is a good advice but decisions related to education and work are still random and with limited information. Yes is should be researched and analyzed but only if the person has enough information and support from his family (close circle of friends). Those also will provide the information needed to select a good person to build a long term relation. So in short when you decide something is good to look at the families that are successfully - work/family/education/health and copy that. Be realistic and agree that you know nothing. If you want a partner take a look to his/her family. If you want to work to a company take a look on the colleagues and families. If you want to become a doctor take a look to the doctors that you meet, how are them, how are their families. Copy paste the right models, follow them and learn from them.

When you've mapped out your futur career in detail and sacrifice to ensure your success, you've no need/time for a relationship or family. The two ideas are noncompatible.

relationships are easy - living together/being parents is difficult.
