Buddhism has just recently captivated me. I was born into a Catholic family, and I respect my parents for being so strong to their faith, but I don't think it's the path for me. The Buddha's teachings held my attention instantly, it's how I've felt in my heart all along. I am a very deep thinker and always trying to better myself and spread happiness. I never knew there was actually a religion like that.

How does your "translation" make sense when the last two lines of the mantra are the two names of the medicine buddha's two attendants? Tayata means gone beyond samsara and nirvana. Bhekandze is the pali refetence to the medicine buddha, so its invoking him twice and then a third time by the use of maha which means greatness. So the whole mantra means; Gone beyond oh auspecious one, medicine master buddha, medicine master buddha, your greatness medicine master buddha, with perectly liberated and awakened as your attendants, desolve into me. This means to make the medicine buddha and yourself equal and one and the same.
For lives to come, may Buddha be my only guide! I long to see the Buddha as a lost child longs to meet his mother! May my wish to be born among the Buddha be fulfilled!
In the past I was mentally very depressed. I was on the verge of suicide, Out of misery and hope, I recited this Tathagatha's name with a sincere mind. Slowly and steadily by the power of the past vows of Medicine Buddha, I was guided to the nectar of true dhamma which eradicated by afflictions and showed me the way to magga-phala and nibbana in this present life and also guided me to the practice of be born in purelands.
