    " Were you dreaming ," No , we were all wide awake living the dream that came true , a once lifetime trip being enjoyed under God's Sky on a Raft ... upon the waters of the mighty Yukon River , full of fresh fish bounty , we all have so many good memories but one sad when the time came to say goodbye , we will never forget that special bond of individuals working as a team , maybe one day !! ... Just dreaming ? as I close my eyes I hear the laughter , once more my mind travels back in time ... and a smile beam's across my old face ... people walking by think I wonder what he's smiling for ... they won't know ! .. but you will ? .... x

    Instead of selling all that stuff tents camping stoves wood stoves and everything fishing gear Firearms you should have kept it for camping trips so in the future you wouldn't have to repurchase new equipment because of the price of equipment these days and the poor quality of the equipment and nowadays it's made overseas for example a Coleman camping tent is made in China and the problem with the products made by Coleman camping is the zipper it is cheap I used to have a Coleman camping tent and the zipper failed on the tent and that was the only problem the tent did not leak when it rained

      @@b-radfrommalibu2702 it's good for people to live their dreams no matter what age. I have a dream of taking an old boat I have that needs alot of work down to the Gulf Of Mexico. It's 490 miles down river from me, takes about 4 or 5 days one way. Would be an adventure. Great thing about my boat is that it's aluminum and light at 24 feet it's only about 900 pounds and trailerable. So My Uncle said he would drag my trailer down to Mobile or Gulf Shores and pick up me and the boat if I would like. But 10 days on the water doesn't sound so bad. Another good thing I have a four stroke outboard for it so good fuel mileage. Unlike the 2 stroke on it now.

    Dear Dave and Brooke, I have watched this raft trip several times and each experience is so entertaining and enriching. I was 77 on 12/27/21 and am still very spiritually vibrant. However, severe orthroartritis handicaps me such that my former normal adventures are mostly verboten. Thus, I very much vicariously enjoy every video you both produce. Just 10 years ago I was able to engage in all the exhiIariating activities I witness you doing. I ask not for any pity but joy that I so enjoy your wonderful visual productions. Thank and bless you and your wonderful son and daughter so much for the gifts you have given me.

    Thanks David for sharing your adventures. An adventure I had in Alaska was back in 1959 when the town of Fairbanks only had 3 roads and all were dirt. Ahh the memories. Your memories will serve you and your family for many years.
    I had returned to Alaska in 2014 and that same hotel you folks finished in we also finished that excursion. I recognized the bar and the background. By chance did you folks ever raft the Yukon up to Circle. In 59 that was the furtherest point in North America one could drive. Great little village.
    Again David Thank YOU!! really enjoyed ....

      @Bushradical  6 лет назад

      Thanks Barr B. Ive been up to Circle dozens of times. Back in 1998 when I first cam to AK, I was working on Eielson Air Force Base finishing Concrete and I would drive up to Circle for the weekends and hang out on the river.
      No, we never did raft up that way...we always started farther down river. The river by Circle would be tough, as its very braided and always changing.

    Dave, what a fantastic story! You do a great job of narrating your videos with the all the wonderful pics by Brooke. I've never seen anything quite like the experience you all had on the water. What a great thing to do with your family and friends. Thanks for putting that together and sharing with us all. -Chad

      The whole log rafting thing is just a few of us. Its a very narrow, very rare, and very sweet slice of life.
