she got rich and famous bc people are morons who enable that stuff to go viral, the same kind of people who scream "worldstar!" and start filming when a fight breaks out
John Gabbana is living proof anybody can turn their life around. It does not matter how many drugs you were on or how insane you are. There is always hope for a better day.
Speaking of successful memes to career, I think Joji qualifies for this. Although pink guy wasn’t a singular meme and therefore had longevity, it’s cool how he has a successful career in “serious” music
Yo we just forgetting Joji out here? As a kid growing up on the internet, Filthy Frank turning into an acclaimed artist was never something I thought I would see. But here we are.
I remember meeting Patty on the beach in Daytona while doing a photoshoot while him and Big Win where shooting a few scenes at Daytona peer for BlahBlah. His content doesnt give off the right impression of him as a person, hes like one of the nicest peeps you'll meet was super humble and actually had allot of passion for his music at least at that time lol.
Okay but you've seen his content...right? Doesn't scream humble, or respectful, or decent human being. The clip in this video he's stealing and destroying property. On the Internet you are the person you portray yourself to be. And he portrays himself as a cringelord douchebag.
I know this is fairly random but I remember doing a practice lockdown at school where we were supposed to be quiet (because in a real lockdown you're quiet or you get shot) and this one dude was rustling around in this paper bag ass jacket
i feel like the fact bhadbhabie genuinely didn’t fall off after getting famous from a meme is not properly appreciated 😭 like she even got people to refer to her mostly as bhadbhabie instead of danielle bregoli
i used to listen to her music unironically. her music honestly wasn't bad for its time, but there are some accusations that she got ghost writers. still getting 200M streams on Spotify from a person who's known for a meme is unheard of.
for real Gucci flip flops was a bop. she's speaking out now about "rehabilitation camps" for youths being extremely abusive which isn't spoken of at all in media which is good
omg literally cause her music is a guilty pleasure of mine cause i actually like a lot of it but if i play it on the aux im gonna get clowned on which is sad cause she actually isnt a bad person and i still keep an eye on her socials and she's super successful which is great considering her roots on dr phil
I went to the same HS as Backpack Kid when I was a Senior in 2017 - 18, around the time he blew up online and on SNL. I remember vividly that he had a whole ass group of people that would occupy the whole hallway from morning, after each class all the way til we got out at 2 o clock, even at lunch his "posse" would have 3 - 4 lunch tables occupied just to stay around him. Eventually it died down but holy crap, I've never seen so much people around one person in my life
Yo Matt, I have no idea when you started popping into my feed but I am so happy it did. Your content is entertaining as hell and you make jokes so subtly that catch me off guard and get me cracking up. Keep up the great work with your videos!
By far, the MOST SHOCKING info in this video is that Theo Von was in Cash Me Outside Girl’s music video 😂 like WTF?!? I really ain’t trying to watch her music videos but damn, I might have to see that lol
Backpack Kid to me probably been corny and socially awkward up until he realized he could do that lil dance move....git that attention and his head unreasonably swelled
John really turned his life around, and his music is completely different, I like it but I know people aren't into clean and more religious type rap, but he has turned around like I've never seen before
The backpack kids' hand movements kinda remind me of some tai chi moves. I think that he maybe instinctively feels something from his dancing. If nothing else it's probably good for his health. Keep dancing dude
The best example of a rapper doing something with a meme is the german rapper xatar that had a meme of him talking about food and after it got a lot of atention he opened a restaurant and made it a franchise so he made a big move of of that
@@mattyballz i understand where you're coming from but my point is exactly that, that different generations consider different things to be good. We older people (though i'm "only" 30 lol) have different musical backgrounds and with a constantly changing music industry I assure you the overwhelming majority of people older than me isn't really finding any enjoyment in music like that for 2 reasons: it has nothing in common with what we know (it's even insulting to us old people that she would call herself a rapper) and it's not like music has been getting better with artists like her looking for ways to make it in the industry over any artistic aspirations
Boonk/john gabbana is kind of the reason why most of these new musicians or others are doing stuff that he did and trying go viral and it's not working for any of them
Still don't know how the backpack kid got famous from doing a fortnite dance he literally started doing it after the dance was a thing and took credit for it
I hated Boonk, that backpack kid, Supreme Patty, and Woah Vicky. Bhad Bhabie is the only one that didn't irritate me that much. I'm glad most of them aren't viral anymore that way they aren't all over my feed.

just wanna clarify i use the term musician lightly 😂

you have your content from hip hop culture

yeah🤣
I think on a lesser scale, denzel curry should be on this list.
