Big Agnes Mica Basin - Worst or Best Camp Chair on the Market?

Here is a long term review of the Big Agnes Mica Basin camp chair after canoeing across America with it. I cover the pros and cons, as well as how to set up and collapse the chair. In terms of Helinox vs Big Agnes, Helinox chairs get blown out of the water. I can hardly get my friends that own Helinox out of this chair.

I just bought this! I love this more than other brands because there are no plastic parts on the base!

The lack of plastic parts is another big plus! Less things to break, and less bulk when packed.

Have you ever tried the Skyline UL version of this? I'm debating between this and it as they are similar.

I have not tried that chair, but I have used similar ones. it really comes down to what you are going to be using it for. If you are going backpacking then get the Skyline, it is about half a pound lighter and packs a little smaller. if you are not going long distance backpacking then I would get the Mica Basin because it is a little larger than the Skyline. The bottom line is that the larger the chair the more comfortable it is. Probably the way to go is to get the biggest chair that you think is reasonable for how you will transport it most of the time.
