Super cool that Charlie is related to “Hap” Arnold!! I live about 10 minutes from an Air-force base that is named offer him. He was the first base commander there. Arnold Engineering and Development Center. (AEDC) My dad worked there for 39 years.

His mother was Louise Harley, from Harleysville. HAP grew up as a Mennonite.

The eagle and horn look to be an infantry hat badge and could be Civil War or earlier. Nice find would look into it more for sure! Sweet find!
