So true. I'm still learning when I start my day with God through worship, prayer, and reading scripture. It makes a GREAT difference. He wants to linger with us to prepare us for the day. I find myself talking and listening to Him throughout the day. This takes effort and planning. Go to bed on time...and He will wake you up!! I'm so thankful that God is always pursuing and delighting in lingering with me!
Amen amen!!! My husband keeps telling me just listen! I go deaf to hear this authority.... When you said thats living in sin... It made so much sense!!! As hard as it is I have to honor those in authority over me

Ooooh, I can relate to the lingering with my previous job of 9 1/2 years. It took everything in me to go into work with a right mindset. I had to constantly speak out loud that I was doing God’s work, but I also knew it was time for me to leave because there was no promotion in sight for me there. And then came the pandemic. But GOD! I stared my new job in 2020, which was a promotion and got promoted again this past August! That lingering was hard but worth it.
Congratulations Karen and thank you for sharing your testimony! This is exactly where I'm at right now. I've been in the same department for a little over 9 years and have been feeling for a year that my time is finished in my current role. This message has given me some great tips on how to be intentional about hearing from God.
@@HumbleSpeaker8 thank you! And you're welcome! It can be disheartening to know there's no upward mobility where you're currently at, but always remind yourself it's the Lord's work that you're doing. It also helped that I had written down Galatians 6:9 and placed it where I could read it every day. God knows what we need and when we need it.
Amen. This is the season I am in...learning God's voice.
I love the message my sister. Keep being led by the Lord and speaking his word. If no one else tells you. You are a piece of the puzzle that's a tool that is helpful in this journey called life and how to live it well for Jesus. So yes I listen. May God continue to use and bless you real well.

This was so helpful! I'm very new at listening to God though I've been a Christian for years. Almost a year ago, I came out of spiritual bondage and believing a lie and living in sin. Since then I am growing and feel like a new believer. My family and I are going through a lot right now, and my faith has been shaken. But I hope to live and learn with a listening life. I've been scared to listen in case I hear wrong or don't "feel" or "sense" what He's saying. But you reminded me that we can't trust our feelings. But only Him and His Word.

THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO. PRECIOUS WOMAN OF GOD. CONFIRMATION THIS EVENING THAT WHAT I WAS RECEIVING AND LISTENING TO WHILE LEANING IN MY FATHERS BOSOM. IN MY QUIET TIME WAS HIS VOICE. IT WAS HIS DIRECTIVES. THERE ARE NON- NEGOTIABLES ON MY PLANNER. HIS WORD IS A LAMP UNTO MY FEET AND A LIGHT UNTO MY PATH. SO GRATEFUL THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT NOT ONLY COMFORTS HIS PEOPLE BUT HE GUIDES US. IT IS A CHOICE TO BE STILL AND REALLY KNOW WHO HE IS. AND WHO WE ARE IN HIM. YOU MENTIONED THAT WE NEED TO BE INTENTIONAL. I AGREE. TO LISTEN AND HEAR WELL HIS SMALL GENTLE VOICE. ITS A MATTER OF BEING SENSITIVE TO HIS CALLING AMONG SO MANY VOICES. AND OBEYING. MOREOVER, ITS ABOUT PAYING CLOSE ATTENTION TRUSTING AND OBEYING, JUST KNOWING THAT WE CAN NEVER GO WRONG WHEN HE LEADS. I GREET FATHER GOD FIRST. THE LORD FIRST BEFORE I GREET THE WORLD OR ANYONE ELSE. I AM MAKING THOSE NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS. STEP BY STEP. DAY BY DAY. PURSUING HIS PRESENCE. OBEYING HIS DIRECTIVES. NOT HALF WAY. NOT MY WAY. WORKING ON MASTERING THOSE SPIRITUAL DECIPLINES BECAUSE ITS MOTIVATED BY LOVE. BY CULTIVATING AN INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP. NOT RELIGION. I FIND THAT THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO. WITH THE ONE I LOVE BECAUSE HE LOVED ME FIRST. UNCONDITIONALLY. GOD DID NOT DO THINGS HALF WAY. HE GAVE IT ALL. JESUS. AND HE OVER CAME. AND WON. WE HAVE A LIVING HOPE. The condition of our heart is what determines the way we receive the Word of God. The Parable of the Sower explains this very well.
«Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.» (Matthew 13:18-23 NVI)

Thank you, Chrystal!! I live in Bali now as the US became too toxic. There’s just too much happening in this world and I visited Bali back in 2019 when I was traveling throughout SE Asia. I love how thoughtful, kind and unentitled the Indonesian people are. They have so much gratitude for what they have. When you have an opportunity to be surrounded by loving kindness on earth and it brings you peace, that is only God given! I’m thankful that our Heavenly Father gave me the opportunity again to be here again to experience being out of the chaos so that I can be still.
