Correction** As of march 2022, 38.53% of total energy generates from renewable sources (Wind, Solar, Biomass, Hydropower) and 8% of the total energy is through nuclear which is carbon free but not renewable. So only 54% of total Energy production is from coal and looking at the commitment and pace of development we're very likely to replace 80% of our energy sources carbon free by 2030

100% electrification of IR and dedicated freight corridor will be a game changer for Indian economy. Cheaper transit , faster and efficient along with less pollution.
IR have already pledged to expand/use their land to install solar pannels and most railway station have solar panels which power stations partially or fully.
Even the diesel generator in trains used for train lighting and AC are replaced by Head-on generation system to take electricity directly from grid.
12000HP beast WAG12 and 6250HP beast WAP 7 are leading both freight and passenger segment as most powerful EV in India as of now.

Electricity coming from coal is the most stable electricity. Next most stable way is hydel. I work in the renewable energy field from a decade. But I have never seen more stable electricity than coal and hydel. I agree there's a lot of good in renewable energy but we also need power system stability equipment which we don't usually install along with the renewables.

The main point of shifting everything towards electric is that if everything runs on electricity, then by innovating in 2 or 3 forms of producing electricity efficiently and in an eco friendly way , you can significantly solve the pollution problem. The whole point is to reduce the variables and work on the ones that remain after that.

      This is the problem bro
solar panels are too costly that's why they aren't using but just think for army and military they have a big budget like 4-5B then why they can't invest in this
