- Apple chips are crispy, crunchy, delicious, and healthy too! Dehydrating apples is easy, in this video I show you how I dehydrate apple slices to make apple chips in the dehydrator, you can also use an oven on a low setting, and even an air fryer.

Perfect video, answered all the questions I had!
Hi. I tried dehydrating apples, but the apples did not turn hard and crispy. I sliced them thinly and dehydrated them for 8 hours, temperature was 60 degrees celsius. Any tips? I can send a picture and video of the result so you can check the results.
Would Kratky apples be crispier I wonder...
Ha Ha...that was good! Thanks Mr. Chiweeni!
Looks good you should try strawberries 🍓 😋
Sounds like a plan.....Kratky or dehydrator???
@@TikkiOOO dehydrating sorry I did not make that clear 😔
will they stay crispy/crunchy if I keep them in a sealed bag for a few months?
If you vacuum seal the bag, otherwise the air will seep in and then no. You can crisp them up again in the oven on a low temperature for a few minutes, let them cool down and they will be crisp again. Thanks for the question!
@@TikkiOOO thank you
Loved your alfalfa sprouts video so did my mom!
Thanks so much Bonita, I appreciate it!
Thank you!
Good job with the editing style Tikki! Yep. Fall in the Northeast. Apple picking time!
A month without wifi. I've got a lot of catching up to do. Missed you!😃👍
Why no wifi for a month? And yes...its apple picking time!!! Pumpkins too....Thanks for the support, I appreciate it always!
@@TikkiOOO And the piles and piles of gourds my grandfather grew. They fascinated me as a kid. Each one with an individual personality.
Well, my 2 month old phone died and I just refused to accept reality. LOL! I'm very stubborn.
How did you like the slices sprinkled with cinnamon?
Hello Genevieve, none of us liked it with the cinnamon, we like the red delicious plain, its sweet enough. Thanks for asking!
Thank you for your tips for apple chips 👍
My pleasure 😊 thanks for the comment Sakuma!
These look really good! And so simple! Thank you!❤️😊🍎🍏
They are, and if you don't have a dehydrator then put them in the oven on the lowest temperature (on parchment paper)
Enjoy! Thanks for the comment Leah!
Great idea! Since they're preserved now, send me a sample to review! Good luck keeping them around! 👍
All gone...I need to make another batch, and another, and another.....thanks d.t.!
@@TikkiOOO Keep me posted! 👍
Hi... How long will it last in an air tight container/ziplock? Thanks in advance....❤️
Such good timing!!!
yes, its apple picking time!!!
😎👍✌🖖👌😁
😎👍✌🖖👌😁 thanks john!
I find that drying fruit in my dehydrator makes them "spongy". So I gave up on that. Maybe it's my dehydrator temperature?
Strange...try slicing the fruit thinner and leaving it longer. You might live in a humid environment?
