I get relaxed watching your video...well done. We are considering the Arkto camper. It is pricey but seems well designed and built. Just wondering now after a couple of years how you like it generally...pros and cons. Thanks !
Hi Denis - we're glad our videos help you relax! We love getting feedback. You are absolutely right, the Arkto camper is well designed and built. As for pros and cons...the pros far outweigh the cons. Easy to tow and maneuver, easy set up, comfortable interior, excellent galley. For me, personally, I would like to have a small galley inside as well - a sink/burner, but that's just my preference - Barry doesn't seem to mind and since he's the one primarily making the coffee in the morning, it's not such a big deal! Oh, and another 'pro' has to be dealing with the guys at Arkto - they are very responsive to any questions or concerns we have. It's as much about the relationship between the builder/client as it is about the product. We'll visit some of these pros and cons in our next video...
nice trailer and you guys will love it. We have an Off grid expedition 2.0 also made in Edmonton alberta. You will be able to go places you never thought you could with this awesome trailer
Thanks Barry and Salwa for sharing this. It was great to see all the fantastic scenery and to share in activities that I will never be able to do. Looking forward to the next one. Les
Spectacular scenery and a very enjoyable video to watch; I loved the marmot at the end and I am already looking forward to the next one! Great camper too.
I don’t normally comment, but this photography is wonderful. I really like at the end you share some of the special shots and let us know some details for how you got the shot! I especially like how you provide details of where you re going along the way. Great and will want to see more soon.
Thanks for the thoughtful comment. We're happy to share our experiences and how we got the shots - it's a big part of our lives. We're working on the next installment ...😉
Is western Canada that beautiful or its the photographers? Can't believe how fresh and clear the rivers were. Curry for one eh Barry lol. Loved seeing you guys in your element. Xoxo
Western Canada REALLY is this beautiful. Come for a visit! Alberta has been voted in the top 10 most beautiful places in the world by National Geographic.. And BC, well……fantastic!
Have watched this video several times and enjoyed every time. I have had several standard travel trailers as well as a HUGE fifth wheel. All are severely limited where one can go,explore and visit, never mind the cost to tow. My belief is this is how comfortable camping should be done. Warm, comfortable, but not overly luxurious. Can you comment on cold (perhaps -10C ) performance. Water system as well as heater. Thanks, and lovely photography!
Hi Jay, this is our first trailer and you've pretty much summed it up! We haven't been in minus 10 but about -5 is the coldest we've been. Ours is a three season camper but I believe Arkto has come up with a 'winter' package. For us, we've never had any issues with the water system freezing. The Turma heater has been excellent, though we have burned through the propane in the last few months. Our canvas is not insulated, but again, newer versions may have that option. That's something we will look into down the road. I hope that answered your questions. Cheers.
I would SO love to have one of these. I think hands down the best design I have ever seen! I just cannot get my brain or wallet around $63k Cdn. Isn’t David Thompson country beautiful!
Thanks! We've been in some fairly high wind situations and the camper has held up really well. We've had a few issues around leaking on the canvas but Arkto has been very helpful in addressing these issues.
Thanks! We're looking forward to getting out for more extensive trips this fall. I believe the US price is about $48,500 but it's best to check directly with the company www.arktocampers.com/ - I know they have a dealer in Denver as well.

So glad you took the ferry out towards Nakusp! One of my all time fav spots is right there! Did you enjoy any Halcyon hot spring water?
It is an awesome place - the whole Kootenay region is spectacular. We'll be back to enjoy Halcyon another day👍

There is so much we liked about it. We hope to put out a video specifically reviewing likes/dislikes soon. Please stay tuned...
I wonder how you like your trailer?

It was amazing! We were so awestruck by the beauty of that area and plan on going back and exploring some more.
Great video! Can you comment on the durability during rain or higher winds? Thanks!
Thanks! We've been in some fairly high wind situations and the camper has held up really well. We've had a few issues around leaking on the canvas but Arkto has been very helpful in addressing these issues.
Does the camper have a water attachment for the outdoor shower ?
Yes, there is an outdoor shower at the back of the camper with a privacy enclosure.
@@nofixedplans69 thank you
