I've followed your videos religiously and I think this channel is a wonderful service to us and our community. I think time constraint is a very interesting idea to actually get work done for people like me. I feel like I have a lot of knowledge from years of watching music content but putting that knowledge into practice and finishing tracks takes me so much unnecessary time
Ignore the haters. The real value in this is that you inspired me (and probably others) to sit down and make another track today with a couple of spare hours I have this afternoon. Producing doesn’t always need to be an all day affair. Thanks Chris.
Man because of you man! I love modulations so much, something which seemed so intimitading changed into something being so much fun and also serves as a coping mechanism these days. Gives me so much solace.
This was so much fun. I listened while I did my daily run and this track ran right along with me. Your enthusiasm and passion never get old, brother. Thanks 🙏🏽
Thank you Chris, this was fun. Its always good to experiment with new approaches because this is where we can learn about our weaknesses and grow new strengths. Thank you 😊
This was a fun concept and an enjoyable execution. It's always nice to see what happens with setting up constraints like this. A random thought that occurs to me would be that a fun constraint for some videos would be that you have to make a full track using only 1 synth. Maybe not with the same time constraint, or if you're feeling extra intense keep the ticking clock. And if you like it (and get views) there are a lot of synths to choose from for more videos in this "series" concept.
Awesome against the clock challenge! I got excited watching how far you could go! We'll give you a pass on the extra...what...10 seconds (?) to dial in Harmony Bloom. On review, the judges have decided that the Pigments load "delay of game" infraction should have reset the game clock by 10 seconds, in your favor. ;) Well done, as always!
@@maw0380constructive criticism of a 20 min song creation? This isn’t a finished work. If S1gns released it like that then sure, but this was a fun against the clock effort. Chill 😂
Awesome mate love your work and enthusiasm. I'm using pigments pretty regularly, and have learnt a ton about modulation and creating ever expanding and moving sounds from you. I'm wondering about other synths that you've used on your channel.. hive, omnisphere, serum etc. In terms of sound design capability is there really a benefit for me to spend another $100-200$ on another synth? Thanks again
Track in 20 minutes is good, but why you, as an artist, repeat the same patterns? I think the highest goal of art is to invent something new and creation of original exclusive forms.
@@phantomcube it was an experiment in FUN. You should lighten up, pal. Chris showed us that sometimes you're most creative when you just start throwin' down! Also, you can see it wasn't a finished product, but rather a very good launching point for serious investment afterward.

I always love watching your videos, Chris. Genuine, playful, enthusiastic. Keys to life, brother!
I love your energy in these videos. Keep up the good work! And yes, creating ambient music is fun!

The kick is more distraction than something interesting. I would just drop it because everything else is wicked.
Well you do that on your own channel then…
@@Yeastextractever heard of constructive feedback? By the way, I didn't like the kick either.
@@Yeastextract I too found the Kick to be to knocking.. where if it was a deeper thud like a deep pulse it will sit better in the mix

Can never go wrong with Phaseplant.
Nice very nice 👏🏼👏🏼🎚🎹🌌👽
Nice . Is it possible to make money from ambient music? Thanks
Of course it is! You just have to put time and energy into it and provide a product that people want.

Great! Do you do that through district kid, or bandcamp? Or something else? Thanks
Can't go wrong with bandcamp. Distrokid is one of the best out there for digital distribution. Best of luck!

You can't really be creative and experiment with a time constraint, he did that with his latest works though
@@symeondimakis366 so there is no need to rush. This is not a sport.
