Great Lesson Lauren and play this song frequently (which I leaned from you). Tricky to go from the A to B7 and sometimes (not all the time) I will play the barre chords for the A and B7 at the 5th and 7th fret. Playing it tonight outside here in Arizona looking at a billion stars with the backing track Bluetooth on my new Fishman Loud Box amp and my wife came out and said that sounded awesome, but you will piss off the neighbors. I replied our neighbor Scott behind us is on his back patio and said more Michael.
You help take the nervous out of me learning guitar after an on again off again relationship with the guitar for 30 years. Late 50's dude posting on my wife's account. Thank you
Thanks Lauren as usual another fantastic lesson your the best please keep up the great work even if it takes me a little while to get to some of the lessons ❤
3 mo.s later, I'm still working on it. I like to think I'm a bit better at the syncopated strum and can even manage that barre chord... nearly... sometimes. LB's videos do bear a lot of rewatching, I always find something I hadn't notice before. Back to work...
Great song, 2nd strumming pattern is pretty much spot on for it 👍. Tricky for me as my index finger only really works on a D chord, the rest it tends to mute strings it crosses. Consequently for 3 finger chords I have to use middle, ring and pinky. It just about work with barre chords, but it is stiff and bent from being broken years ago.
That doesn't look too difficult. Even the B7. Seems like a song where it'd sound okay to just let the chords ring, while learning it or playing guitar 2 with a more advanced friend that's strumming.
My fingers don’t bend like they used to, I find if I play in D and A it’s easier than trying to use the other keys, I have a real problem with C and F , love your lessons thanks

A true classic and one of my favorites. Thanks so much!🙏🎸
My pleasure!
This one was very good for me, first time I ever come close to managing a bar chord, happy! :)
Rock on!!!
How do you know when to strum up when playing any song on the guitar ?
It's usually the 8th note. I got over this in my 7 Level Guitar System. ☺️
Thanks for this👍👍👍
No problem 👍
Tnx🎉
Where you get that guitar strap from, i love it.
My friend at Carlino Guitars in Medford made it for me. He may have some new ones in stock.
Thanks for the tips Lauren it really helps🤗☝️👍
You’re welcome 😊
I much prefer it on a 12 string with a capo on the 2nd fret, using D,G, and A7
Awesome. Go for it!

You got this. Keep working at it.
@Lauren Bateman Oh I do, I've adapted relatively well considering, it's just a bit of an issue with 4 finger chords. Been at it since Christmas 2020.
