[4K] Walking in Seongsan-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul

Hello, this is Jmh Walker. Today I walked around Seongsan-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. This is where Seongsan 1-dong is represented as a village community, and there are alternative schools such as Seongmisan School and famous joint childcare centers such as Seongmisan Daycare Center and Sinchon Woori Daycare Center. Because of this, the village community has developed since the early 2000s, and now there are tour products offering tours of the area. Before the coronavirus, the bond between village residents was so deep that village festivals were held regularly. Seongmisan Village website and village tour provided. Seongmisan Village is a residential area centered on Seongsan (Seongmisan Mountain) toward Mangwon-dong. Seongsan 2-dong is far from the Hongdae commercial area, so it is more influenced by the Digital Media City business district. Additionally, there is the Seoul World Cup Stadium, so on days when soccer games are held, the area around the stadium is crowded. There are commercial facilities such as Homeplus and Megabox inside the stadium, and the Mapo Agricultural and Marine Products Market is nearby, so there is a lot of floating population.
