Saw them in concert 3 times early 2000's I never understood why more people didn't love this band. By far one of the most underrated bands of our time.
This, will the future blame us, Apology, don't stop, Picture. Some of the best tracks along with everything pre-gravity in my opinion but the process of recording that album for them was so harrowing, that's why their not crazy about the album, it's not the songs so much as the experience of making it
I agree, but I guess that's why they say good things are hard to find, if you ask me we're lucky to be the viewers of amazing music like this it's other people's loss our gain.
I really like this song, Our Lady Peace did a good job, the chorus is amazing, and don't forget Bob Rock, the Producer of the album, this guy is cool too
@Justin Turdeau yeah tbh there only really decent albums are there first three, and clumsy is by far there greatest album ever. But that’s just my opinion
Frank Castle exactly. Canadian content laws + uncreative, lazy have rendered them overplayed until they became an annoyance. but actually they're pretty good
Simply because the world is fucked and will never wake up. From generation to generation your same question will be asked... And forever there will be many answers to it. So let's just enjoy what we have and "try" pay it forward, otherwise, let's enjoy it now! Cheers friend!
Looks like the Holy Ghost is gone Now your afraid of yourself Over your shoulder you have to watch Heaven fall into hell Looks like your boat's about to sink So it's time to prepare Even the angels are losing sleep And the sidewalks are bare It's like the calm before the storm You better swim Just like it's cold before it's warm You'll get back here again I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait I'll wait, I'll wait 'till you fall from grace It's the calm before the storm It's there then it's gone It looks like the wall was in your head Not your heart Just when you think it's figured out Well it all falls apart It's like the calm before the storm You better swim Just like it's cold before it's warm You'll get back here again I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait I'll wait, I'll wait 'till you fall from grace It's the calm before the storm It's there then it's gone Looks like the Holy Ghost is gone Looks like the Holy Ghost is gone Looks like the walls in your head Looks like the wall was in your head Wall was in your head I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait I'll wait, I'll wait 'till you fall from grace It's the calm before the storm I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait I'll wait, I'll wait 'till you fall from grace It's the calm before the storm It's there then it's gone.
Keep the music flowing fellow 'starseeds', we have a interesting transformation to get through...and its the music that helps ease the transition. Thankyou for that. peace hope and charity
A starseed inside everyone of us, like a spark of divinity. The rejection of materialism which is the death of the soul. "the war was in your mind" "looks like the holy ghost is gone" too many people are becoming atheists and forgetting spirituality. In superman's dead, beside the obvious fall of the american empire trope, he ends with "doesnt anybody ever know that the world is a subway?" meaning theres a surface most people dont know about. In repair is about transhumanism. This band is so intelligent. Best lyrics ever.
And I wait, I waaait, I wait and I wait... I sing it errtime I hear it! One of the most beautiful chorus ever, great job and amazing video, really, that's from the heart! ...It's calm befo' the storm!
I say this as a Christian. This is the most Christian song that has ever been produced. I literally see the Lord Jesus nodding in agreement to this. if you know, you know. I love you, Lord. Thank you for the doubt.
I thought I was actually gonna find a song I didn't like from OLP, kinda threw me off with the western vibe to it but I got the method to the madness and now I love it lol good job, again guys. Jesus save some spots for the other bands on my list lol
Still loving on OLP. Been with this band since inception....worked with Raine's brothers friend when switched onto this band. Never forgot meeting Raine in downtown TO at "So Hip it hurts" and getting his autograph.....totally love his voice and music!
not by me... Its one of the best bands of all times. Ever since i listened to theiir music 21 years ago. Just awesome!!!! and this song is no less!!!!! damn right!!!
I have such a deeper appreciation for this album now than when it came out. All it took was Burn Burn and Curve to really remind us of what we had when Raine could slay that falsetto.
I first started listening to OLP in 1998-1999. I have attended 3 concerts and continue to listen to their albums still. Not sure why they were so underrated. I always thought the vocals and the music were arranged perfect.
So... with Pompeii by Bastille being my current favourite song... I'm thinking about other songs I just cannot seem to get tired of listening to. This... is pretty high up on that list.
He sang "Looks like the Holy Ghost is gone".Our perception of things are not always correct. Especially tainted by depressions or emotional turmoil, things we trial in life. Perhaps waiting till someone to fall from their grace is addressing judgmental people because their perception of reality is shaped by their experiences and until they experience a similar situation they will never understand. I guess OLP writes their songs and hopes people listening are not imbeciles.
I WILL NEVER FORGET WHEN I WAS FIRST INTRODUCED TO THESE GUYS❤ AN ILL NEVER FORGET HEARING THEM ON A LOCAL RADIO STATION GETTING SO EXCITED CRANKING THAT SHIT UP AS HIGH AS IT WOULD GO THEN SEEING BLUE LIGHTS HAHAHA WHOOPS$
An eloquently silver-tongued remark, very well put. You could be right but as an artist,I think its important not too over complicate things when it comes to writing lyrics. It's vital to broaden the content and try not illustrate an abstract general representation associated with deeper meaning. Sometimes its best for people to forge and find their own meaning behind a song in order to develop that unique connection. As it seems you have. Awesome song BTW. So underrated.
This video really looks like it was shot somewhere in the Southern Alberta prairies, I think somewhere close to the foothills. It's a nice setting/backdrop for it, I think.
I'm an imbecile and I still love listening to Our Lady Peace. I was actually declared an imbecile after my last I.Q. test where I scored just below Forrest Gump but significantly higher than George W. Bush. Yay me!
This is one of my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITES. Timeless. LOVE 😀❤🎵🙏🖖
one of the most criminally underrated and underappreciated bands ever.
2021 , and still listening to this song . but not just the song, the band STILL!!!
Discovered this band last night
@@joshplaylist7072 Enjoy my brother, there is a lot of goodness to be heard!
2023 for me, srill a band i want to see live. Im cheep and dont pay for alot of bands, including the ones for like 10 bucks at a bar.
song is near 19 years old....GREAT SONG.
Nothing like listening to Our Lady Peace and delving into the complexities of life. The holy ghost is gone and the war was in my head. Truely it was
Saw them in concert 3 times early 2000's I never understood why more people didn't love this band. By far one of the most underrated bands of our time.
Despite the fact that the band is not that crazy about the album "Healthy" this song is a VERY VERY good single!
This, will the future blame us, Apology, don't stop, Picture. Some of the best tracks along with everything pre-gravity in my opinion but the process of recording that album for them was so harrowing, that's why their not crazy about the album, it's not the songs so much as the experience of making it
healthy in paranoid times is their best album in my opinion
This should have like at least a million views imo :(
I agree, but I guess that's why they say good things are hard to find, if you ask me we're lucky to be the viewers of amazing music like this it's other people's loss our gain.
Sooo true my friend!!
Why ruin our little secret
7 Years later and I still love this song
This is still my favourite OLP song. So powerful and the emotion is so stirring.
Easily their best post Clumsy song. I first heard it on a radio station in a movie theatre.
@@bujharvard9313 what movie theatre Cineplex?
@@patrickgrondines-t2b Probably. It was 18 years ago, so I can't remember. But in Canada, there aren't many theatres that aren't Cineplex.

This is one of the songs that turns me into a superhero whenever I need a little extra strength!!!
Y'know what? Yeah! I totally see it. :)
I really like this song, Our Lady Peace did a good job, the chorus is amazing, and don't forget Bob Rock, the Producer of the album, this guy is cool too
As a Canadian living in Florida ..I so live this band shared it with all my honey's..
All of them ?
My favorite olp song without a doubt
@Justin Turdeau yeah tbh there only really decent albums are there first three, and clumsy is by far there greatest album ever. But that’s just my opinion
An amazing song!! Wish my karaoke skills could ever compare!!! It's there, then it's gone.
why is this band so underrated
People nowadays care about the popularity and the looks not with the music, that's why most of the underrated bands have great music.
because they're Canadian
Frank Castle exactly. Canadian content laws + uncreative, lazy have rendered them overplayed until they became an annoyance. but actually they're pretty good
