Found a rather rude reply from you in my mail, sir. Just thought I'd tell you that since I was only expressing discontent with this video based on it being an early installment of a series, the need for such a harsh tone in your reply was quite pointless
thank you for the explanation!!! One question though, is there only one possible solution to this problem?? Meaning, could you end up with another function that its derivitive is zero?
So i have trying to figure out this example problem out of a book and have been at it all day, i found this video and it looked like it would but i must be having a problem with the characteristic equations. the problem is u_y = x*u*u_x , u(x,0) = x. at first i thought it would be a lot like burgers equation and i found that F(x)=x but when i tried to verify that u=x it obviously is not the solution. help?
I believe it would be then a very good exercise for you to pause the video and fill in the gaps yourself. Be careful though, for you may think that Chris writes to few but he explains most of it through his comments! My humble advice to you is : always do/study math with pen and paper at hand as if it all were problems for you to solve! Even the most methodological textbooks. You'll see great improvement in your understanding of the subject that way. Believe me.
I have been watching the series of videos and they are very comprehensive. Thank you!

Thank you Professor for the wonderful videos..
Thanks for the explanation. Really helped me
Thanks for your explanation
Can you show step by step how to check the solution is the right one. I do it but I dont get it as the correct one. Thanks
Thanks a lot prof...
Respectful Sir, Thank you so much Sir, your videos are very useful :)...
Thank You Doc.
great! Thank you very much
Great sir

Good sir
what about boundary conditions?
sori sir, can i ask whether how did you obtain half
hi sir how do we convert dynamic system of continuous time predator prey bioeconomic system to discrete time predator prey bioeconomic system
can this method be used for (x,y,z,u)?
Poor video. You're skipping too many steps and it becomes hard to keep track.
