Great video! May I suggest copy and pasting their names in Chinese (eg. 蔡冰, 苏芮琪) into Google Translate to listen to the pronunciations, I find it quite helpful!

being “dismissed” means clc will be inactive until their contracts expire. so they’ll officially disband next year. it’s really a shame. cube complains that they’re not successful enough but only allows them one low budget single a year. it’s sick 😭

I really hope that through GP999, CUBE realised that CLC is well liked by many. And definitely gained more recognition and probably this will be enough to push CUBE to reconsider whether disbandment is needed. Just like it’s the case for Victon and nuest (in the previous produce series) whereby the groups are on hiatus and on the verge of disbandment (unofficially), members went to the survival show and indirectly helped the group to gain more popularity which makes them decide to give it a try to have comebacks again.
From not putting their albums on streaming platforms, to sabotaging them by changing their concepts too swiftly (hobgoblin -> where are you, me -> devil -> helicopter???), to not even listening to fans when they even get a smidgen of public acknowledgement (barely even acknowledging Yueen on Good Girl, Sorn's solo getting paid dust, etc.), to their old mini albums literally being hundreds of dollars, etc. Cube did CLC so dirty. 🙃😤
amd I'm so surprised, like, their last comeback, HELICOPTER, was so successful compared to the other last ones. why would they throw away that hype by doing nothing afterwards and putting them on hiatus for a year and dismissing them
Clc is still active as solos and still doing subunit activities.
The fact that they hyped bahiyyih up then made her group look bad, makes me upset, on the full version you can see they weren't the best but they weren't as bad as mnet made them seem. Bahiyyih herself had very stable vocals, especially for being a trainee that isn't under a label. i just want a chance to see what she can really do, without mnet cutting her out.

the performance wasn't as bad as they made it seem. in my opinion, hyewon was the most stable yet they edited out all her parts to make it all seem worse. bahi wasn't too bad either, but i do agree that it wasn't a great performance overall and that theyll all need more practice if they want to debut.
on a side note, lets stay positive: at least bahi got screentime and her backstory with kai. many other relatively famous girls like xu ziyin got no airtime for their audition at all, lets be grateful that she is making her name known and hope she continues to improve!
lucky you didn't face a lot of other people throwing backlash at bahiyyih and her group. in another video i had to throw hands because of them telling she had the worst performance like wtf. anyways let's just keep supporting bahiyyih!! 💛
What I really like about this season is most of the mentors get to pick who wins something. I got so traumatized from the produce series. Imagine being talented but ranking last because one member looks goods like wtf.

That was an obviously scripted for Sakura to get the center position in Nekoya. So if Bae Yoonjung can get corrupted why not them?

@@Raphael-2 I'm very conflicted whether I agree with you or not, but I'm lowkey agreeing with you, that it doesn't make sense how Bahiyyih's cell didn't get picked when she's one of the most popular contestants. But when you said, "she didn't showcase her talent at all" and her performance was the reason why she wasn't chosen, it was a bit contradictory. I still choose to believe Bahiyyih is a dark horse, cuz i got high hopes for her.
Bahiyyih’s showcase team didnt do that well and the other 2 members in her cell were not that strong either. Im sure they’ll improve and get picked in the future, but it makes sense to me why they werent chosen. This is a competition, not a popularity contest.

CLC is unofficially disbanded. Kinda like how EXID was unofficially disbanded awhile back. Its means they wont be promoting as group for any forseeable time but if their solo careers take off and people demand a reunion, they will get one.
Yeah unfortunately CLC did not make many album sales which is why cube is no longer sponsoring them. They had a lot of strong singles, but cube pushed their comebacks so far apart it was hard to get loyal fans that would buy albums.
I wouldn't say it is similar to EXID cause they can still get together if the members decide to... It's rather similar to gugudan, where Sally said the same thing when she went on the chinese survival show (and Jellyfish confirmed the disbandment like 6 months later)
Y'all mad about bahiyyih not getting chosen as a candidate, but you need to understand that it's not just about talent or how good she is. As sunmi stated aura and presence is also a key component, it doesn't matter how good she is, if she it's showing any signs of happiness on stage. Mr chu is a upbeat happy vibes song, where when performing you need to be happy and smile or show me excitement. And none of them did, they were practically robots in facial expressions. And if you can't understand that you need to try. Also they weren't hyping her up they were just stating that it's interesting that she is Kai's little sis.
Yes or yes isn’t my favourite song either but it’s a very difficult song to execute well. The concept is on a thin line between cute and teen crush so it’s very easy to be either too cute or too teen crush(y) plus it has an exhausting choreography and gives a chance to show how good your vocals are. I can definitely see why they chose it instead of Twice’s more popular tracks.

Agree, also talking about difficulties, i think how you like that is also hard to pull off as a cover. The choreo have some possible awkward movement (the chrous part) and the 2nd part of the chrous have high chance to be a 'miss'

@@amber-sj8ri Most blackpink songs are hard, not just them but other idols too (twice with bubbly charms, izone with elegance and strong vocals, etc.). I mean, you can spit some lines, but you need tons of charisma too. It would be plain if they don't use enough attitude on the hooks "look at you, now, look at me". So i fully agree with you.
@@amber-sj8ri I agree getting the hook of bp songs is really imp otherwise it spoils the charm of the song also TWICE songs are mostly high ranged so if someone gets that or chooses that huge respect ( not cuz I am a once cuz it is hard to pull high songs with difficult choreo )
@@momolingg Twice has been using hard choreos for most of their songs since Dance the Night Away lol. I'm really proud of them since their songs are already too high pitched, yet they still nailed them with heavy dance moves.

I'm in the minority that thinks that Bahiyyih not getting that much screentime is a good thing. People were expecting her to be the next Somi but her skills are not there yet, if they showed more of the performance she would get even more hate. If she was given even more screen time on top of having her idol brother cameo people would hate on her even more. Let's see if she can stand out on her own without being favored by the editing. I'm sure she'll make it up to the final line up but maybe they'll give her the "F to A" storyline showing her improving each performance

@@jules6578 I gotta say I really do agree, Fiesta with the blue outfits was a half-tragedy I swear and I don't blame anyone, they were literally "the group no one picked" but then got stuck with a massively difficult 4th gen song which was like "??? ok go off". She wasn't as good as the other girl who did the same parts in the Fiesta red outfits, but she was stable, sounded good, and had enough charisma that she did her job well.
when i found out shen ziaoting yurina and young eun were in the same cell I SCREAMED in my opinion they are the most stable cell

I personally think Bahiyyih would’ve been chosen if she had other cell mates. BUT what surprised me was the fact that she was sad that HER CELL didn’t get chosen which shows she is a thoughtful person, she doesn’t just think about herself, after she cried she said that she will make sure her cell will stand out and work really hard for the next performance. Many of the top9 girls that were able to pick cells, they didn’t make logical decisions, they choose to pick all the aces which in the preview shows that there is lack of teamwork in them. Lea said bahiyyih is the kindest sibling among them 3 siblings, her friends said she was friendly and the most caring friend they could ever have, she must’ve hanged out with kind friends as well since she is a kind person herself, that’s why I think it mustn’t be easy to instantly get use to the atmosphere in the competition where most girls are in it to win it. Throughout the first few episodes I realized that bahiyyih doesn’t think about being the best or being the best than the other, she wants to perform and improve with her cell mates. In Mr. Chu performance, it was to cute for her to do well, her personality is very charismatic. Therefore, I think she will be able to show her charisma in izone fiesta since it is elegant, little bit cute but have that charisma to it as well. Mr.Chu performance was just to cute for her to fit the concept, it requires maintaing a smile throughout the entire performance which can be uncomfortable if such cute concept doesn’t fit you. She fits teen crush or girl crush concept since those concepts have more charisma to show which is easy for charismatic pple like bahiyyih to show naturally. I mean she is cute and adorable when she wears cute cloths and looks like an absolute angel but, I’ve seen videos of her dancing to sexy dances and dam her duality shocks you, she can be looking cute with pretty baby color outfit but can also look like a Greek goddess with sexy outfits when she performs charismatic songs.
Yes I agree. Many of the top9 didn't really pick wisely. The preview for episode 3,the trainer mentioned that they all think that they're the best. That's why their teamwork is kinda screwed. That's expected to happen if you pick all the best ones,since they're the best and they're seen as the best they'll have issues with teamwork as each of them will definitely want to shine more than everyone in their performance. I hope they'll be able to figure it out. As seen in the previews,some of them did not get along well because of this mentality. In survival shows like this,

I'm going to be honest here, I love Bahiyyih but the way some people talk about her annoys me. Some (some, not all) moas can't seem to separate her from Huening Kai and people don't like her to spite said moas. I really want her to stand out separate from her brother because imagine the absolute pressure after her brother was mentioned but I want Moas to realise we have to wait for Fiesta team 2 performance to see more of her skills and I don't want people to downplay her to just "a pretty girl who's related to someone famous".
I completely agree with you. Though Bahiyyih is not one of my top 9 picks, she is still a contestant that I’m keeping a eye on. I’m really feed up with people pushes her down our throats and acting as if she is the number one contestant in the show. I want to support Bahiyyih for her talent and not for her sharing the same blood as her brother. I really wish her the best, and I can’t wait to she her grow!!! She definitely has star quality in her.

Su Ruiqi (pronounced "Soo Ray Chee") has been my favorite since all of her appearances on competition shows in China. I'm so happy that she's not giving up and is still continuing to try hard for her dreams.
Honestly I think this is her TIME!!!
I mean who won't vote for her? She got that strong vocal with a good technique and breath support, rap and spits the whole bars, yet she can dance with huge charisma. The girl got a pack of talents and it will be such a waste if Mnet tries to fail her.

Me too i love her so much. She just emits so much charisma and stage presence especially when she performed snapping. It really fits her image,her aura and her range. It was a smart move,no wonder she was second. Loved her performance,i'll vote for her.
I feel like they hyped up Bahiyyih group and then show their bad side so in the future they can be like "omg girl you improved so much, we're so happy for you!" like no sis, she got most of it from the beginning. They just want to keep the tension + they showed her crying at the end also for hype (like literally no other clip for her solo commentery was shown but this one). It's common technique on reality shows, not only on mnet, to get themselves this one 'poor' girl and then give themselves credits for getting her potential out and brag about how they make who she is now.
but also I don't want ppl voting for her bc those hate comments "she got votes only bc she's Hyuka sister" will become real and hurtfull for Bahiyyih cuz she's not stupid she will know

Seungeun is an amazing dancer and she has a unique vocal and a commanding stage presence. As a BVNDIT fan, she was my pick before the show started.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I'd rather see Bora, Jiwon and May go far, but not make it into the group. If any of them make the final group, they'll be away from Cherry Bullet for 2.5 years. That's a long time to be away inside their 7 year contract with FNC. I want them to get as much attention as possible and go back to Cherry Bullet and continue making bops.

Thank you for your rundowns of the episodes, I don’t think my heart can take survival shows. I get attached to everyone and end up feeling sad. I might watch it when the final line up is announced but I still tend to get sad when I know someone is talented but won’t debut.
I would say Twice songs are definitely difficult to cover well!! their songs are VERY tailored to fit a vibe Twice executes really well. Especially Fancy, YoY, feel special, ICSM but even tt, cheer up and likey. With the latter, I usually see that covers tend to think it’s just about acting super cute, but twice’s cute concept was mixed with high teen themes which is hard to mimic since it mostly comes from the members’ natural charms.
Yes! The ICSM cover the trainees did showed that, they lacked the energy and charisma needed for twice songs

I haven’t watch the episode yet so i don’t know the cells that are performing it, but i’m a little bit worried about Fiesta. It’s a pretty difficult song to sing live as it has a really high register and the choreo goes hard. Maybe La vie en rose or even Panorama could have been easier options for the girls to perform 😓
I would have chosen La vie en rose as well ☹️. not spoiling but i think with practice and hard work the fiesta teams can do it, it might be a chance to show their potential in a way that they didn't get to in the demo stages

@@bread3987 I would love to see some legendary performances. I remember how when they did very very very on pd48 they tried to do really well and a lot of them were able to show their potential and debut. It would be nice if they could follow that kind of legacy
Fiesta is SO hard! I agree, I don't think that all of the songs are equal in difficulty. Tbh, although the boy group songs are difficult physically through the dancing, I guess that people are more excited to see such a different side of the contestants by doing boy group and the comparison is less harsh.
Fiesta has incredibly difficult, high vocals PLUS a deceptively hard dance, and the contestants will be compared against other feminine vocalists, so you will really be able to hear the difference.
I hope they do well, but from what we saw in the prelims, the fourth gen girl groups' songs are really very difficult musically for the contestants
I already watch both episode and i cant wait for the next performances, the eve teams catch my eyes the most since all of them in high rank but in the sneak peak mnet show they dont have a team work much.

I think they choosed the right songs, there's a nice mixture of sounds and concepts. If you think about it, having SSOTS and Cry For Me would really throw out the balance of concepts (too much strong/dark/gc)

I'm a bit nervous and curious about the mic drop performance, the song is a very strong rap based song, you can't just flunk the raps, it'll sound bad, and the teams who chose mic drop contain more vocalists, so all the best to them
i also think The Eve performance will be a hit or miss , hit cause u have alot strong vocals dancing and rappers which is good right. But at the same time i feel like they being TOO strong might be their downfall like miscommunication, pride before teamwork all those little things . but i feel like it will work out i hope

unfortunately, I think clc's disbandment is near. I'm not a clc stan so I'm not completely knowledgable about them, but I think it's just a cube thing to drop a senior girl group when a new one debuts and so on. I didn't think it would happen with gidle but it did and my disappointment can't be described in words
I also think that CLC's disbandment is going to happen soon. G-idle has Soyeon so I am not worried about them (this is why Neverlands should appreciate Soyeon and not bash her or call her greedy - lol random rant). G-idle is on hiatus because of Soojin's scandal but I think they're going to have a comeback soon (since Soyeon also just finished her solo promotions).

people are forgetting she rank 26 while she's independent trainee and she rank higher than an jeongmin ex sm trainee (rank 30) who trained longer than her and people want to tell me she is not talented please and rank 3 places down from kim chaehyun another ex sm trainee(rank 23) who trained for 6 years people just don't want to admit she has potential i think shes going to improve the most on the show and i cant wait to see it underdog/redemption storyline here we go

I'm glad they didn't show Bahiyyih a lot because it would've been cliche because she is related to kai, but they really did act like they were going to show her a lot so I was disappointed but not surprised lol
I don't think they hyped her up either, I didn't expect her to do good or bad, I'm gonna vote for her no matter what though because I think she has more to show and plus I'm a biased MOA lmao.
I've seen so many people wanting Bahiyyih to debut just because she's a TXt member's sister and just because that will make him so happy, but realistically this is a really serious thing for many of the trainees and already experienced idols in the show, this is not just to make someone happy. With the skills she has shown she's not ready to debut and she can improve during the show of course but I don't see her debuting she's very inexperienced. With more training she can of course.
OMG! Agree with you! But also, I do think that it’s a little too early to judge whether she can debut or not. Like from the past produce series, trainees that didn’t do well in their first stage, have shown progress at the subsequent stages.
Although, if it’s based solely from the first stage, realistically speaking, she didn’t really stand out (putting the age and years of experience aside); not that she is really that bad but if comparing with others who are way better, you can really tell the difference in level.
@@shuxuanlow246 exactly and this is not coming from a place of hate is just being realistic, a very good example is that Bahiyyih is the same age as Yeseo and you can really see the years of training that Yeseo has, the presence and confidence she shows is noticeable, I'm sure Bahi will improve but it's too early for her... unless in the show she gives a 360° in improvement then it'll be interesting to see, it has happened before so I'm still curious.

okay, i didn’t have high expectations. but since nobody else will say it because they’re embarrassed for hyping her up (just because she’s a huening, literally that’s the only reason she got famous so quickly) she is okay. her dancing is MUCH better than her singing, and i think if she did a more energetic song like me gustas tu, they honestly could’ve sounded good. but her vocals aren’t as stable as y’all are saying. they definitely should’ve gave her more lines, but if you listen to the lines she did get, you can hear that she is not very stable when ending her notes. you guys are trying to justify it by saying she’s only 16, with little to no training time when age nor does training time matter. they can’t make you an idol, and you can’t age into idolship. you have the talent, and they perfect it. y’all really need to stop letting fame get in the way of judgement. she’s an average trainee, dont let he title huening block you from seeing that.
Couldn’t have said it better. I think it’s fine if fans are saying that she can see potential in her considering that she is an independent trainee, and that she is young. But to use the same reason to justify that should be in top 9 (for this stage) doesn’t sit right with me [I did read a comment about this, to actually say it]. Being in the top ranks should be based on talents/skills (+ personality/character) and not because she did OK by taking her age and not having an agency into account.
