I think you guys should keep your current head coach. He has a locker room locked down, that team plays for him. If you guys move on for him I think you should pick up DeMeco Ryan's. I can see him doing there and taking Jimmy G with him along with all the pics we gave you guys for Christian McCaffrey. Plus with the roster you already have. You guys will make the playoffs next season with that.

Tashaun Gipson has been so good for the Niners this year. To think he was on the verge of retirement last year. Dude has turned back the clock 5 years.
That's what happens when u play with the texans and bears 49ers awakened that mojo back in him.
When you combine the #1 scoring defense with ball hawks like Gipson, the 49er defense is one of the best in recent years. But the D is not the same without Greenlaw. We need him back soon.

@@jaydaking1717 Kittle been great in the end zone. Also the running game is getting better because defenses now have to try and cover the pass and the run. We been averaging 30 points a game since Purdy took over. The lowest we scored was against Seattle which was 21. Jimmy struggles to put 21 and most cases its around 17 and have to rely heavily on the defense. I also notice lot less INT, he is just more careful with the ball. In 10 games Jimmy played this year he has 16 TD and Brock in the 6 games already has 13 TD passes. So yes, Brock is playing better than Jimmy.

As a Panthers fan, I can't tell you how happy I am to see CMC on a team that can actually utilize his talent. With Purdy, Kittle, CMC, Ayuk, and some of these other guys, this team could very well go all the way. Go 49ers!
It's becoming routine for Purdy but I loved how Mitchell ran the ball after missing alot of time this year he's not running tentatively he was getting tough yards today...love to see him back

Glad to see Debo and Mitchell back. If the 9ers don't win the Super Bowl this year, that would be somewhat of a surprise. If they do win the Super Bowl, this may be the beginning of a purdy good new dynasty.

Honestly I think it will be a surprise and miracle if they do win the Superbowl this year. No rookie has ever done it and for good reason. I think a defensive coordinator will take away those checkdowns and all that stuff and Purdy may struggle. Either way we are in really good hands with Purdy cause he will only get better and better but ill be very surprised if we win it all this year. I really hope we do but its the truth. If we do make it to the Superbowl then I want to face anyone but the Chiefs. I cant fathom a 49ers 3rd straight SB loss and second to the Chiefs. It would be an amazing story if Purdy can pull it off. NinerEmpire!

I was at the game. I was proud of our fans chanting "JJ Watt" as he left the field for his last snap. You know you are a great one when an opponents fan base cheers for you for your last game.
As a 49er fan he deserved it. One of the most dominant players of all time at his peak. 3 time defensive player of the year, walter payton man of the year, first ballot hall of famer, and he got robbed of mvp for that one incredible season where he even had receiving TDs. He can be proud knowing he retired a legend.
This is the best 4th & 1 defense I’ve ever witnessed.

But yes, his "package", what he brings to the Niners, has fit into the Niners "package", very nicely.
I live near Stanford and watched him play live back in the early 2010s. He was awesome then, and I know he is ecstatic to be playing for his home team!
They traded for him right after beating the Panthers and a Panthers fan commented: *Damn. They really beat our @ss and then took our best player.* I laugh about that comment every game.

@@johnnyeric3742 Of course he'll be under more pressure in the playoffs, but so far he has taken everything in his stride. He's got a good head on his young shoulders. Not many rookies would be prepared to take a sack instead of risk throwing the ball away with a desperation pass. Take your medicine and prepare for the next play. A rookie third choice QB is making it very hard not to be selected to start in the playoffs despite the more experienced alternative choices being good quality.
He will be the reason they lose
He got lucky that a couple of bad balls didn't get intercepted, however he's already had a couple of really good throws that were interceptions counted against him (WR fault) so I guess it evens out. What's different with him is the 49ers are playing a closer game in the beginning and basically figure out the opponent and crush them as the game goes on. Unique to having him under center so we will see come playoff time.
Good to see CMC getting his chance to make himself known in the postseason.
All the best to JJ Watt a great player pure class. Was nice to see the fans give him his just respect.

Thank you! We are very fortunate! We had to suffer through a lot of years of mediocrity and owner meddling before York finally handed the reigns over to a competent coach and GM. I hope we win it all but even if we don't I am incredibly happy with what we have accomplished this year and we have a team that is built the right way that should be successful for years to come.

Congratulations on a truly legendary career for JJ Watt. A no doubt first ballot Hall of Famer, and all around class act. I really hope Brock Purdy wins Offensive Rookie of the Year. Also, even if it was just for a moment, it was awesome to see AJ Green look as dominant as he did in his prime. I feel like a lot of people have forgotten what a beast he was in Cincy before he had multiple season ending knee injuries. If not for that, and the fact that those Bengals teams never got out of the first round of the playoffs, I think he could have been truly appreciated.
No way Brock wins that. He didn't play enough. There's a lot of good rookies this year that have a full season.

This Brock Purdy quarter reminds very much of the great Joe Montana. His throws are mostly short but accurate. He throws long pass too but smart

At 3 and 4, who could see this coming?
After allowing the Cards to march right down the field on them, the Niners D stepped up and took over the game with a flurry of takeaways. Christian looked great and they did a good job of resting him for the playoffs while exercising the other RBs (CMC keeps getting better and was still itching to get back in..). Good punctuation to a good regular season - I really think that Griese can coach Purdy up to solid playoff performance.

This was a great last regular season game for the niners. The first quarter was rocky but then the offense and defense fired on all cylinders. I'm glad kyle rested most of the starters at the end of 4th quarter as well and Kyle even put in Josh Johnson in for a few snaps. I'm glad to see mitchell back today and kittle, cmc all did a great job as well. I hope Brock takes the niners deep into the playoffs and to the sb again. Jj watt was a great player and I hope he enjoys his retirement. Go niners!
I've been a Niners fan since childhood. I got to watch people like Jerry Rice, Steve Young, and Terrell Owens play, but I gotta say I think this may be the strongest Niners team I've ever personally seen.

Arguing over "interpretations" does not equal "shaming" or "scorning".
Two people can see the same evidence or facts, and "interpret" what they see differently. One might be right, both might even be wrong, but people can disagree on things without it being either side "shaming" or "scorning" the other.
Hell, I've had some great conversations on Chuge Liang and actually how pathetic he was. (He's supposedly a great leader/advisor during the Three Kingdoms period.....but his side lost almost every major engagement under his leadership)

Honestly the positional flexibility of this team drives me wild. The fact that you can easily go 5 wide, run between the tackles in an I, do end arounds, run the wr like a rb with no drop off of talent, pass to the rb like a wr or fb like a te with no drop off of talent. ALL WITH THE SAME LINEUP of Aiyuk, Deebo, Kittle, Juice, and CMC is NUTS.

I'm a big time 49er fan, and a long time fan too at that. Great finish with the reg. season. 3 and 4 to 13 and 4!!! But to see J.J. Watt...walking away into the sunset. Never to play again. He did it with class. No Super Bowl Ring but he's a true champion.
It's like the niners are getting back to their 90's form. Which is great.

There's so much talent on this team, that I believe Purdy could throw 3 INT's in this playoff game and they'd still stand a super good chance.
