I'm happy for them both - it's so fitting that California is the first state to allow and recognize gay marriage. Although I am not gay - I strongly support the right of anyone to love and marry anyone they choose. Thanks for posting this - it's a lesson in love for us all.

to me people arent gay or straight or bisexual or black or white or asian or hispanic etc. they're just people. labels arent necessary. if the same sex are a couple thats terrific if opposite sexes are a couple thats terrific. my main point is in case i'm not making myself clear is that people shouldnt be labeled. they should just be considered people who no matter what they are they should be treated equally. no more no less special. i hope everything i said came out right lol

This upload was beautiful.It showed just how much in love Ellen & Portia appear to be! And isn't THAT all which matters?! You can plainly see the affect these two women have on each other,they have,not only a strong love/bond, but total adoration. Why would anyone want to prevent them from getting married or being together? so what,yes they are both women,but honestly what difference will that make? there are enough people on the planet,so passing down our dna is not really a strong arguement and religion...no one can speak on God's behalfunless they kno him personally.
I like the quote, It's a nice way of saying that one is a choice and one is not, but either way, all I'm sayin' is fundamentally religion and sexuality (of adults) should be positive things unless they are hurting other people.
