Steve is a purely true musician,,,,always focused on what he can do with the instrument and NOT focusing on the technology end of music. TECH IS GOOD,,BUT The real RAW musicians can plug in to an AMPLIFIER AND PLAY AWESOME,,,,,SRV - STEVE STEVEN'S - BB KING - ITs more of IT'S IN THE FINGERS MORE THAN THE AVERAGE PERSON REALIZE. THANKS YOU MR. STEVEN'S YOUR SHUCH AN INSPIRATION TO US OTHER GUITARISTS. - RJ.

I am so happy I found this interview. Steve Stevens has always been one of my favorite guitar players, and here he really shines. You can understand how this whole phenomenon unfolded. Fascinating. Thanks.

Such a solid guitar player. really understands theory, and composition. Phrasing,melody,dynamics....sorry, I just get blown away by his over all talent. I was into hard core punk then some Pantera (Dime actually , Vinnie P.) (R.I.P.) DAMN ..........and then gravitated back to my childhood favorites like Sabbath,Zeppelin, Bowie(w/Mick Ronson) Deep Purple(w/Richie Blackmore) and then started getting just freaked out by Segovia, Montoya, and the classical Champions. But yeah Steve Stevens, a solid pro guitarist. Cool dude, positive energy, doesn't mind sharing the love. The guitar is an infinite mesmerizing gift from the gods.

I totally heard the Nuno thing too! But there is some Page in there too. Check out Rory Gallagher playing acoustic stuff he also had this kind of thing going on!

I thinkl that is why I love Steve because he never rests on the electric embelishments and I love accoustic and he is very true that style. He really pulls the sounds fromt he instrument.
Teh layering, the levels...everything. He does not need to rest on pedals and wa-wa( although he uses them)..theya re no crutch!! LOVE YA STEVE. I am not into Rock guitars ...but I love your palying. It's the best!!!

Wow. I had no idea. The guy is awesome. But moreso, he is an intelligent and thoughtful musician. He examines influences and behavior from other musician, and he is so broad in his interests. Have to laugh... frowny faced grandparents would probably look at him and think, "trouble", and then he opens his mouth and he's the such a polite, smart man. Ha ha.

@SputnikChannel The Jackson Dinky body is basically 9/10th size. I have 2, one black and one blue. Both have Jackson wide necks. They are economical and fun to play. Also plentiful on Craigslist and ebay.

@plaidzinc No not at all, just an electric Guitar and an amp, I learned this back when I was playing on a $80 squire strat and a $50 10 watt fender amp. Practice around and you'll get the hang of it in no time :-)

He is more Randy Rhoads than Eddie Valen to me. In Billy Idol's albums he 's more sounds like Eddie Van Halen while with with Vince Neil and the other rest of the band he joined then i can hear his Randy Rhoads influence.

I've always said ~ If I'm ever reincarnated... please don't let me come back as Steve Stevens' guitar pick. It would be a short 'next life'... that guy must wear a pick down to a nub in about 3 songs. =)
