Awesome bike. Attended my local dealers launch day and ended up buying one a guy returned as his wife nagged him too much. 100 miles on it. Saved £1500 and got the cowl as well. Epic engine with so much torque. Gen 3 brakes and gear box are huge improvements over gen 2. I set up my own user mode as a I like a bit of traction control and a mode removes it. Mode b rolls off the throttle a bit much. Suzuki’s luxury seat with double red stitching is awesome for it. Great bike to ride at normal speeds too. I own two blades and had a s1000rr. The busa is like nothing else.
I really liked this review. Last fall I test rode one and it won me over after 5 minutes. Ordered and will pick up in a, month or two. Now I treat my impatience with watching each and every review available on RUclips. In other videos they go on and on about electronics, Hayabusa history and all apologetic about that loss of HP. Not you, you describe how the bike feels and how it makes you feel riding it. As a test ride should be, immensely useful. Thank you!
@@SimonTheSquid you're right. My friend had a busa and I was very lucky that he would allow me to ride around on it. I swear, the first time I pulled it hard my hand came off the accelerator, had to pull to a side, get down and reconsider my decision to ride it lol, fun times!
UK steve .the new busa looks great though but I've had one and a great bike so was the blackbirds my zzr1400 I do like shame they stop marking them but technology moves on so the H2 super charge now more power than you ever need.
Having never ridden a bike with low bars and rearward pegs, I bought a gen 1 Hayabusa after having a GS1200 for three years. It took me a month to get used to it and then it clicked. What a bike but brakes were useless. After a month I found it to be so comfortable that it was an easy ride for 500 km (300 mile) runs. It's a superb bike and the new one with decent brakes will be awesome.
1978 - Years ago I beat all Suzuki's GS 1000 with my Honda CBX 1000! 😎 Now 43 years later, I would like to walk up to Suzuki Hayabusa 21 and feel it float on my cadence ... It has been ordered, it will be a white, as white as my face when "he" flies with me! You can count on that! 👍13:49 - l'm 67 - 22:50 thank you - (lol) Perfect all that, the wait/order will seem long now.... but no problem I still have a few waiting who want to drive them 🤩 - / - 🙏 Great review 👍Thanks for sharing
Can't say enough how much I love this bike, nice work you do here I agree about U turns would be a decision to consider doing. Kinda weird but.. I take compliments on this bike like if it's mine so happy you liked it. Anyway awesome review,, subbed for future uploads keep going!
Hoping to get this end 2022, mainly for touring. Hopefully borders are open by then. I had a Diavel, a 1200 GS , an XSR900 & currently a GSX-S 1000. Suzuki’s are just great for me . Hopefully it will do it for me.I need a more polished & comfortable bike for touring.
Great review, I ride a 09 mint hayabusa, either you like it or not and I really like it, suspension and seat is unbelievable comfy I'll say just the gear box was acting strange a couple of times.
The Hayabusa bikes have a very fast steering head angle, which makes them feel just as nimble as a 600cc sportbike. It's a misconception for people who believe they aren't track bikes. They have full track quality race suspension and handling is obviously just as good as any bike in the class. Weight doesn't make a bike handle poorly. And even then, at 485 pounds dry weight, it's only 100 pounds heavier than a 600cc bike. Considering how effortless the engine makes power, it's much easier to ride fast, because you can accelerate strong at 3500rpms.
Can I see myself owning one? Yes, ordered a 2023 (black) from my local dealer a couple days ago. I can't wait till it ships! Estimated delivery mid Aug to mid Sept.
It is quiet as stock and I'm sure you could get a really nice deep growl out of it with an aftermarket set of pipes. I liked the tone of the stock one. Just a bit quiet level wise.
you should have turned the camera off and pinned the throttle to stop through the 1st /2nd /3rd via quickshifter to 140mph feel the power, like i did on my test ride. bike is super safe and super stable.. just done 100,000 miles on my Gen2 busa. Engine is super reliable
Believe me they don't pay me anything :D. It was the thing that struck me the most when I first saw it. Its a very smooth and refined bike though and in some ways I think the size really helps with that.
@@SimonTheSquid understood. Guess since I’m 6’5 and I currently push a Gen 1 and a VTX1800F, I can only do the larger bikes. Overall really good review, thanks for sharing. Did they say when the states would finally get them?
It is mostly the plastic. The plastic makes it look large and voluptuous. That's the whole point of a Hayabusa. You buy a Hayabusa to have the biggest sportbike on the road. It's a 1340cc engine. Some people don't realize how big that engine is. That's more than 2 (599cc) sportbike engines put together. Of course the frame and transmission and swingarm has to be extra strong to handle the 110 ft lbs of torque.
@@SimonTheSquid The worst thing is that there are people who put tiny stubby mufflers on the Hayabusa. This completely defeats the purpose of a Hayabusa. Being the the biggest machine on the road is the point. When people remove the rear fender and put smaller mufflers on a Hayabusa, it's clear that they shouldn't be riding a Hayabusa and they don't appreciate it.
@@Ritalie indeed. One thing I’d differ on is why people buy them. I did not buy my Gen 1 for the size. I bought it for how it performs, power and weight. I’m 215 so I wanted a heavier bike for crosswinds. The Honda I rode was light, the Kaw14 weight is close but it felt lighter or cheaper.
It surprised me as well lol. Really unique machine! I can see why people really love this bike. Definitely special and you feel like it's a bit of an event riding this bike. Even if it's just to pick up milk :D
To a lot of people the Hayabusa is all about speed...but talk to anyone who owns (or owned) one and they will tell you it is about so much more than just speed.
Hehe despite what it looked like I really enjoyed it. Was quite new to me as I've never ridden anything like it before. Definitely can see why so many people love it.
That's ok, to be honest you really need to do 2000 miles on it, that will boost your confidence and help you relax whilst riding it..I've had 3 Hayabusa's now they always put a big smile on my face..take care 👍
@@robbimildon9258 Firstly, it's a test ride, not a machine you'd be able to take out for 2000+ miles without purchase... Secondly, It was reviewed by a person living in the real world - I got more out of this video than your typical video about facts and numbers and performance and specs that we've already seen and read about 1000 times. Haha its just such a comfortable machine but also extremely powerful. If I wasn't doing track riding I'd probably buy one. For a street bike it's amazing. Only thing it can't do well is u turns lol.
Listen to yourself man ,get a grip . Had 3 gen1s now gen 3 . A busa owner ,a proper owner will only use mode A. In rain still mode A . Traction 1 if dry traction off anti wheelie off and it will pull better. It's just a nice motorcycle it's not that intimidating.

For me the ZZR is an all-round better machine than the first 2 gens of the Hayabusa. Not sure how it stacks up against the gen 3 though...
Beautifully captured
