I like that Jesse admittedly doesn't know everything about firearms and he is sort of learning in the shop IRL versus Caleb probably doesn't have as much time to spend in game because he's working with guns all the time but they are united through the respect of firearms and Escape From Tarkov
the only issue i have with Tarkov is the 5.45 AK's... why do they have to extreme recoil in the game when a real ak-74 in general dosen't have much at all.
The only real thing tarkov doesn't get right is the recoil on the m4 and hk unmodded even full auto the recoil isn't hard to control Irl not to even mention single fire a 10 yr old wouldn't have a problem
It interesting how tarkov has influenced gun owners and airsoft players. I've noticed that the AK atform in both areas has seen increased popularity as well as increased use of proper and more fitting attachments. More zenitco, more tasteful choices of accessories and optics. I took my airsoft 104 clone to a game and a kid came up and said that's like a gun from Tarkov. 😆

Caleb, you should try playing squad sometime. Its very realistic as far as the guns. Its not centered around the guns like tarkov, but its very detailed and realistic full scale team oriented warfare thats a little more accessible than something like ArmA. You may like it if you have a military background.
Cool to see this crossover. I bought an slr106f because it was my favorite gun in tarkov. Its my only tacticool gun because I have boomer tastes. 😂 When will you guys start making the xm177 again, i need one.
Just a pet peeve but I hate when people say "high capacity mags" because most people don't realize that a NATO STANAG(standardized agreement) capacity is 30 rounds. Meaning that the standard capacity for an AR/M4 pattern rifle is 30 rounds.
He's not talking about the 30 rounders. He's talking about things like the Surefire 60 rounders, the Magpul D-60 and the various drums for the RPK-16 and other AKs. The metagame for the longest time in Tarkov has been to run those over the traditional STANAGs.
I remember picking up an HK416 in tarkov I didn't know about the parts not being interchangeable with AR/M4 I wasted a lot of money on those attachments. Games and youtube have been that kickstart for me when learning guns , optics etc
They should have addressed the recoil of the hk416, in Tarkov it has super low recoil but in real life it’s known for being over gassed for reliability
@@Josh-mk7ok its not even an AR, due to different operating system. Its main purpose is using AR ergonomics, while running more reliable, especially with short barrels and/or suppressors
Hey, I have a question. Is the HK 416 just as uncontrollable with a shorter barrel compared to the m4 in real life? The HK has been my go to weapon for over 5 wipes and especially with the latest 2 I feel like I'm forced to run the 20inch barrel more and more because of recoil. With the m4 however Ive been running shorter barrels lately because the recoil change isn't as much with a barrel swap and the ergo is worth far more to me. I just don't understand why the 416 gets such a huge bump in recoil changing the 20 inch barrel to a 16.5 or smaller. Would you mind explaining?
Your recoil impulse is going to be noticeably different on either platform since hk is a short stroke gas piston system vs an m4 pattern which uses direct gas impingement. Properly gassed DI guns will have a much more pleasant felt recoil and controllability especially when you start increasing your barrel lengths and using longer gas systems i.e mid length and rifle length systems.
The HK 4116 still runs the 5.56mm/223 round. And THAT round is very dependent on Velocity, which is aided by Barrel Length. So a Short Barrel on an M4 is just as anemic as it is on the HK 416.
Depends on the ammo you're using and the purpose. 77gr SMK for example will fragment out to almost 300 yards from some short barrels. That's plenty of distance to work with for most carbine applications.
And a long barrel HK or m4 is inferior in every situation except long range where velocity is most needed. If you are in an urban environment you dont need an 18" barrel to clear a house regardless of the caliber
Awesome idea for this channel. I hope you can open up a whole new market with the "gamer" types that have fallen in love with the hobby through these new games. "Thank you for contacting Brownells, Inc. We have received your correspondence but due to current high volumes, we are several days behind in answering emails" From Brownells, yesterday.
Can someone with real firearm experience answer me a question; does the type of stock you use affect the controllability of your weapon as much as it does in tarkov? To me, it seems ridiculous that it does as much as it does, should it not be purely an ergonomics thing?
Somewhat, but not nearly as extreme as Tarkov depending on the stock. For example upgrading from the standard AK skeleton folder to something like the PT-1 will make a huge difference. On the flip side, upgrading from the standard M4 stock to the Magpul MOE will be noticeable, but not that noticeable and do nothing for recoil IRL.
@@TheSundayShooter most of the change from the HK 416 for CAG was related to supply issues. The 416 is a great platform but you give up tons of modularity to use it. They're also using "Block 3" rifles these days, not Mk. 1s
