@seattlecoffeegear Hey John! Great review! But don't you think it would be better to compare Linea PB and Rocket RE Doppia? They look a bit more similar on a spec.. would you?

Hey there! You're talking about a pre-brew function of the R9. Could you please explain how to turn it on? I don't find any info anywhere...

Which one you will recommend for medium size coffee shop? And if the budget for espresso machine is $10,000. Thanks!

Also note that for longer term use, la marzocco is very responsive with tech support and part replacement! They’re very well known for their responsiveness and good customer service, as well as their machines being absolute workhorses. Realistically the biggest difference between the two machines are the price and the looks. This recommend the linea for the look alone, let alone their service!

Should I buy one of these for my home? 🤣 Is there any advantage over a home machine, say something like a Jura or saeco xelsis.

I find it funny that a company known for its home machines (Rocket) is now making full sized commercial machines. Not bad, but I'd make my bet on the Linea. La Marzocco has been around a VERY long time. I'm sure those steam wands could be swapped out for the lined, no-burn ones. Good review.

But so have been many other brands (Bezzera, Faema, La Cimbali, VBM, La Pavoni or Elektra to give just a few). Being the most agile in the marketing terms does not guarantee the best quality. Until their X iterations came out, La Marzocco did not have insulated steam wands or mixing valve which Rocket has had for years. :-)

Absolutely. You can easily pump out big lattes and cappuccinos not only for an annual family convention and your neighbours but also for the whole street or block. :-)
