I would recommend using coconut sugar instead of granulated white sugar because apple chips are meant to be a healthy snack.

@@cheryl5994 I core the center, but leave the bottom in tact so that I can put butter, cinnamon, and sugar in it. I like the wrap it in foil too, to keep the butter, sugar, and cinnamon from draining out all through my air fryer. Then I air fry it at 400 until the butter is melted and it’s got a slight browned look on the top. You can experiment with it though, how long to cook, how much butter and sugar and whatnot.

Can you cook apples in the oven
I did exactly what you did Colt but my mine came out soggy with slight crisp around the edges . 16 min turned them over at the 8 min mark. Help
I was making them I had used a honey bee apple and they did not come out like yours not sure what I did wrong

Apple crisp is a dessert with baked oats & apples. But the word chips makes better sense to use for these because then you are not confusing people that you are talking about the dessert & not the snack.
In the UK chips are what the US and other countries call fries. Crisps are very thin slices of potato, vegetables or fruit as in the recipe.

@@maxduong4537 No they're not! I am British and chips are deep fat fried fingers of potato very often eaten with fried fish and other fried food. Fries such as sold by McDonald's are a version of chips. Crisps are wafer thin slices of potato or other root vegetable in deep fat fried and sold in packs and eaten cold.

Using a mandelin without a protector handle supplied to guide the food is a disaster Its ok for busy chefs who cuts corners and fingers Imagine a child using or watching this demo
