I love my daily used cast iron! I have sold a few …careful during packaging this…with rough housing during USPS shipping process the handles can puncture through the box…I have used pool noodles on handle and edges..arrived perfect. Good luck!
Pool noodles for knives & cleavers. I cut the box to the thickness of the noodle...nice tight packing & a write off for expense. Worth the $ as time saved & nothing cutting through the box.
First time for visiting your site. Enjoyed it immensely. I’ve worked yard sales, auctions and thrift stores for nearly 50 years. During that time I developed a total burnout. However , watching your video and listening to your thoughts about the items and the clarity of the descriptions has renewed my interest in a business I presently believed was something I seriously thought I had closed the doors on. Since finding and watching your video, I will be venturing out this coming week with a whole new plan. I made a profitable living for many years and now that I don’t have to do it, I’m looking forward to doing it again. This time however, it will be a lot more fun and I believe just as profitable if not more. So, again I thank you and I will be sharing my experiences from the past as well as the new ones. Thanks and always have a profitable day. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great find on the Griswold. I found my first one last weekend at a yard sale for $10. It is a #11 12 in skillet. It was pretty crusty. I cleaned it up and seasoned it. Listed it today for $495. One sold just like mine on April1 for $450. See what happens.
The Griswold is awesome! I own and use a Griswold 704M 8. Picked it up at a yard sale about 5 years ago for $1!!! Love it and use it too much to sell! PEACE!
One word of caution when testing electrical appiances . NEVER pull the plug out by the cord ! Grab the plug ONLY at the wall socket. Once you mess that plug up, it's ruinded. Mailinged it back to the manufacterer will cost a fortune in time and money.
Griswold's big here in the Midwest and on occasion I do get quite a small number of the pans. Bought 7 pairs of women's golf spiked sandals $20. Took a chance thought I'd ask the community for more info. As I search them. Good to see Kayla back out, shes got me buying mouse ears now, she bought 2 or 3 pair now and mine have sold. Thanks Big K, and Julian thanks, your the best. Great video .... but you do hammer yardsales more, but I watch whatever. Thanks,
that is awesome! I cant believe it took me this long to find one. Yea i like yard sale better but sometimes you gotta head to the thrift store =) I know Footjoy makes golf spike sandals - they sell good =)
Good find! We use to find quite a few Wagner Ware and Griswald small and large block letter cast iron skillets. Not so much anymore. The GW stores around where I live have raised the prices so much on so many items. I enjoy watching your videos. Blessings.
I found a #9 Griswold cast iron fry pan at our local Goodwill many years ago. One of the first items I sold on Ebay. I paid $5 and it sold for $60. I have not found one since!
Ohhh. Willow's cute. I lost both my fur babies a month and a half apart between March and May. We are going to go pick up a puppy this weekend and her name is going to be Willow also!! (All basset hounds)
I picked up almost all my cast iron at Goodwill. Works great on induction stoves. Also picked up my entire set of induction compatible stainless steel cookware. Take a magnet with you when shopping for induction cookware. Older cookware was not marked for compatibility with induction stoves.
Just a word to the wise, I dropped my Grandmothers Griswold fry pan on the floor and the handle broke off. I never knew cast iron would break like that, now I know. Great video.
Nice finds! You should be able to date the Minnie hat with the castle logo. There are different number of turrets in older vs newer logos. The Miche in the purse section is neat. They made a base purse and then there are magnetic removable covers so you can coordinate with your clothing without needing to change out to a new purse. The company no longer sells in the US. I *think* they still do in Canada. Some of the styles of the covers are more desirable.
Hey Hey 🙋♀️🙋♀️ nice find on the iron , and willow is sweet. Nice she has a awesome forever home. Stay safe and and always make it fun .. Love from Tucson Arizona 💗🦎🌵🌻🦉👩🌾🌵🦎💗
I just found a griswold 716 #10 with the heat ring yesterday at the highway 23 peachtree yard sale in SC yesterday thanks to your video. I kinda knew about griswold before but learned more thanks to your video. Mine does have a very subtle wobble. Almost not even noticeable. Paid $20 for it and tried to talk her down. She wasnt having it. Went back to the car and researched further, decided to grab it! There have been solds exactly like mine for $170+.
It was on highway 23 from modoc to batesburg I believe. 44 miles long! Im in augusta and started in modoc. Only went about halfway. There were tons of sales. I believe its a yearly thing. Definately going back next year.
As as (litterally) Goodwill consumer (excuse me, my wife I'd the consumer), ok now that said, you have to understand a couple of things. #1 if your looking for everyday (usable items), it's basically (as the old sayong goes) a catch as catch can....... ie, you get what you pay for. #2 there is a huge difference in each Goodwill store regarding quality & pricing. As there are no true certified individuals pricing items and many are priced according to how good they look to the individual pricing them - no one looks them over to see if they even work!!! Each store is its own entity. #3 you have to know where the store is receiving the material they are reselling!!! This is huge!!! If you are shopping at a Goodwill store that is in the middle income neighborhood, then that's the kind of "donated" products you are going to be repurchasing - some good, some so-so. #4 if your store is in an upper class neighborhood, well those are the individuals who are donating their unwanted items and you have a much better opportunity of re-purchasing fairly decent items. #5 Where you truly get your "Good buys" from Goodwill is in the clothing - wearable items!!!!!!! Everything else is honestly a toss-up. #6 My wife has (quite often) found items with the tags still on the clothing and she had found items (again, with the tags still on them) ie un-worn!!! These items have been priced for $5 - 15 and yet the tags show the initial purchase price from quality retailers from $50 - 200!!! This is unbelievable, but again, you have to know what neigjborhood where they are being donated from..... She has found clothing items as high as $300 - 400, for under $20!!! #7 When purchasing any item from Goodwill you have to look them over for defects in workmanship and wearability (ie the ones without the store tags, how worn they look around the neck, under arms, cuffs, etc)! #8 You have to understand that you are not normally purchasing new products and you have to look the item over and decide "is this worth spending hard earned cash on them.... As she explains it, I just worked ......hours, to buy this product....... #9 Thrift stores can actually be an excellent place to build up an exceptional wardrobe - but you have to be aware of what your re-purchasing, etc, etc, etc. #10 If you purchase an item and find that you did not (in your opinion) get your money's worth, it 95% of the time (my opinion) it's the consumers fault..... #11 I have been greatly surprised at the number of clothing, shoes, etc, who purchase from Goodwill and resell them and actually make a very decent income from used Goodwill products. #12 Another area to consider is items like China, often times she finds China that at Goodwill where she pays $4 -15 and then can resell them on ebay and like sites for $35 - 80...... It's really crazy at times. So whatever you purchase be a smart buyer and know what you are doing/purchasing.......
At least they are realistic about profits. They do stuff faster than I can but good honest information. Smaller, lighter stuff... inexpensive, easy to ship & lot it up or donate if it doesn't sell.
over the years Ive saved so much money on goodwill and other rhrift stores and yard sales. and Ive made a lot of money not a fortune, but significant help .....

Sometimes you can find nice stuff cheap in thrift stores. When my NEW iron stopped working after only about 3 months, l went to a thrift store in my neiborhood, ( Oxon Hill Md, ), and saw a used one, ( General Electric ), in VERY good condition. The only thing it needed was another cord. I took it home, found an old lamp in the basement and used that cord. The iron worked perfectly for THREE years ! 😂
Jullian, the Griswold cast iron pan was a super find. These were made in my hometown of Erie, Pa., and are very collectible and will last forever. My father had a huge pan, maybe 18 inches. We used to joke that we could go sledding in it. Someday I will catch you at our local Goodwill or the Salvation Army. Weak sign-off there. "I will always catch YOU on the next one." You know I have to watch to the end to catch that manly sometimes fist-pounding sign -off.
I have cleaned tons of griswold (I live in Erie … find it a lot) electrolytically clean it… you will double the money you get out of it ..and it’s super easy! Watch a RUclips video on it… lol
The earliest Griswold pans are just marked "erie" and are worth a lot. After that, they are marked "griswold's". Also valuable and the thrift stores don't know stuff like this
Welcome Willow! Still miss seeing Binko. Glad that you both (BTM and Kayla) are feeling better. I hope to see more of Kayla in your yard sales videos! I picked up a Sunbeam Mix Master (almond color) set for $3 yesterday. Not sure if I should part it out or sell it as complete set. Good Luck!
Take a sm tape measure with you when shopping. Some are round about 2" across& retractable. Otherwise a seamstress cloth measuring tape something you can carry in your pocket
You went past a $70 tangerine Blenko Glass pitcher at 5:58. It is a collector's item. Maybe you could start studying pottery and glassware in the future, as lots of treasures are found at Goodwill. Nice video.
I came here to say the same thing. I was saying Blenko, Blenko, Blenko at the screen even though I knew you couldn't hear me. 😆 I found the same water bottle at a thrift store for $7!
Congrats on your Finds I love the aflec ducks I seriously didn’t know they were worth that much and I left a 22” at store. Have so much my own stuff I’m selling I really don’t get out much. Best Wishes and Stay Safe!
Willow is so adorable gotta run to mow my moms 20 acre pasture stay safe in this crazy world. Watch a lot of your videos just don’t leave messages yet share them and watch ads so you get what you deserve for Ive learned a few tricks from you two
Hey I follow you guys and realized today from the video that ya'll are in Myrtle Beach! I live here too and if I see you guys I will come and say hello. Thanks for the information on Griswold, a nice find for sure.
I love Willow thank you for introducing her to us. Wagner is another good cast iron brand it's not as good as griswold so you did excellent there congratulations
Hey I’m a new Sub Kevin Gave you a shout out-Say hi to your wife from one Reseller to another. I actually had the entire set of Griswold of cast iron from my ex mother in law -I gave them to my daughter and unfortunately she lost her storage unit up in Asheville NC I’m disappointed about her class ring that was specifically made for her and had her name in gold inside the stone. That was sad 💜🇺🇸🙏
Welcome aboard!!! Im sorry to hear about that class ring. Ill have to tell Kevin thank you for giving me a shout out =) thanks again for watching and giving the channel a chance =)
It's actually Kayla and I... Lady's first brother.. Totally like what you do here... I do volunteer work at a thrift store just down the street from my house... I know they trash stuff that's good cuz we don't have room to store Very much stuff... Wish I knew what you do about this stuff... I'm going to keep watching you so I can learn more... So glad I found your RUclips channel... Stay safe and enjoy brother... You're making a impact on us all... Thanks 👍😎. Don't forget the sunscreen.....😂🤣🤕
Omg I work at a shipping company and watch this every morning beofe work you shocked me you look like one of my managers you also rock the beard I subscribed hi from texas.
Hi! I just found your channel and I was wondering if you ever go to the flea market in NMB/Little River area. My in-laws live near there and we've visited for the past 25+ years but I've just started reselling within the past year. Just wanted your take on if it's worth it to visit next time we're up visiting. Fingers crossed that you continue to find lots of hidden treasures 😊
Goodwill want brand new prices for their items now. I have stop going in there. Seem like they hire the same guy when they try to get more money for the items that's been donated. This hurt people like me who is on a fixed income. Its sad that you can't afford to go to thrift stores no more. Seems like they are for profit stores instead of being in the business of helping people. I used to work for them in the early 90's when my mom was sick in Mississippi. My job was to teach Vulnerable Adults a job skills so they can live independently.
“Show me!”, “Creepy little lamp” 😂🤣 Not going to lie, I snorted. 💔 Damn it, I didn’t realize you lost Biko. I’m so behind. *sigh* I’m so sorry for your loss. Hugs to you and Kayla. Ugh
$184 minus 30% Federal Income Tax ,because I'm sure you claim every nickel as income. That comes to $128.80, that's $16.10 and hour.About the same you would make working at a fast food restaurant.
"Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me." Love it!
I love my daily used cast iron! I have sold a few …careful during packaging this…with rough housing during USPS shipping process the handles can puncture through the box…I have used pool noodles on handle and edges..arrived perfect. Good luck!
Good to know! that is awesome idea!

WOW!!! thats awesome! I just watched a youtube video on seasoning cast iron - very interesting stuff - i hope it sells fast =)
Ya Griswald is hot
I collect and restore cast iron and that's a beautiful cast iron pan! Lucky you!!!:)🌱
Congrats on your new fur baby. She’s a beautiful dog and seems so laid back. She will bring you guys lots of enjoyment and love.
=) she is great =)
The Griswold is awesome! I own and use a Griswold 704M 8. Picked it up at a yard sale about 5 years ago for $1!!! Love it and use it too much to sell! PEACE!
Wow!!! cant beat a $1!!!!!!
Nice find on the Griswold. Don't worry about cleaning it. Sell it as is. Congrats on the new fur baby.
thank you =)

When my grandparents passed away, I found a Griswold brand new still in the original box!!. Still have to do my research on it.
im sorry for your loss =( that is insane about the new in box!!!
Someone messed up and let that get by them when they were sorting, as all the good items get posted online to be auctioned. Great catch!
aint that the truth
Dude I found the 9" Griswold at my Goodwill last Wednesday. It was in rough shape so I listed it for $49.99, it sold in an hour!
Daaang!!!! Thats funny though we seem to find the same stuff!! Killer find and flip! I was excited to see it 😀
I’m a cook and if I saw a Griswald at a goodwill I’d jump for joy! Amazing !!!!
The lids for those Griswold pans can sell for as much as the pans!!
That will be my next bucket list item :)
I don’t think you want to make the Griswold shiny like chrome. I think you would lose the seasoning. Food would stick to it.
i thought so too lol
Scammers don’t care about seasoning.
Good find! We use to find quite a few Wagner Ware and Griswald small and large block letter cast iron skillets. Not so much anymore. The GW stores around where I live have raised the prices so much on so many items. I enjoy watching your videos. Blessings.
Thank you! Yea I've never found one before or even seen one
I found a #9 Griswold cast iron fry pan at our local Goodwill many years ago. One of the first items I sold on Ebay. I paid $5 and it sold for $60. I have not found one since!
Nice!!! yea I dont know if ill ever find another one lOL
I have a maltese now and love him greatly (Henry). I have always wanted a bull terrier and you sure got you a great looking dog. 👍
=) Tell Henry hi!!! thank you
I’ve missed the Goodwill videos. Glad to see one!
:) 😀 yea I missed being in there I have another one coming out Sunday 😀
Ohhh. Willow's cute. I lost both my fur babies a month and a half apart between March and May. We are going to go pick up a puppy this weekend and her name is going to be Willow also!! (All basset hounds)

Congrats on the newest member of your family!!! Look forward to seeing Willow in future videos!🐶💜
Ohh yea just filmed one today and she make an appearance LOL
I run into the Vizio surround sound all the time. They are a dime a dozen here in Minnesota Goodwill.
6:15 there was a blenko amberina water pitcher ruby. They could go for good money 😉

I knew What you Found when you picked it up !! GREAT FIND !! I think 🤔 you can get More than your think as far as Frying Pan.
i couldnt believe it! =) never even seen one in the wild
I used to have a 5" Griswold , all black. People went Nuts for it.
That’s the cleanest looking Goodwill that I’ve ever seen….not junked up and overcrowded shelves either.
They do a really good job around here in the goodwills
@@beardedthriftmachine The aisles are closer together and stuff seems to be heaped up on the shelves.
I picked up almost all my cast iron at Goodwill. Works great on induction stoves. Also picked up my entire set of induction compatible stainless steel cookware. Take a magnet with you when shopping for induction cookware. Older cookware was not marked for compatibility with induction stoves.

Sorry to hear that! and that you for that info!
That has happened to me before. My mom's cast iron probably about 40years old. I bought an exact replacement but she wanted her 'memories'.
Nice finds! You should be able to date the Minnie hat with the castle logo. There are different number of turrets in older vs newer logos.

Hey Hey 🙋♀️🙋♀️ nice find on the iron , and willow is sweet. Nice she has a awesome forever home. Stay safe and and always make it fun .. Love from Tucson Arizona 💗🦎🌵🌻🦉👩🌾🌵🦎💗

#9 Thrift stores can actually be an excellent place to build up an exceptional wardrobe - but you have to be aware of what your re-purchasing, etc, etc, etc.

I know right!!! I couldnt believe it!!! First time ever finding one! =)
You can always spray pan with vinegar it works amazing. Just let it sit for half hour. 50% water 50% vinegar.
thank you for that info =)
I’ve never even seen a Griswold in the wild!
me either!!! I literally couldn't believe it! =)
They seem to be rare.
You went past a $70 tangerine Blenko Glass pitcher at 5:58. It is a collector's item. Maybe you could start studying pottery and glassware in the future, as lots of treasures are found at Goodwill.
Nice video.
Thank you so much for that info!!! I'll have to go back and take a look
I came here to say the same thing. I was saying Blenko, Blenko, Blenko at the screen even though I knew you couldn't hear me. 😆 I found the same water bottle at a thrift store for $7!

Ill have to tell Kevin thank you for giving me a shout out =)
thanks again for watching and giving the channel a chance =)
I sold three of those large aflac ducks. I paid a dollar for each and sold them all for between 75-80$ each.

Yes I have a little - i got a really really good deal on alot of golf clubs one time at the NMB one =) so it is hit and miss
Make sure you are looking up slant logo griswolds.
yea someone else just told me that - ill have to look that logo up thank you
so sorry about Bleeko.. i must have missed that... but willow is adorable
thank you =)
Goodwill want brand new prices for their items now.
That rim around the bottom makes the Griswold more valuable.
yea i researched them and that is a big deal on those
@@beardedthriftmachine Yep. It can double the value. they're pretty rare.
Be careful with the Aflac ducks, there is a recall on one of them.
Lead buttons! =)
I have that exact Minnie hat hopefully it sells for you 😊
=) i hope so =)
Slim pickings today, but you still found a treasure!
yea i was getting nervous! lol
I have a bunch, and the corn bread cast irons also.
THANKS SO MUCH FOR WATCHING!!
“Show me!”, “Creepy little lamp” 😂🤣 Not going to lie, I snorted.
💔 Damn it, I didn’t realize you lost Biko. I’m so behind. *sigh* I’m so sorry for your loss. Hugs to you and Kayla. Ugh
LOL =) thank you =( we miss him everyday but he wasnt doing too well at the end
$184 minus 30% Federal Income Tax ,because I'm sure you claim every nickel as income. That comes to $128.80, that's $16.10 and hour.About the same you would make working at a fast food restaurant.
Yea but if I work at a job I have a boss. Not having one.... priceless. 😀😃🙂🙃 lol 🤣
Not having health insurance...priceless.
@@wolfgangweimer737 you must not know how the market place works for insurance 🙄 😑 😒 🤣
@@beardedthriftmachine How can yogurt reasonably priced insurance?
Oops How can you get reasonable insurance, my dtr really needs to get some?
I LOVE GOODWILL shopping. This might just b a potential way for me to make a little bit of $ on side doing something i love doing!
