Palak Paneer
Palak paneer is a North Indian main course. The blanched spinach that's made into a thick paste and tempered with butter and garlic and fresh cottage cheese is simmered on it. It tastes wonderful with Naan or Tandoori Roti. A very easy recipe is what I bring to you. Have a look and try it at home!

Recipe: Palak Paneer

Ingredients
2 tbsp oil
1 TSP Jeera
2 TSP chopped garlic
1 TSP chopped ginger
2 TSP Red chilly powder
2 TSP coriander powder
Salt to taste
1 bunch palak cleaned
2 green chilly whole
1 cup coriander fresh
1 cup yoghurt
200 GMS paneer cubed
2 tsp turmeric powder
1 Tsp ginger powder
1 TSP saunf powder
2 tsp kitchen king masala
1 pinch cinnamon powder
1 TSP Kasturi methi
1/4 cup cream
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp ghee
3 nos Whole red chillies
Chopped coriander for garnish
Method
• Blanch palak, and grind it together with green chilly and fresh coriander to a smooth paste
• Marinate the paneer cubes with salt, turmeric and red chilly powder and pan fry the paneer till crisp using a little oil
• Heat oil in a pan add jeera and whole chillies and allow it to crackle remove 2 whole chillies for garnish, then add some chopped garlic, chopped ginger and saute well
• Add red chilly powder, turmeric and coriander powder and cook on medium heat
• Add a cup of curd and cook further stirring continuously
• Add ginger powder, saunf powder, sabzi masala, kasoori methi and cook further
• Add spinach puree and cook till pleasant aroma releases.
• Add cream and butter and cinnamon powder
• Then add fried paneer and cook on slow heat
• Finally adjust seasoning by adding salt, salt is added in the end to preserve the green colour of spinach
• Serve hot and garnish with cream and reserve fried chillies

Instead of asking mom to do, it's better you prepare it and serve it to her. I never cooked when mom was there, later on learnt cooking, now I know to prepare many dishes and people appreciate my cooking but that iota of regret remained that I never learnt cooking before or prepared anything for her while she was alive.

Dear Ajay Chopraji, like I said, tried your above recipe following every step as per the directions. Including cinnamon powder as per Mrs Chopra. The colour has been green and pan fry of paneer after marination ( first time) has added to the taste. Have also garnished it with two chilies. It’s come very good. Thanks again and again.
