Thanks for this. Just installed this system inline with my Aprilaire 500 whole house humidifier on my furnace. We're on well water and I had so much build up of scale in the drain port of the pad that it clogged and overflowed the plastic tray. Luckily caught it only 30 minutes into the leak. We shall see if this helps or not. Fingers crossed!

I’m actually installing this as we speak but I used a sharpie to write the year on it because, unless I’m wrong, the month AND year are needed because you replace it every 5 YEARS. Right?

Is it okay that the water supply is hot? Not warm, it’s hot.

Verify your refrigerator has been hooked up to the cold water line. Installing the refrigerator up to the hot (for dishwasher ) water line will cause the unit to dispense warm/hot water.
