DC was a vicious place to grow up in during the early 1980’s thru the mid 90’s. As a young dude coming down from NYC (Harlem & South Bronx bred) to SW DC, I had to adjust quickly to the culture of DC which was nothing like New York City! Even though the NY/DC cultures clash like oil and water, there’s a respect level that eventually gets had between real niggas from any hood. DC and Baltimore is a half hour away from each other but those two cities are night and day too and both equally dangerous! In my life travels I found that DC & LA cats connect best.
