  • She has got some hesitation in low rpm.
I think I may have found out why was that.

You really should have no need to adjust the pilot screws that far, didn't even think they could be lol If the bike is stock they should be around 1.5 to 2 turns out, mine on my E1 are out 2 3/4 with quite a bit of modification, Exhaust, filter, +4 degree ignition advancer, shimmed main jet needles an a few others. If you need to turn them out 3-4 turns you should consider re-jetting with a Dynojet kit, but that is not necessary in my experience. Being hard to start could suggest valve clearances need doing if they have not been done in a while, need checking every 8k miles on these.

You are right. Indeed 1,5 treads. That is the factory setting.
I do not know is there any internal modification, but the bike has sport air filter, and an open exhaust system. Beside that, the bike is over 20 years, could hive some wear and tear here and there. The valve clearances are good. Other things are like air pressure, humidity could have some effect as well.

@@R.p.Smid83 even if you lived up a mountain you wouldn't need to screw them out, you screw them in to give less fuel as it would get rich due to less oxygen up hight altitudes. I'd put them to 2-2.5 turns out with how your bike is set up as you have a bit better airflow than stock. It should then start up much better than it does, the choke riches the mixture more too as you know.

@@HalfdeadRider She runs great with this setup. Gonna keep it like this for a while. The temperature is lower almost 10 degrees. Thanks for your advise.
