🌟Hey, if you're struggling with low-end performance, I might have something in my pack that could help! Atlas - Low End Tools: www.mercurialtones.com/atlas-low-end-tools
I will spend the next 12 months to master EDM , I've been doing it for a while but only at my own pace . You and other creators inspired me to take it full on and apply all the knowledge I've learned ❤
I am not fan of "ibiza" sound, BUT your knowledge, hearing sound separated and teaching skills are awesome. In this video is no useless infos. Thanx a lot. You helped everybody who likes music to produce, but was not able to study.
I literally watched like three of your videos and my music sounds ridiculously better already now thanks to you. I'm gonna watch everything you got keep it coming!!!
Also, boost the fundamental slightly, boost exactly 110 slightly and add a fairly broad cut around 200-300 - this will provide low end separation but help give the bass or rather sub a more 'solid' feel!
They say you can recognise a great teacher by the fact that they can explain something very simply. That's exactly the feeling all you vids give me! Very easy to listen to... very well explained. Thank you so so much!
This is a GREAT video... it makes me beg the question, a technique I've often used to deepen bass but not affect the timbre much is just adding a simple sine wave that pushes into that sub-region. Should I be considering LPF'd Squares more often? Or low-volume subosc squares? Quite a few different things to try.
Is there a setting in Ableton that re-centers the octaves? 40hz is E0 by default in Ableton and I'm seeing people in the comments taking away the wrong octave range (at least for Ableton). This might be misleading.
These are some awesome tips! I would also add to make sure you are mono compatible as well. Reverbs can widen the sound and give an illusion of loudness. Sometimes I play local gigs on mono systems (surprise!!!), so I always check my bass in mono. I also collapse everything below 80hz (changes based on what the tune wants) to mono just in case. I also add a small bit of saturation (I try not to have it be obvious) to help it become audible on phone and laptop speakers.
Hi Alice! Been following you for a while, great stuff and great work! Strange question: I was looking at your sample packs, which one do you recommend when I want some strong deep bases to work with? Thanks in advance! Cheers
Depends on what type of deep bass you want to have. If you are into peak-techno; then you can take a look on Pigments Obsidian pack, Melodic Techno; probably Serum Onyx is a good choice. Overall analog warm bass sound; Diva Sapphire. But I have good amount of snippets on Mercurial Tones so you can take a listen and see which one suits you best.
Ah thanks for your quick answer! I will check those out. I am not into peak techno basses (a little too stale, soulless in a sence to my ears). I am looking for warm, but still badass, basses, almost electric guitar like but then maybe a little more interesting ones. If that makes you think of new or adjusted suggestions please let me know, otherwise thanks a lot again for your answer ^^@@Alice-Efe
at first u hear high pitch sounds, sounds that arent cool, then the bass hits and its like WHAT a difference :D listen to this vid (link not mine) example: ruclips.net/video/bwDZhQyEWhc/видео.html
Yeah I agree. I have ADHD and I can barely keep up with her videos. Hope she comes to understand the knowledge she provides is enough to keep people watching.
That does it. I am throwing away 3 of my 5 pairs of headphones, keeping the sennheizer cx pro buds, and the sennheizer urbanites. Damnit Sony! You've let me down
Thanks for the video! Subscribed! I believe there's also something to be said about keeping certain ranges of bass frequencies in Mono as opposed to Stereo. Now to go play with my new toy (Elektron Model Samples)!

also layering in some 100-150 hz wide really quiet rumble makes bass very deep too
Great tutorial Alice! Crystal clear, concise and useful, Thanks
Love your channel! Always super useful tips applicable across the board, not just EDM. 👏❤️👍
I really try to make it applicable to other electronic music genres as well, so hearing this makes me very happy!
1:38 "These nutz" ;)
Terrific skills! I do understand a lot but will never come close to the level of your production skills.

I honestly LOVE your channel Alice! You are a true talent ❤
Aww thank a ton kind words! ❤
Hah, damn my new setup is good, i heard that 20hz perfectly :P People say what you dont hear below that, you can feel.
Should the offbeat kicks slightly lower gain in order to preserve the swing/groove?
Is there a setting in Ableton that re-centers the octaves? 40hz is E0 by default in Ableton and I'm seeing people in the comments taking away the wrong octave range (at least for Ableton). This might be misleading.

I picked 2 2 2 and it would depend on the genre I’m going for
So it looks like the bass is all in the first octave, d1,eb1,E1,F1, etc. That helps a ton, thanks !!!
Just chuck in a lower layer for club, no? 🤔
Hot thumbnail.
The looks are just as good as the music omg
This is one of your best videos, I learned a ton, thanks!
Great to hear that, good luck with your productions! 😊

You are looking very glamorous in this video! And these are the best tips for deep-sounding bass that I've ever heard!
lol the first few seconds of this vid made me laugh she acting like she took a bath in liquor lol (BTW that would kill a person)
i like the bass music that starts out tinny and squeky then when the bass starts it sounds like good god thats bad ass bass
at first u hear high pitch sounds, sounds that arent cool, then the bass hits and its like WHAT a difference :D listen to this vid (link not mine) example: ruclips.net/video/bwDZhQyEWhc/видео.html
i like mono bass tests the best its amazing how one flat surface can make u happy like that
That was one of the best so far. So good. Love the crunchy super-saturated sounds. Love the ending.
Das ist der Weg 🔥🕺
Thx

You can find it on Mercurial Tones 😊
@@Alice-Efe Thx Alice 😀
