Lettttssss goooooo!!!! Guys episode 2 is out on Friday at 6pm GMT, and as always if you want to catch up to where we are now check out Patreon. (Some scenes may be cut due to copyright but hope you enjoy the reaction all the same)
Monica is absolutely right that these MCU series are a lot more about character development than the movies are. They tell the kinds of stories that are hard to tell in a blockbuster movie that has to appeal to a wide audience that expects a ton of action and may be only passingly familiar with the characters and the events that have happened previously.
@@ishaanupreti6438 I mean, they literally came out on multiple platforms saying that loki is the list watched Disney+ show. I'd say moonknight is lowkey the best disney+ show.
I think it helps to consider this Loki to be a new character. He doesn't have all the character development he got after the first Avengers movie, but he gets a lot of new development in this series.
He's not a new character, though, he's Loki from after The Avengers, with a new arc. I think everyone can understand that concept. If not, they're going to have a tough time with the actually confusing and complicated concepts of the show. Loki's character isn't one of them.
@@sfodd1979 he's not "literally" a new character, but he becomes quite different. Minor spoiler, but he changes way more over the course of this series than he does over the multiple years between Avengers and Infinity War.
Loki’s accidental involvement in the death of his mother in Thor 2 is a major part of his arc! His last words to her were essentially an immature tantrum, maybe worth rewatching those scenes on RUclips? The actress for Freya does so much with very few lines and her facial expressions - she loved Loki so much and he loved her back but he tried to pretend he didn’t and then she died because of his own selfish actions. 😭
Ohh i love these reactions both are fresh and new to e every series And addition to that no speculation or rumors about the next episode like we had with the breakdowns... It's fresh

Ayyye my first reaction that I can watch now that I’m obvious caught up with y’all journey with the MCU. It’s been great watching you and Monica appreciate the work of Marvel. 💜
Wow just realized….in the elevator scene with Loki and Mobius….they were playing the music from Avengers when Loki is in Germany before he takes the dude’s eye. Very subtle and awesome scoring!
Don't apologize for the after-thoughts. We WANT to hear your understanding & insight; I can watch any jagoff RUclipsr make faces at the screen -- what makes these videos *interesting* and *unique* are your thoughts & ideas, sharing how the art moved you or what messages you took from it. Maybe the analytics/viewer-retention data don't support that, and shame if they don't, but at least for this viewer that's why I stick around & come back. Great video, you two, can't wait for the next!
My very favorite MCU show. I do not expect that to change anytime soon. 😍😍😍😍😍 Great reacts. So happy Monica got her Loki back after she lost him in Infinity War.
All things aside, can you even imagine how you'd feel if you could see how your future goes, after being told it happens over and over again and cannot be changed? And to be told you were born to cause pain and misery and be a basic stepping stone for others to achieve their greatness?? Brutal!
ok so imagine the sacred timeline as a river and so the branches are little streams. so anytime any person makes a decision that is offcourse from their set path (u can call that fate/destiny) a branched timeline is created. Basically, a loki varient (who is not our loki) walked off their destined path and created a branched timeline, however the TVA agents weren't able to catch that varient so they are still on the run. Our loki branched off his destined path when he picked up the tessarect and went off to mongolia when he was actually supposed to go back to asgard (for Thor2 to take place). Both the Loki varients exist at the same time, but also dont. Its a little confusing but you just need to understand that the TVA exists outside of the sacred timeline and time itself. They can travel to anyplace at any point in time. That's also what the fugitive Loki varient has been doing, going to places they're not supposed to be, which is causing various more branched timelines. The screen our loki looks at when he says "is this the greatest power in the universe?" shows the sacred timeline in the middle of two red lines. If any branched timeline reaches either of those red lines it will go out of control and will be impossible to reverse the effects. Also the infinity stones are only meaningless and insignificant at the TVA and dont work there because like i said the TVA exists outside of time and space as we know it. Plus, those stones have been taken out of their particular timelines so even if they were to be taken to another timeline (within space and time) they wouldn't work there. The ancient one explained it briefly in Endgame when Bruce (Hulk) went to her to get the time stone. Hope this helped in increasing your understanding of the workings of this plot. Other stuff will be explained gradually as the series progresses but if theres still something you're confused about you cant ask im sure many will be willing to break it down. Love your reactions as always bless yall
In the MCU multiverse and different timelines are the same thing. With branching timelines meeting like a What If and this show starts off as one What If Loki picked up the tesseract and escaped. Like you said with it being outside of time and space people on the timeline or universe always think the multiverse exist.
Loki its my favorite marvels serie because its so so good and also this serie its so important for understand about the multiverse like spideman or doctor strange 2.
So basically.... there are infinite number of timelines. For example...in another timeline maybe Rico is a different person maybe he didn't start RUclips channel.... another timeline maybe he isn't a boy. In one timeline maybe Tony Stark doesn't die or didn't become Iron-man. So one choice or possibility can change everything making this particular timeline different from the others. That's what multiverse means... multiverse means multi timelines.
Lokis film ends not when thanos snaps his neck but it's when thor is hugging him waht means that the last this loki feeld was his brother huging him...
This show slightly edges out Wandavision for the best MCU series. I love the high-concept story that involves more than just beam fights, superhero landings and punching your problems away. There's still room for the classic superhero formula and more grounded fights, but I'm excited to see the MCU evolve.
Loki was never truly evil. He was just a misguided, traumatised teenager (literally, compared to a human, he is supposed to be under 20). The Avengers movie is the best way to portray that: He never actually did work with Thanos for the whole attack, he was under mind control just like Hawkeye and was tortured for a year by Thanos, and he still did everything to stop Thanos from accomplishing his goal of gaining all the stones and destroying half of the earth he could. He provided like a billion hints the entire time, manipulated events so that it failed (like the small bottleneck portal when he could have made a giant one; using chitauri instead of other armies; using only one chitauri ship; giving the Avengers reasons to fight together against him) ... Loki basically made sure the universe had more time to prepare against Thanos.
OMG OMG OMG GUYS IT'S HERE. I PRESENT TO YOU, THE GRANDEST, MOST WATCHED, AND ONE OF THE BEST MCY DISNEY PLUS SERIES, LOKI. the only reaction you'll have throughout the whole series is 😮 I'm not kidding
To explain it simpler Main timeline aka sacred timeline loki died A variant is a character that doesnt follow that already hapens in the sacred timeline For example this loki escaped instead of continuing into the movie the dark world events Therefore creating an branched timeline that we see the tva purge in order to maintain the sacred timeline Too many branches and the barier breaks And those who have seen future projects know what i mean
Loki is a variant because he picked up the Tesseract so Thor couldn’t take him back to asgard and he wasn’t in Ragnarok or infinity war that caused a branch timeline so that’s why the tva showed up because they protect the Sacred timeline
Consider that this Loki Havent fought Thanos, havent seen the ragnarok and most important he didnt get too close to thor as he was kept just after Avengers 1. Its so much he didnt get to live as the loki we know. So when he saw how was he supposed to end in his timeline... damn... thats rough
At first i thought the variants are all versions of the same loki we know, the mcu loki, later i found out they're actually from different universes, but the timeline's all the same. Thanos is always supposed to kill loki.
The current state that the mcu is in, is solely and greatly affected by the events of loki, the aftermath is kinda scary lol hope you guys have a good time watching!!
I personally enjoyed this series, if anything it was more backstory and setting up the future of the mcu. It isn’t my favourite I have to say but still enjoyed nonetheless. Hawkeye and Moonknight is goated tho
see? frigga's death should have been one of the key points, not only in the thor movies but in the mcu. That incident was portrayed so poorly we forgot how it happened.
My favorite funny moment so far has been Loki trapping B-15 in a loop. How is what Loki did wasn’t supposed to happen when the Avengers had to go back further in time because of what he did? First episode let’s start of making no sense.
I wonder if you guys ever went back and watched the proper "The Incredible Hulk" movie. Moving forward I think it's best for you guys to watch it. And all the other Spider-Man related films (Tobey trilogy, Andrew and Venom films)
The series like this and WandaVision aren’t about character development. It’s about making things with characters that fans ended up liking. Total character 180 in less than 1 episode. Does that seem right?
Everybody talking about all these “mcu” shows but barely any mention of daredevil, if you guys (I don’t mean Rico reacts) really cared about the mcu you’d know that daredevil is the first mcu show, just because Netflix made it doesn’t mean anything lmao it is in fact set in the mcu and in the first season they make tons of references. Daredevil is the only show to have a quality that’s truly above what other super hero adaptions of marvel work have been able to accomplish, all this hype over interconnected stuff is wack
Prior to the past couple years Daredevil, as well as the rest of the Netflix shows, were considered canon adjacent. Those were Feige's own words. Now it's officially in the MCU. Personally, back when I tried watching it, it bored the shit out of me. Now that's it's officially canon I'm gonna try to give it a second chance.

Its also one of the most important shows when it comes to this phase
Most watched show on Disney+ when comes to views (in minutes) per episode. Huge hit it was.
That's factual and not an opinion so there's nothing to agree to.
Easily the best MCU disney+ show so far
