They are not from Singapore. Company located in Singapore to not pay taxes, the whole studio is from Yakutsk, russia.
Explains a whole lot, more Russian scamers
@@aquilleswinkler5051*more?* Is that xenophobia I smell?
@@jpjfrey5673are you seriously defending russians
@@electricant55 are you seriously hating on them for xenophobic reasons?
@@jpjfrey5673 Not xenophobic, statistic.
Here's the thing with The Day Before. This wasn't a scam done by the devs, all of it was caused by the CEOs themselves. There's a video on youtube where some russians did an interview with the Day Before devs and they were all scammed too by CEOs trying to chase the next trend
Except those CEOs were also the same people who used the hype behind The Day Before for another game that was unrelated to the game, the red flags were there from the start, but nobody really picked up on them until the "game" officially released.
3:45 This game heard about the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet glitchfest and said, "Hold my RAM."
"This game was $50, early access... $50!" -Me looking at KSP2...
* internal screaming* you just reminded me that I bought that game and...sob.
@@TheChillzoneX I bought it too. For Science! is out, it is a step forward but not as big as I had desired, it's pretty similar to KSP1 science sadly.
This "game" wasnt a game it was a puzzle they bought all the pieces and tried to put them together.
They were just trying to figure out how to use Unreal Engine, and accidentally published it instead of the actual game files /s
0:08 WHAT? 😂
This video will be a year old in 4 days. Fucking crazy how fast time flies by. I guess the trick is to make the most of the time you have.
The Day Before showed something dangerous, that some other content creator pointed out. There are now tools to make a game, easily look believable. And it wasn't the case with this "game", but others might use this to scam people through Kickstarter or other crowd funding website. Like it now happened with another "game", ILL. Which also turned out to be fake.
The Day Before development deserves its own hollywood movie lmao
Why did they specify they didn't harm anyone?
Was someone executed by the state during the development of the game?
They could've actually tried to make a half decent game and made so much more money...
Godzilla minus one is amazing
"volunteer developers" ah yes, straight from bethesda playbook
Dear chill zone there is video from Belarus channel IXBT games about this game, and the worst part is this game was not supposed to be scam. They included english subtitles recently. They have information right from the developers that was working on thos pile of garbage
Wait wait wait...they ACTUALLY released it?!
I...fuckin' hell my mind just exploded...didn't think they would actually release that trainwreck. XD
Hell, someone make a zombie mmo and rub it in their faces. Please.
This video made me remember another 'game' that barely functioned as one and rampantly plagiarised other games. Anyone else remember "Limbo of the Lost"?
It is a bit sad because it felt like a vortex of negativity and it became a self-fulfilling prophecy. The second I saw the gun play I knew it wasn't it but man being a dev in that situation? That shit has to take a toll on you right? That is a uh: "can you explain this gap in your resume moment."
This is absolutely a symptom of modern gaming.
They just took all of the scummy tactics of other, bigger game studios that had carefully reasoned out just how far they can bend their paying customers over a barrel and how much lube they have to provide to not get lynched and instead turned them up to max.
Triple A studios: we'll doctor our trailers a little. Not a ton, just show them the best, most polished bit and show it off on a PC 97 % of the audience will never be rich enough to afford, overclocked within an inch of it's life.
These guys: straight up fabricate the "in-game" footage.
Other studios: We'll call our game an open world MMO. That's not entirely correct because most zones won't be completely open and the MMO part is restricted to a lower number than people might expect, but it's relatively close so we can probably weasel our way out of it if they call us out.
These guys: open world survival MMO with literally none of those features. We have "early access" as a fig leaf for a reason, boys and girls!
Triple A studios: we'll put our game out half-baked. If it takes off, we can slowly add stuff to it as we keep peddling microtransactions. If it doesn't, we'll just cut down support to the absolute minimum until most people stop caring and leave and then pull the plug when everyone has moved on.
These guys: "everyone refunded, time to close shop!"
Triple A studios: Damn, they caught us out. Let's go with option B from our several contingency plans for how to pacify the angry mob. Give them some free stuff, say we're sorry, publish some vague "road map" with creatively non-descript "updates" to fix the most egregious issues and hope this buys us some time.
These guys: "We're sorry you feel like we scammed you by showing you footage from a game we never made to make you pay us for a game that will never exist, but you can't call us scammers because we really honestly intended to eventually provide something resembling the thing we showed you... Probably".
Maaaaan, Anthem would've been great game if it wasn't... Well a bit more expensive cash grab from EA.
They actually did have enough to pay for voice actors. If you look up their balance, they had over 1.4 mil or something like that in the bank on release day before the game even released. I dunno how much that actually goes for in terms of VA contracts, but it sounds like plenty go me.
Yeah, nothing about this company made any sense. They tried to release close to the end of the month but it only took 4 days for Steam / Valve to catch onto their BS rug pull attempt.
funniest part about being dumb as fuck (me) is that I didn't actually came to know about this game until I learned it was shutting down on the 11th lmao
Correct me if I’m wrong last time I checked into this controversy, the studio pretty much just took the money and ran if I remember that correctly
the reason i was told for the studio change is that the publisher handed the game over to some other team and thats why it happened, so it will be displayed propperly as the people who are actually in charge of the game. thats a pretty normal thing to do for a publisher if the developer studio actually goes out of buisness and they have to offload all of there work on to other teams. you dont want the new team to be considered on the same level as the team that did the shit. dont know if thats actually what happened here tho
given their history, it's hard to believe that this happened here.
yeah no, that´s not true at all
I didnt know about the day before till a day after they shut down the game...
Hey Jack, hey chat, happy Christmas yall
Okay, hear me out. I think people are too harsh on Anthem. YES, it did suck ass, BUT, the flying around was FUN! The only thing Anthem lacked was direction and content. If it had more actual content, a good story, bug fixes and optimization, it would have been amazing. I bought it long after it was dead, only because it was cheap and I wanted to see just how bad it was, and I was surprised. I actually had fun flying around and doing cool aerial shit, landing and then doin cool jumps and flying high then diving under water to go back to flying from swimming. That shit was great! But, the rest sucked. I really want a game with the flight mechanics and gameplay of Anthem, but packaged around cool stories and fun content. Anthem just makes me so sad, a great concept with zero execution. Fuck those devs that fumbled an easy touchdown.
Okay, where'd you get all the western music from? Cuz I need it.
Is there a golden raspberry like award but for games? because I really think there should be lol
You really need to see SkillUp's "review" of The Day Before, it will answer A LOT of questions about what is going on with this game. You'll never expect where the rabbit hole leads...!
imagine that IGN review being 1/10 and the reason why is just
"What the fuck is this?"
There was actually a "game" that deserved a 0/10...
What bass is that?
You didn't show the comment from the dev. :(
Someone should rip the idea off and make an actual game off of it
On Actman defense, he said he didnt play the other 2 Payday's... but yeah, 3 is not that bad, but is not an improvement from Payday 2 or even 1
No if you are going to scam people just make a porn repny harem game, they could have just made that instead and no one would be mad, there are already free models you can get with full license for selling giving you full rights, going for a zombie shooter game is just soo old classic tactic its stupid and boring at this point.
I mean they clearly made something and had money they could have just founded a decent eroge
I know where you're coming from when you say third titles of a series can be... Disappointing.
But if you tell me God of War 3 isn't the best game of the og series before 2018 I'm gonna riot o/
Also, to that "Shit happens" line? Insert the I Am Legend clip of Will Smith yelling NO.
the day before day z but worst
Yo could u make a reaftion of both parts of Lythero playing Shadow the Hedgehog, be added a twist to the gameplay & its absolutly fucking hilerious❤

far be it from me to run goalie for a corp, but Twitter was always shitty.
Not sure why you get so tickled by its failures, as if the very claim of valuing free speech over political correctness or woke, politically biased censorship even implies disinformation will suddenly not happen, or that "objective truth with facts and logic(tm)" was ever the goal.
That's a pretty nifty strawman you made there. Really impressive thatching on that one, chum.
If Twitter is shitty, it's because the people who use it are shitty. Which is everyone.
I don't care about Twitter. I will however always laugh out loud when grifters' grift comes biting them back.
