Hold Your Horses! - Metal Detecting an Equestrian Trainer’s 1830s Stone House to a Photo Finish!

- This week we get access to metal detect this beautiful old stone home owned by an equestrian trainer. The complex is absolutely massive, most of which are stables, pastures, and training areas so we decide to “hug the house” and work the yard since that is normally the hot spot of activity anyway.
Right out of the gate we found old antique pieces scattered around the front yard, but when we turned the corner to the side that’s where the action really picked up with a surprising huge spill. Then down the stretch we not only find the most incredible piece of the day that the homeowner just fell in love with, but we also dig up the oldest coin of the day that goes neck and neck with the age of the house! So hold your horses and let’s hit the starting line of the 1800s horse trainers house! Ready, Set, Go!

You have to add the nickname, Hotwheel Doug!
Let’s go, let’s go treasure💕🌺✌️👵
Jackie Gleason. Loved watching reruns on nick at night in the late eighties.
Love that Horse, Wow. Jackie Gleason is my all time favorite, Too the Moon Alice...🤣🤣🤣
Gotta go with my favorite actor, Gregory Peck.
WELCOME BACK DOUG!!! Great hot wheel finds... My pick for celebrity would Jackie Gleason... laughter is always the best medicine... Great finds guys and thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
I'd go for Walter Cronkite. The sincerity in his presentation was heartwarming. JFK and the '69 moon landing stand out.
JACKIE GLEESON, THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
Gregory Peck is my A lister vote
Hey Doug you've got it going with that whiskers all those cars you could go into business
Gregory Peck...To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my all time favorites.
Walter Cronkite. I remember my grandparents listening to him every night when I was a kid. Congrats Doug on cool cars, the awesome brass horse the buckle was beautiful. Congrats Rich!
Walter is my favorite. Listened to him all the time back in the day
"And that's the way it is" Walter Cronkite. I watched him when I was a kid. Unlike now days, news you could trust!
My vote would be for Walter Cronkite. Unmistakable voice in the news for decades.
That horse is beautiful! It looks like you three (four counting the home owner) had a amazing day!!
Kirk Douglas
(I remember them all, I am a 1954 baby)
Dinah Shore sang "See the USA in your Chevrolet" but Kirk Douglas gets my vote
Nice knee buckle Doug. Looks like a ninja turtle shell Jason. Great silver dimes Rich & Doug. Wow what a great group of toy cars. Beautiful brass horse Doug.
I was born in 1962 and I too will say Kirk Douglas because I Am Spartacus, which I just watched for about the 6-7th time! That brass horse was amazing, Doug you were a much better sport about it than I would've been!

Almost something haha. The lament of dirt detectives everywhere
Another great hunt. Walter Cronkite was the voice of US news for decades, he took us through numerous hard times. I vote for him.
Rich was kneeling to St. Francis

Probably too late to respond to this, but Kirk Douglas was a stud! I am SPARTICUS!!!
Brass Horse Task Force. Name change time. 😆
Gregory Peck “To Kill a Mockingbird “ was a favorite movie and book.
The best for me is Walter Cronkite. Bringing us the news from 1935 until 2009.
Doug got the jack pot with hot wheels. Great finds guys. Carl
Great finds! Loved the horse statue. What a coicidence about the horse and police pin both being relevant to the current owner, yet not belonging to him! You never know what you'll find.
I've had my 1916 merc excitement. Mine also no mint mark. But mine was in hole with 1916 barber quarter. Great hunt guys. See. Ya next week
I also picked Walter Cronkite, He was very informative and a responsible journalist. Walter had a very unique voice and manner, people trusted him.
Hi quarter hoarder im the kid you met today on the phone. Thank you so much for doing that it ment so much to me. I hope one day i can meet you and dog tag doug in person😁
I really like how you are recapping the finds at the end of the video now. Thank you for doing that. I Loved the hot wheel cars spill. I can’t believe how many red lines you guys found. Some collector may pay big bucks for those. I vote Jackie Gleason “to the moon”.
Thanks Tony. I tried this new wrap up style a few videos back and liked how it turned out so I’m going to keep doing it for a while. I’m glad you enjoy it buddy.
Walter Cronkite. He was a man of honor who reported the news without bias or sensationalism.
Betty Grable with those legs was nose art on many WWII planes.
Jackie Gleason, classic in "Smokey and the Bandit" 😂
The great one, Jackie Gleason. And away we go. Good luck
Toss up Jackie's Gleason and Gregory Peck , I have to chose Peck for his excellent acting skills. Thanks for sharing.
Kirk Douglas. But didn’t Cronkite interview Richard Nicksem?😂

Doug, horses bring in big money! That one is all brass. You found yourself a great find!
@@dogtagdoug6751I bet! Did you find a signature? Were you able to keep it or did the homeowners want it? That horse is a beauty!

@@dogtagdoug6751 Hey now, Kirk had an endless career!
I’m a Walter Cronkite vote. He was by far the one person who made my childhood memories each evening.
I have to pick Betty Grable. While researching my family tree I found out that she and my mother had the same great grandfather. I always thought she looked like my mother, genetics made an appearance.
It's Kronkite. When news was relevant, he was our window to the world.
The man was destined to live there.
Everything happens for a reason.
The cap could it be a Lantern top?
I found my first Lesney the other day. Very excited!
Doug A Lister…. Gregory Peck

If you are going to find some hotwheels those are the ones to find! Like the excitement and good job guys! Gleason for the win!
Definitely a great day at the horse farm. A knee buckle, cars and a even a horse

@@dogtagdoug6751 I like that one too! He was in some good old ones! Love all those old westerns, they could act!❤ God bless!
Another great video fellas. Now, it's gotta be Jackie Gleason. The honeymooners and smoky and the bandit but he also had the hustler with Paul Newman. Excellent, underrated movie.
Jackie Gleason to me. Great hunt guys.
Jackie baby!!!
Betty Grable

Jackie hands down! My dad and I always watched the Honeymooners when I was growing up. He was an alcoholic and was drunk on most of the shows from what my dad told me.

@@dogtagdoug6751 hey Doug. Unfortunately my grandparents place was sold . I do live on my family's property in South Carolina not far from a colonial path that took people from way south to the great lakes up north .and that's been lived on since 1766. I would love for yall to check out one day, the last old home was burned and bulldozed over in 1984 I have found lots of things just digging without a detector.
So many cars. Nice silvers. Best wishes to you from over the pond.
I really liked this one guys. Doug's toy car's and the cool brass horse and enamel policeman's pin. Your cool button, Rich's two silvers and the awesome 1840's braided hair ( congrats)
