      That’s awesome! How’s your experience with the Nikon Coolpix P510 so far? I’m curious to know how it performs, especially with that impressive 42x zoom. Any tips or things you’ve noticed since you started using it?

    Why on earth would you pay up to £1,700 for a Sony bridge camera? When these things are £500-800 they do make sense, but when they cost significantly more than a Canon R8 they are the very definition of insanity!

      While I agree it is a lot of money, it has a lens attached that is motorized. A full frame mirrorless camera does not include a lens, and to get a similar zoom range would require multiple lenses, further driving up the cost…and by a LOT. Personally speaking I went the FF route; I have two A7III and an assortment of lenses, but at full retail, my cost would have been over $10K. I buy everything used or refurbished, but still spent a bucket of money. It is also a huge amount of gear in size and weight as well. So there is a place for bridge cameras, even an expensive one like the Sony.

      I understand your point. The price of high-end bridge cameras like those from Sony can indeed seem steep compared to entry-level DSLRs or mirrorless cameras like the Canon R8. However, these bridge cameras offer incredible zoom ranges, excellent image stabilization, and a versatile all-in-one solution without needing multiple lenses. For some photographers, especially those who need a compact yet powerful option for travel or wildlife photography, the investment can be worth it. It all comes down to personal needs and preferences.

    Being a novice, I’ve been reading loads. Advised to look a 1” sensors. What I really want is a camera that will capture clear sharp photos at zoom - think safari - which is best for that sort of scenario?

    • @buyerblitz
      @buyerblitz  Месяц назад

      For capturing clear and sharp photos at zoom, especially in scenarios like a safari, I recommend looking at cameras with a 1" sensor. These sensors are larger than those in most smartphones and compact cameras, which means better image quality and improved performance in low light.
      Some great options include:
      Sony RX10 IV: Known for its exceptional zoom range (24-600mm equivalent) and fast autofocus, making it perfect for capturing wildlife in detail.
      Canon PowerShot G3 X: Offers a 25x optical zoom and great image stabilization, ensuring sharp photos even at long distances.
      Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 II: Provides a 16x optical zoom and a bright lens, great for both photos and 4K video.
      These cameras are designed to perform well in challenging environments, ensuring you get those perfect safari shots.
