC 43 have had them for a long time myself the fourth box has a few missing these are steel case so the magnet tells me not sure of the date but they are old ......PS you tube won't let me see your link to rumble I click the Show more and it shows a different you tuber
The "convertible" Rugers are great. I only have the .22 Single Six, but still consider the 45ACP/45LC and the 357/9mm Blackhawks great combos, and they ride high on my wish list. With the price differentials of the ACP and LC ammo, and 9mm and even 38Spl ammo, one would do well to have the options, especially if one does not reload.
The Herters cartridges look like big fat Makarovs in profile.😂
You will love the Blackhawk in 45 cal.
@@johnblood3731 not unless 45LC gets much cheaper. More likely to get the 357/9.
From my experience with semi-auto pistol ammunition made in Russia or other former Eastern Block countries they seem to all have a rounder nose profile very much like the 9mm Makarov. Even the 9mm Luger Russian steel case FMJ bullets are more round than most "ball" ammo made in NATO countries. Certainly there could be exceptions to what I have experienced with the 4 or 5 manufacturers that I have used.
Rumble on!
One minor geographical error, at some point you said Czechoslovakia: The country is currently called Czech Republic, and the old republic was Czechoslovakia, which has split into two countries: Czech and Slovakia. S&B is made in today's Czech Republic. Slovakia is in the east, Czech is in the west.
What ball .45 ammo can I buy today that’s close to military specs ? Thanks
hello fc ,you can shoot the 452 bullets complete smokeless ,in a airgun
I have so much Russian ammo and I don't want to shoot it up. 7.62x39 and 223/5.56 in cases,7.62x54r and 7.62x38r spam cans, a bunch of pistol ammo. I hope the prices come back down because right now I can't replace it now if I shoot it.
Czechoslovakia hasn't existed since the 90's
It’ll always be Czechoslovakia to me.
