Cedar Fair: We're re-imagining Top Thrill Dragster. Fans: Nooo! How can this get any worse? Cedar Fair/Six Flags: We're destroying Kingda Ka. Fans: FUUUUUU!!!!!
This is going to sound cruel and insane to think about. But what if the intention is to blow up Kingda Ka with dynamite and the structure falls on El Toro. That will give Cedar Fair the excuse to remove that as well. Because let’s face it EL TORO’S DAYS ARE ALREADY NUMBERED. It’s had multiple incidents with injuries, they make the new track in house, and it’s a Intamin built by RMC, Cedar Fair’s 2 most hated companies. If Richard Zimmerman is truly going to change this park forever then having Kingda Ka get blown up and have it fall on El Toro will change everything!
If I recall correctly, the reason that Six Flags closed Ka before Holiday in The Park was due to a structural issue with Zumanjaro. The state would not allow Ka to operate any longer with this structural issue on Zumanjaro (even though they are separate attractions). Since the park was not willing to pay to fix this as well as Lex Luthor already being re-advertised as the tallest drop tower in the world, I doubt Zumie is coming back.
Any chance that Six Flags could sell kingda ka and zumanjaro to another park? I'm sure it would have to be on another continent so it doesn't compete. But, if a park had the expertise and funds to maintain, they would probably buy new?
Zuminjaro was an AWESOME drop tower and it really never got a line... Well only in 2024. It would get like a 0-30 minute wait in 2023 and all of the years before. In 2018, I waited 45 minutes for it.
I read somewhere that a clarification was made by the park and that Zumanjaro is also being removed. Take it with a grain of salt but it’s not surprising.
One of the other vlog sites asked for clarification, they responded that Zumanjaro was indeed also being removed. This was the day after the announcement.
I know people will call me crazy but I still don't believe Ka is coming down. The way Six Flags worded everything was weird, almost like they themselves didn't even know what was happening. The cost to take this thing down alone makes me skeptical they wouldn't try and reuse the tower. Also no demo permits have been filed yet which while it can be tossed up to the last minute nature of this, makes me second guess the common consensus which is that the tower is coming down. Call me crazy all you want but until that tower comes down I'm not throwing away the possibility of Intamin coming in and reusing the tower to make what would basically be Ka 2.0. Won't be surprised if I'm wrong but I think everyone has jumped the gun.
Honestly, I dont understand why they cant keep it and just move it to a different part of the park. It would be a shame to lose 2 record breaking coasters at the same time.
Zumanjaro could be saved, and even kept at Great Adventure if the rumors of the "tower coaster" are true. Sure, it would probably only be like 1 or 2 of the sides with drop towers, but it would be possible. Also, Red Force was originally planned to already have drop towers on the structure, but they have (I think) 2 (I think S&S) drop towers by Red Force.
The state let them dual operate over the past couple years. I don't see Zumanjaro getting attached to Top Thrill 2, when it was installed on KA, additional supports for KA's tower had to be installed to strengthen it. To add similar supports to Top Thrill 2 would cause the walkways around it to close, cutting off access to entire sections of the park. Also pretty sure they are going to demolish KA the same way they demolish the parachutes, by blowing the supports and dropping it into the parking lot.
Ive come to the reality of Kingda ka and Zumanjaro being totally taken out. BUT! In the initial press release it said that Kingda ka was being "retired" and green lantern "removed" With NO MENTION OF ZUMANJARO!. (Yes some weirdos messaged guest relations for an answer, but those people don't know a damn thing). I don't think that tzumanjaro something you "forget" to list on closures.. Until I see Kas tower coming down or new plans released for the new ride, I think its safe to say that they will have a multi record breaking launch coaster using kas tower.
I don’t think putting it on top thrill 2 is as much of a stretch as you’re saying… dragster is taller than zumanjaro, and they could easily put it on the opposite side of the structure and add supports if they wanted to do that … I think it’s either going to stay where it is or be gone forever though. It’s on far less than half of kingda ka, and if they’re truly removing ka and building something else big there I’d say they’re most likely going to incorporate the existing support structure. It would be interesting if they actually used all of the existing supports and added more to create the first t rex
I think the best way to save it is to relocate it to Six Flags Magic Mountain and have it be used for spare parts for Lex Luthor Drop of Doom. It's all the same parts and same model anyway. As for SFGA, their new launch coaster could feature a new top hat, and a new drop tower could be built in there. That's just my thought.
I was hoping the next coaster could reuse a lot of the supports from Ka. It could possibly even go over the top too with either a swing launch or some crazy multi-launch scheme to reach 120mph. It could also just go up to like 103 mph and go 3/4 of the way up and do an outer-banked hammer head turn out the back of it the structure. I don't know why more coaster try to re-use the supports and footers like RMC does with wood, they're already there, modification adapter supports can be added on to them to fit the new track.
Great adventure said kingda ka is not being reimagined and will be completely new coaster. Technically, they never confirmed that the tower structure will be removed and a new coaster can still utilize the structure. Maybe it can be saved but it’s unlikely.
Cedar Point has no business with Zumanjaro period. Kingda Ka shouldn’t even be getting removed its so obvious Cedar Fair (fake six flags) is so jealous of Six Flags Great Adventure thats why they’re trying to destroy it. (Anyone who disagrees is a cedar point fanboy/ executive thats still mad about the coaster wars from 2005). This Zimmerman guy needs to get his teeth🦵in.
They couldn’t just space out the closing of the rides because first of all Green Lanterns plot is most likely going to be part of the new coaster in some way. Twister is the last of its kind and was on its last legs. Maybe they could’ve kept it going but I don’t think twister is popular enough to warrant that going by their view. Parachutes has been closed since 2022. Skyway has been closed all year and would need heavy refurbishment. Remember there’s 2 cable lines so it’s probably more work to do. But I think this one they should’ve tried to fix.
Why not use the steel and structure from KA to create new tower, triangle shape. Similar to the back spike of dragster. Mount the zoom there.. Locate it in the back of the park near Nitro. The main reason I can see that zoom doesn't get a line is its a long walk to to and from the ride.. I fear the same fate for Lex as SFMM. I hope they keep the tower or build a new one as Superman is not going to reopen.
I realize it will never happen but it would be nice to send Zumanjaro to CP..Put it on TT2 that way they can remove power tower and corkscrew for a new attraction
Honestly Zumanjaro deserves to close down forever. It wasn’t a good ride in the first place, and I’ll be completely fine when they scrap the ride. This park deserves better than a shitty pointless drop tower. Kingda Ka I can see get rebuilt by Intamin after the OG gets completely knocked down first!
Why are people so angry about an oversized hill? I known its record breaking but like thats all it is its tall and fast and doesn’t do literally anything else
It's less about the ride experience and more about it's legacy - Record Holder for the Tallest and Fastest for years. - Literally one of if not the most iconic roller coasters in history. Even normal people who aren't coaster enthusiasts know what Kingda Ka is. - The Coaster that ended The Coaster Wars, a multi decade fight againsts parks to build the biggest, craziest coasters in order to compete, sparking major innovation in coaster and theme park technology. -Many people's reason for becoming coaster enthusiasts. - Nothing of its scale has been built for the past 20 years. - Even at it's closure, it still held the record for tallest coaster in operation. Yes it's technically just a hill, but it doesn't play down what that ride meant to people.

Zumanjaro was more of a maintenance headache than kingda ka

It was already a reason it closed; they found a structural thing in it they would have had to fix for ka to open next year.
The opening by using that one scene from Step Brothers is gold 🤣

9:39 tbh it’s not that much shorter than Lex Luthor, if I’m not mistaken it’s only a few meters shorter.
It amazes me they actually took Kingda Ka down out of the blue.
I never thought they could hate money this much.
My dad (who knows iron workers who build ka) said that one of his friends posted that they might keep some of ka up for the next addition

honestly never liked drop rides but zumanjaro was one of my favorite rides ever its so good.
SMALL CORRECTION: KINGDA KA AND ZUMANJARO DID DUEL THE LAST FEW YEARS
I read somewhere that a clarification was made by the park and that Zumanjaro is also being removed. Take it with a grain of salt but it’s not surprising.

It’s like a band aid, they were all doomed so better to rip it off then to slowly pull on the hairs

Now Great Adventure is going to need some drop tower ride in the near future

this is cedar flags fault honestly, they’ve destroyed their own park so terribly there’s no benefit from this
Great adventure said kingda ka is not being reimagined and will be completely new coaster. Technically, they never confirmed that the tower structure will be removed and a new coaster can still utilize the structure. Maybe it can be saved but it’s unlikely.

Actually, they were allowed to operate together for about 2 years.
I remember the days when ElToro was smoother than Nitro. Now it is too rough for me. Especially the horrible restraints and trains
The Step Brothers clip lol
Zumanjaro is likely getting removed as well since it is on the structure of Kingda Ka.
Unfortunately just like Kingda Ka, zumanjaro is also going, so no, zumanjaro is not staying.
cedar point should adopt this poor homeless ride before it gets thrown away
They’ve got Top Thrill 2 to put it on
Not sure if TT2 is tall enough to fit it but it could happen
They are closing lex Luther drop of doom aswell so I think six flags is done with giga/strata drop towers
A compressed air launch ride like Power Tower is not the same thing as a gravity free fall. Gravity free fall is 💯 more intense.
Time to move on to depression and acceptance. Season Passes are on sale now!
I wanted to ride zumanjaro but it was always closed when I went 😢
Great adventure should get a 400ft S&S drop tower to replace zoomenjaro
They could attach it to a skyscraper.
Imagine the noise complaints when people drop by every 4 min.
@@GreatAmericanCoaster LOL - It would work best as an unoccupied building... surrounded by traffic that doesn't mind falling phones.

The only thing i could think of is they put the zoomamjaro,s on the back off tt2,s spike

I realize it will never happen but it would be nice to send Zumanjaro to CP..Put it on TT2 that way they can remove power tower and corkscrew for a new attraction
If cedar point took it and attached it to TT2 then they could remove corkscrew and power tower for something new I guess
They already announced the drop towers are getting destroyed they just forgot to include it in the announcement
Trust zumanjaro will be relocated on to falcons flight
The could attach it to the Strat at Las Vegas.
Keep Kingda Ka. Build new launch coaster somewhere else in the park.
They will buy the drop tower that Orlando Florida took down.
That intro was too much LOL sad but true
What about if they relocated it to falcons flights airtime hill as six flags will own that park

Why would they rebuild a discontinued ride model?
@@grandjohn They would rebuild it with an LSM launch system instead of a hydraulic launch system and maybe add a spike!
@@time4coasters I mean they did make red force, it might happen someday. Not anytime soon though.
@ Maybe Intamin will RMC Kingda Ka
IM NOT BUYING A GA SEASON PASS FOR FIRST TIME IN TWO DECADES IN 2025. I GO EVERY WEEKEND TO RIDE KINGDA KA. and maybe get on nitro and devil.
Maybe falcon’s flight
This structure is done
Would Zoomajro even fit? Ka is 40 feet taller than top thrill 2
they would have to modify it

Yes it's a hill but what an amazing hill the thrill of this ride was awesome, when it worked
Who cares? If Ka is gone, this is pointless. You can build another drop ride anywhere.
