- Finally getting round to uploading this. Always get asked for full show drum cams, so here we are - no edits, few mistakes, many drum faces, the full works.
2021 was a difficult year, but we played some fantastic shows in the midst of the madness. One of them was this main stage slot at Bloodstock in August. This was my first time gigging the new Meinl set up as well. Couldn't be happier with how they're sounding + the company are AMAZING to work with.
Audio mixed by Rory Doherty (RoryDoherty30@hotmail.com // @rorydohertyFOH). No samples, triggers, editing going on.

i think this video shows so much on what being a drum tech is like. as a drummer in a SUPER SMALL band, there's so many small things that can go wrong. adding in-ear monitoring, backing tracks, etc. puts it even further down the route of more things that could go wrong. having that backup there must be soooo nice. props to that person!

This is super grand. And I love it because I can hear not only the drums, but also all the other instrumentals and vocals. Sometimes drum cam footages on RUclips are more tailored for drum sounds, everything else is drowned. Not the case here. This way, I get to appreciate the drumming, the rhythm even more.

I keep finding myself coming back to this video. On the end of Night Crossings, there's just something even more groovy about the 1/16th notes on the bell of the ride during a breakdown. I did that on a few songs back in my day. I'm sure it's a Vinnie Paul influence on my part.
I'm a new fan of this drummer. How impressive, everything sounds super cool, everything perfect where each hit has to be. So I have learned many things watching geniuses play live like this man.
Finally, I've been waiting so long for this! Great, tight technical and groovy drumming at its finest!! Cheers, Ali!
