A simple game, composed of just blocks. No rules to tell the player what to or not to do. They could climb the tallest mountain, in rain or shine, build whatever thier hearts desired. No matter the weather, or time of day, the player could build what they wanted, when they wanted.
BRUH i hate to admit but this is making me so emotional, i can visualise things like in 50 years, Minecraft would be not so popular anymore and my kids would just be like "Hey dad, what's Minecraft?" And i start telling them all of the memories I have made with this amazing game with the most amazing community, and im still 16 lol but still :(

You explore the familiar place as it was brand new and marvel at all the memories you made here. You find your nether portal and enter it, doon finding yourself in the old Nether World. You see one thing you'd thought would be gone forever: the Zombie Pigman. You smile and soon explore before you find a sign that says this: "To me in the future- Never forget the memories that you had made here. Always be joyful when it's hard for you. Bye!" You feel tears well into your eyes, nodding as you remember your own wise words. You'll never forget this again.

i remember the fisrt time i experience Minecraft. it had snuck onto my cousin's PC while he was "studying" to google something, but saw a strange block on the bottom of the screen. i clicked it. and all i saw was a world made of blocks and pixels.

This is beautiful, and the background make this even more, cuz I once hiked up on that very mount in the back (Mount Sumbing), it was raining that day, with my friends we built 3 tents, one for our bags and logistics, and the other two should be for us to rest, but one tent was leaking and the rains got in and made our clothes all wet. So all of us gathered inside one tent. There were 9 of us, talking about everyting until evening, it was priceless. In the midnight we woke up, prepared to continue our hike onto the summit.

to when we were just going into pre-k crying just waiting to get out to see mom. that was me. till grade 4 i would always cry before class started on the first day of school, now that i’m 15 and i’m older and a freshman in high school, it’s just not the same. i depart from my mother more while my parents have fights and might have a divorce. but now here’s me, looking back at save files on my ipod of minecraft lite, and the xbox 360 version of mc back in 2014 called “snowy evening” it was made december 22nd, meaning right before christmas basically, and the whole map was of me and my friends building santa gear and stuff. back when we thought santa was real, back when life was easy. and when i guess i was happy. and when i didn’t have to stress going to school and waking up every morning for my whole day just to have my heart slowing down faster and faster as time goes down. i wish u all good times, if u wanna add my discord go ahead it’s matty#5724 and, i’m starting to finish aquaskyes mix of slowed down mc music, but it’s sad and nostalgic stuff, gonna do all the mc songs, even the discs included. so if u wanna come check out my channel, it would mean a lot!

The Miner That Had a Crafty Plan Chapter One. Escaping Purgatory. Darkness. Darkness was all. Anywhere Steve looked was pure black. Steve was a slave underground, mining day and night with only enough water for him and the other miners working hard that barely lasted a whole minute before it was emptied. Whilst Steve mined, he only had a flint and steel with some planks of wood he was saving to keep him warm and provide light down underground. Life couldn’t be worse at the time. Legends were told about a being that would come to rescue them all once diamonds were found, yet nothing came when they did. Steve used to tell stories down in the mine about how before he was captured, he used to sit and watch the sunrise every morning without fail, but in the mine, nobody believes there is such thing as ‘The Surface’ as they were all raised in the dark, cold underground. Steve knew there was something else besides mining day and night. He just didn’t know how to find it. One afternoon, Steve had finally lost it. All of the other miners watched him in shock as he stopped mining, picked up his pickaxe and made his way through the dark tunnels to try and find an exit. Steve walked proudly through the tunnel as all of the other miners stopped and applauded his brave actions of defacing the rules. Steve couldn’t believe after eight long years he was finally on his way to getting the freedom he and all of the others deserved so long ago. Steve was going back to the surface with pride but just as he was about to begin mining a staircase out of there, the leader of the slave operation of mining had found out about the defacing of rules and he came down to see what was happening. Steve knew someone had used their signaller to tell the leader about his actions so he ran as fast as he could to make sure the leader didn’t spot him but sure enough, he did. Steve’s plan had failed but he wouldn’t let that stop him. After breaking the rule of mining, the mysterious leader had taken Steve to the dungeons where he would spend the rest of his days. Steve sat in the freezing room and accepted his fate. Chapter Two. The Rescuer. Two long days had passed in the dungeon and Steve only had one bottle of water left and only the remains of a corpse next to him for food. As his last moments approached, Steve remembered his days sat watching the sunrise. Steve always wanted to go the see the sun in space but he ended up in the opposite direction into the mines. Could life get any worse for Steve, he wondered. He was just a little boy running through fields with his mother and father until they were taken away by the armies of the Overworld. Steve never let himself forget that day. That day the army took him to mine underground for the rest of his life. Steve was beginning to lose breath rapidly and he, for the first time in eight years, saw something he never thought he would see again. Steve saw the sky. Someone or something had come down to the dungeons to rescue Steve. He couldn’t believe his eyes. The person began to cry after seeing Steve but he, after looking closely realised who it was. Steve has only had one signaller in his whole life and that was to signal his father. Steve gained all of his strength to stand up and walk to who he knew was his father, he was saved. His father explained how he was sent to the same dungeon for committing the same crime of the underground laws and trying to escape. He told Steve how he tried three times every week to get out of there but after so many attempts, he got out. To help him disguise, he joined the Overworld Army and after watching CCTV for a while, he noticed Steve was in the dungeon and he knew there wasn’t any options, he would never lose his son, not again, so he came down and saved him. Steve was shocked at the story but just as he was about to follow his father out of the mines, the tunnel out collapsed. There was really no way out this time. They were trapped in the one place they both despised Chapter Three. TRAPPED! Steve and his father were stuck underground again and when the two looked around, there was just stone walls with a huge metal door that was locked and welded shut. The only way the army got the prisoners inside was by putting a blindfold on the prisoner and the rest is unknown. Steve wanted to get out just as much as his father but he just didn’t know how. When Steve’s father came to rescue him, Steve thought the trouble was gone and he would finally be free, but the tunnel collapsing and filling in helped nothing but then, Steve remembered something about the dungeon. Every day, a solider comes down to see if the prisoners are still there. Steve’s father knew that would be the time to strike. Hours passed and finally somebody was coming inside the security solider only door. Once the solider entered, he began counting. Three corpses, one pile of untouched bones and... Another solider? They were so confused and whilst they were trying to think what was happening, Steve stood up, picked a bone up and knocked the solider senseless. As they fell to the ground, Steve and his father ran out the door and into what looked like the basement of a mansion. They were finally out of the cursed mines! Chapter Four. The Grand Escape. Boxes and crates were full to the top of food that only a mentally insane miner would think of getting. Without thinking twice, the two ran straight to the boxes, ripped them open with a diamond axe that was hanging on the wall and began feasting. They hadn’t eaten this good since Steve was young and it was New Year’s Eve midnight feast night. Hours passed and Steve was, for the first time in a long time, full. After eating literally all they can, the two walked out of the storage area carrying diamond axes for whoever tried stopping them. Steve and his dad were going on a rampage. The two approached a door that once again, could only be opened by soldiers so Steve went and grabbed the unconscious soldier and took him to the door and opened the gate to freedom once and for all. The two looked at each other, took one final breath and opened the door. They were out. They were out of the maze with no prize, the labyrinth of sounds and smells. They were out of it. Steve knew he had two options at this point. One was to go with his dad and get out of the country to forget everyone and everything to begin a new life or Steve can rescue everyone else out of the mine and finish the leader off forever. Steve knew rescuing everyone else was the better choice than selfishly going away leaving others to die in the mine. Steve and his father were furious. They both knew what they had to do to bring justice to the overworld. They had to kill the leader. They both agreed that would never be easy on their own and the room the leader was in is fully fortified with bedrock walls and soldiers at every corner. They knew what they needed and it wasn’t going to be easy to obtain. The Ender Bomb, a mix of all different creatures of The End dimension combined and transformed into one bomb. The bomb would then, when ignited, destroy every last thing dead or alive within a one hundred block radius. The bomb would need a sacrifice to explode as well and Steve knew that perfectly clear but of course it was going to be a long trek across land and sea to get to where he needed to go. The two happily walked out of the palace together swinging their axe at every solider they saw knowing how long their journey would be and the risks they would have to take, but they knew what the prize for it was. Freedom. The father and son walked out of the palace one last time looking behind them at the long eight years they suffered down in the mines and as Steve turned back around, he saw the thing he was reminded the most of his childhood, the beautiful sun was rising before his eyes. Steve felt tears down his face, not because he was staring right at the sun hurting his eyes but instead because of the nostalgic memories. His dad reminded him of the job at hand and they didn’t have much time to stare at the sun for long and so the two walked to the shore beside the palace, found a boat and sailed away from the thing they hated the most. “I love you, dad. Thank you for saving me back in there.” Steve said trying to hold back his emotions but he just couldn’t, Steve grabbed his dad and hugged him as tight as he possibly could. Chapter Five. The Village. Hours went by in the small wooden boat the two were in but eventually, they arrived at a small island that was populated by a little village. Steve had never seen anything like this before he thought to himself as he and his father got out of the boat and walked towards the village. Steve’s father told him about this island and how he used to come here before when he was younger. All of the village people knew instantly who the visitors were but not fast enough. The village had a new guardian, the last time Steve’s father came here there was a pack of wolves protecting the village but now there is what they call the Iron Golem. The golem was confused, he had never seen Steve or his father before and he thought they were intruders like the villager’s worst enemies, the zombies. The golem had rage growing in its eyes seeing the two strangers and so it charged at them attempting to attack! The villagers rushed towards the golem to try and convince it that Steve and his father were not enemies and with the best stroke of luck, the golem stopped, and gave Steve a flower as an apologetic sign. “That was a hectic start to our adventure” Steve said whilst out of breath. The villagers apologized for the golems actions but that wasn’t Steve’s interest. He wanted to know if the villagers knew anything about the hellish dimension only reached by an obsidian portal. The Nether. THIS IS THE FIRST PART OF A STORY I AM MAKING :) pls no hate UwU

This song means so much to me and my sister. I had trouble making friends, even online friends. She was always there. We played this game together always, making, crafting, roleplaying, fighting, (occasionally killing the others Minecraft dog.)
I wish I could go back into 2014 when I just started playing to get some better looks at my memories
The Miner That Had a Crafty Plan
Chapter One. Escaping Purgatory.
Darkness. Darkness was all. Anywhere Steve looked was pure black. Steve was a slave underground, mining day and night with only enough water for him and the other miners working hard that barely lasted a whole minute before it was emptied. Whilst Steve mined, he only had a flint and steel with some planks of wood he was saving to keep him warm and provide light down underground. Life couldn’t be worse at the time. Legends were told about a being that would come to rescue them all once diamonds were found, yet nothing came when they did. Steve used to tell stories down in the mine about how before he was captured, he used to sit and watch the sunrise every morning without fail, but in the mine, nobody believes there is such thing as ‘The Surface’ as they were all raised in the dark, cold underground. Steve knew there was something else besides mining day and night. He just didn’t know how to find it. One afternoon, Steve had finally lost it. All of the other miners watched him in shock as he stopped mining, picked up his pickaxe and made his way through the dark tunnels to try and find an exit. Steve walked proudly through the tunnel as all of the other miners stopped and applauded his brave actions of defacing the rules. Steve couldn’t believe after eight long years he was finally on his way to getting the freedom he and all of the others deserved so long ago. Steve was going back to the surface with pride but just as he was about to begin mining a staircase out of there, the leader of the slave operation of mining had found out about the defacing of rules and he came down to see what was happening. Steve knew someone had used their signaller to tell the leader about his actions so he ran as fast as he could to make sure the leader didn’t spot him but sure enough, he did. Steve’s plan had failed but he wouldn’t let that stop him. After breaking the rule of mining, the mysterious leader had taken Steve to the dungeons where he would spend the rest of his days. Steve sat in the freezing room and accepted his fate.
Chapter Two. The Rescuer.
Two long days had passed in the dungeon and Steve only had one bottle of water left and only the remains of a corpse next to him for food. As his last moments approached, Steve remembered his days sat watching the sunrise. Steve always wanted to go the see the sun in space but he ended up in the opposite direction into the mines. Could life get any worse for Steve, he wondered. He was just a little boy running through fields with his mother and father until they were taken away by the armies of the Overworld. Steve never let himself forget that day. That day the army took him to mine underground for the rest of his life. Steve was beginning to lose breath rapidly and he, for the first time in eight years, saw something he never thought he would see again. Steve saw the sky. Someone or something had come down to the dungeons to rescue Steve. He couldn’t believe his eyes. The person began to cry after seeing Steve but he, after looking closely realised who it was. Steve has only had one signaller in his whole life and that was to signal his father. Steve gained all of his strength to stand up and walk to who he knew was his father, he was saved. His father explained how he was sent to the same dungeon for committing the same crime of the underground laws and trying to escape. He told Steve how he tried three times every week to get out of there but after so many attempts, he got out. To help him disguise, he joined the Overworld Army and after watching CCTV for a while, he noticed Steve was in the dungeon and he knew there wasn’t any options, he would never lose his son, not again, so he came down and saved him. Steve was shocked at the story but just as he was about to follow his father out of the mines, the tunnel out collapsed. There was really no way out this time. They were trapped in the one place they both despised
Chapter Three. TRAPPED!
Steve and his father were stuck underground again and when the two looked around, there was just stone walls with a huge metal door that was locked and welded shut. The only way the army got the prisoners inside was by putting a blindfold on the prisoner and the rest is unknown. Steve wanted to get out just as much as his father but he just didn’t know how. When Steve’s father came to rescue him, Steve thought the trouble was gone and he would finally be free, but the tunnel collapsing and filling in helped nothing but then, Steve remembered something about the dungeon. Every day, a solider comes down to see if the prisoners are still there. Steve’s father knew that would be the time to strike. Hours passed and finally somebody was coming inside the security solider only door. Once the solider entered, he began counting. Three corpses, one pile of untouched bones and... Another solider? They were so confused and whilst they were trying to think what was happening, Steve stood up, picked a bone up and knocked the solider senseless. As they fell to the ground, Steve and his father ran out the door and into what looked like the basement of a mansion. They were finally out of the cursed mines!
Chapter Four. The Grand Escape.
Boxes and crates were full to the top of food that only a mentally insane miner would think of getting. Without thinking twice, the two ran straight to the boxes, ripped them open with a diamond axe that was hanging on the wall and began feasting. They hadn’t eaten this good since Steve was young and it was New Year’s Eve midnight feast night. Hours passed and Steve was, for the first time in a long time, full. After eating literally all they can, the two walked out of the storage area carrying diamond axes for whoever tried stopping them. Steve and his dad were going on a rampage. The two approached a door that once again, could only be opened by soldiers so Steve went and grabbed the unconscious soldier and took him to the door and opened the gate to freedom once and for all. The two looked at each other, took one final breath and opened the door. They were out. They were out of the maze with no prize, the labyrinth of sounds and smells. They were out of it. Steve knew he had two options at this point. One was to go with his dad and get out of the country to forget everyone and everything to begin a new life or Steve can rescue everyone else out of the mine and finish the leader off forever. Steve knew rescuing everyone else was the better choice than selfishly going away leaving others to die in the mine. Steve and his father were furious. They both knew what they had to do to bring justice to the overworld. They had to kill the leader. They both agreed that would never be easy on their own and the room the leader was in is fully fortified with bedrock walls and soldiers at every corner. They knew what they needed and it wasn’t going to be easy to obtain. The Ender Bomb, a mix of all different creatures of The End dimension combined and transformed into one bomb. The bomb would then, when ignited, destroy every last thing dead or alive within a one hundred block radius. The bomb would need a sacrifice to explode as well and Steve knew that perfectly clear but of course it was going to be a long trek across land and sea to get to where he needed to go. The two happily walked out of the palace together swinging their axe at every solider they saw knowing how long their journey would be and the risks they would have to take, but they knew what the prize for it was. Freedom. The father and son walked out of the palace one last time looking behind them at the long eight years they suffered down in the mines and as Steve turned back around, he saw the thing he was reminded the most of his childhood, the beautiful sun was rising before his eyes. Steve felt tears down his face, not because he was staring right at the sun hurting his eyes but instead because of the nostalgic memories. His dad reminded him of the job at hand and they didn’t have much time to stare at the sun for long and so the two walked to the shore beside the palace, found a boat and sailed away from the thing they hated the most. “I love you, dad. Thank you for saving me back in there.” Steve said trying to hold back his emotions but he just couldn’t, Steve grabbed his dad and hugged him as tight as he possibly could.
Chapter Five. The Village.
Hours went by in the small wooden boat the two were in but eventually, they arrived at a small island that was populated by a little village. Steve had never seen anything like this before he thought to himself as he and his father got out of the boat and walked towards the village. Steve’s father told him about this island and how he used to come here before when he was younger. All of the village people knew instantly who the visitors were but not fast enough. The village had a new guardian, the last time Steve’s father came here there was a pack of wolves protecting the village but now there is what they call the Iron Golem. The golem was confused, he had never seen Steve or his father before and he thought they were intruders like the villager’s worst enemies, the zombies. The golem had rage growing in its eyes seeing the two strangers and so it charged at them attempting to attack! The villagers rushed towards the golem to try and convince it that Steve and his father were not enemies and with the best stroke of luck, the golem stopped, and gave Steve a flower as an apologetic sign. “That was a hectic start to our adventure” Steve said whilst out of breath. The villagers apologized for the golems actions but that wasn’t Steve’s interest. He wanted to know if the villagers knew anything about the hellish dimension only reached by an obsidian portal. The Nether.

it's hard to think that there will be another game like Minecraft. but i really hope there is, because at least i know that i shouldn't put so much restriction on my children from playing it like my parents did. but even so, i had a good time.
