I love this foundation. But you’re definitely correct in the statement that it’s for a certain skin type. I only use 4 drops for my entire face, and because it’s oily it spreads easily and covers everything. I think if you use too much, because honestly 4 drops doesn’t seem to be enough, it will look like you’re wearing a skin treatment and be too much. I tap a luminous loose powder over my T-zone, but just a very light dusting. If you have oily skin already, or use companion products that don’t mix well (mattes or full coverage powders are gross with this) you will not get the desired result. I have very dry skin, so my face adores this stuff. If you like the Georgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation, and prime with a lot of hydration, you’ll probably like this. But it’s definitely a product that really performs it’s best with a very specific type of skin. It won’t cover moderate skin imperfections, it is not it’s best being heavily built up, and it won’t dry down. If you want a super hydrated look this is it, but if you have to build your coverage this will fall on its face. It’s so much better in a thin layer on top of skin that is already pretty flawless without any makeup & doesn’t need a lot of balancing of texture, tone, or coverage. Amazing for people who live in a warmer climate, assuming all the above also fits your needs. If you want matte coverage this is NOT what you’re looking for. It’s important to know this stuff before dropping $68 on this purchase.
I love how you look in the lighter shade. Your skin looks fantastic. So fresh and young. The natural color of your face is just beautiful the way it is. I know we are all challenged by the fact that we wear a lot of sunscreen on the face and it’s lighter than our bodies in summer. But I stick with lighter on my face and just balance with bronzer to selectively warm up. Beautiful!
Another great down to earth review 🌹👍🏽. I really think you are one of the best makeup reviewers … I have come to look for your reviews on items I am considering…
Hello I’m from Vegas and somewhat new to the You Tube world. I just watched this and your answer questions video from 2019. Absolutely love your energy. You are authentic and powerful. Thank you for sharing your world and love of beauty. Being a small town girl myself (originally from Idaho) I feel a bit of kinship with a lot of your outlooks on life. You have truly helped me on my journey back to wearing makeup. I’ll be turning 60(EEK) later this year and realized my skin has changed significantly in the past 2 yrs. Time catches us all. You have really helped. Thank you again❤️🤗
Hi Tara! Thank you so much for this very informative review! I just wanted to mention that I watched a Gucci Westman video on this product and she suggests starting with just 3 drops of the skin tint for your entire face and then go in with just a little bit more product over the areas where you want more coverage (she just used her finger to lightly tap!). And if you want even more coverage, you can go in with the stick foundation where you want it. Maybe it’ll wear and feel better if you tried it that way? Anyways, love your reviews and adore you!
It definitely wears better with less product. On the side that I used Concealer to build up coverage and went over top with the skin tint, I used the smallest amount. Not even a large drop. It wore better for sure, but the sticky feeling still remained on that side. I definitely agree less is more with this one, but, those who want that hydration will really enjoy it, and those who don't, won't😁 I'm one that cannot stand my hair sticking to my face. I need something less hydrating. However, I'm excited to try it again in the winter 😁❤️ Thanks for commenting, I agree completely 🙌💋 have a great weekend❤️❤️
Yes! Similar to the Surratt and the Rituel de Fille…that’s precisely why they’re all referred to specifically as “drops.” It’s ideal for those who want to use it that way and are going for that experience. That’s me. I’m 43, I’ve taken excellent care with my skin, and water tint/drops are my perfect finish. 🙌🏼
Thanks for the review. Perhaps it would work better if you used a smaller amount? I see Westman herself use about 4 drops for the whole face. It probably work better when you’re aiming for the more «natural» no-make up look.
Totally agree. The side where I built up the coverage didn't look great. The side where I used Concealer for the coverage and only a tiny bit over top, looked better throughout the day. But the stickiness was still a factor, and it didn't hold up even using less product. But, I definitely agree, less is more with this one😁❤️
Thank you! Great review as always! I bought this one and I am 52 with combination skin type. It works ok on me but I do have to use a lot of finishing powder to make it work. Great during the winter but not for the rest of the year.
I just posted my review of this product and now I’m watching this to see what you think 😅 I agree with you 100% on all your points. The Caliray is a great alternative for clean beauty lovers who want something more matte. I personally thought the Surratt Dew Drops felt more like a skin tint than a facial oil.
Thanks for the review; I especially appreciate all the shade comparisons. Shade 9 is on its way to me from the website. Since I really love the foundation stick; it's one of my go-to foundations, lasts forever and gives a lovely skin like finish, I'm hoping the complexion drops work for me too. I just use a little (as I do of the stick) and it goes a long way. If I need or want any extra coverage anywhere I'll pat on soms of the stick. I'm also planning to use the drops with all of her cream blushes, contour, highlights that I have, so hopefully this'll be a good match! Fingers crossed.
Maybe this just requires drier skin, because my experience is not at all like yours. I love this and don’t even have to set with powder at all, but my skin is quite dry. I think it’s a beautiful product.
I love you. You always bring it. I'm older than you, but you span types and ages in your reviews. I like WA overall, and I have several products (pressed powder, blush, peu de peche and the glosses), but it's really high priced. Really high priced.
I ordered this from WA and it arrived today. In the meantime though, I went to Nordstrom to try it on. It was really greasy and I thought it smelled terrible! I'll be returning my order. Way too much to spend when there are so many great foundations out there. Thanks for the review. You look gorgeous as always.💞
i love this product and i hate foundations. This is the first liquid ive been able to use pretty much my whole life and it doesn't break me out. I like the way it looks -like my skin . I use a small amount of laura mercier setting powered in the spots i want less shiny and it works fine.
Thank you Tara for your the review. I’ll pass on the Westman Atelier drops. For that much money you want a better performance. I do love some of her other products but this one not to excite it about. Have a great day ❤️
Thank you for being honest, I like high end makeup but with everything going on in the world and prices going crazy I think twice before purchasing. To me, eyeshadow palettes I buy high end, but everything else is as good from drugstore, often better. Still like to watch reviews tho
I tried the foundation stick and it's the BEST I've tried in my life, it doesn't look like I wear foundation and yet it looks like my skin but Beautiful. Perfect colour shade and texture and finish. I love this brand because it is so hydrating, which I need and like. I love how this brand cares for the skin at the same time, and genuinely looks beautiful. If these complexion drops are hydrating too then I will try it too. Thanks for the review, I guess it all depends what kind of makeup we're looking, in terms of skincare and finish.
Absolutely 👏🌸 Thanks for sharing your experience, it's always good to hear other perspectives, especially when they're different from mine so I appreciate you taking the time and sharing your experience ..
Tara those earings are beautiful that orange suits you so much, Thank you for the skin tint warning especially not being inexpensive, I hate a sticky face with my hair sticking getting all greasy. 😘
This product just launched here in Australia - was so looking forward to giving it a go and have been disappointed too. So greasy on and needed heaps of powder to keep it ‘on my face’… if that makes sense. I’ve worn it for the last 3 days and have been wondering why I’m persisting with it. I have combination skin so perhaps reconsider trying this if you have oily / combo skin. Am going to switch back to my NARS foundation - much better!
Great review. Is this product similar to Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation? CT is a holy grail product for me. With a light application could be considered a skin tint.
I love that the brand isn’t faking the amount of product by putting an once in a giant bottle to fool people. An ounce is an ounce whether it’s in minimal packaging or excessive packaging. Edit: well I hate to see how bad this was. It sounds like the Kosas skin tint that I absolutely hated. And I have dry skin, but oil based foundation serums just don’t work in my opinion. I prefer to use a good moisturizer with a light water based serum such as typology or the chanel water tint.
Good review, Tara! I’m on the fence with this one. My thought was that maybe spot correcting with the stick would add more of a polished look. I’m a normal skin type, so that might work for me. I’ve been seeing the Iconic London blurring skin tint popping up on YT. That might be one that’s less greasy and more natural looking. They are pairing it with a new primer too. From what I hear, the last two launches from WA (pressed powder and tint) are just okay.
Thanks for telling us about the sticky feeling and your hair sticking on this product, definitely a pass for me! Probably best for very dry skin that doesn’t need a lot of coverage
I wasted money on a WA highlighter stick. It's super sticky also and doesn't dry down. Feels like I have on Vaseline. I'm so confused by this brand: claims to be high-end with sub-par products.
I also don’t care for the highlight stick but everything else is lovely!! The only things I haven’t tried are the eye pods, the skin tint, and the powder bronzer, but I absolutely love everything else and it quickly became one of my favorite brands. Nothing else that I have tried is sticky like the highlight stick!
Heyyy Tara…!!!! I’m scared lol I have normal skin….!!! I love anything radiant/dewy/Luminous however lol i’m wondering will this be too over-the-top for me too bad we can’t get a sample….!!!
This is definitely dewy, almost too dewy for me. It's definitely best applied using a tiny bit, but it's sticky, especially now in the summer. I hate that feeling of my hair sticking to my face lol. It's definitely a tricky one. I agree I wish there was a way to get a sample, it's one pricey product. 🤑❤️ Thanks for watching💕
I completely agree about the undertones. Particularly the new Hourglass airbrush foundation- they are sooooo yellow and orange. That’s it. The limited “cool” shade options are completely orange. I’m pink, and most brands make their rosy shades orange to balance the pink and you end up looking like you’re wearing a mask. Too bad the formula is so sticky when they have such nice shades!
Thank you for featuring this new skin tint and especially for doing a 12-hr try on. As a standalone skin tint, this would not work for my combo skin. But I can see myself using this skin tint along with an oil-free (chemical, reef-safe) non-tinted sunscreen. I would mix the two products in my hand (before applying to avoid pilling) - the mix would create a sunscreen that is the right shade for me while also creating a moisture-sealing barrier. Lemonade out of lemons… Thank you for the close ups and the honesty.
it is oil based, so this is basically oil with some pigment. i was wondering whether i want to purchase it or not, but that much oil in it causes one big NO NO for me... :(
Ya, for me that was the worst part about this product. Even on the side I used a tiny amount on, it was still sticky😐 I'm glad the review was helpful, thank you so much for watching ❤️
Nope. Just nope. I have dry skin and enjoy luminous, skin like foundations. I really, really don't like any glowy finishes, I mean, where does the highlighter go if you're face is a total glow ball? I think the powders you applied, went some way to providing coverage - without the powder, I think this foundation/skin tint, would have disappeared!!! Awww, no Rowdy peeking through the window 😊 Much love to you 💜🧡💜🧡💜
So far everything that I have tried from this brand I have loved so much the cream bronzer is amazing, I still need to try their highlighter powders but I have heard they are great but I think I will be passing on this tinted moisturizer
its not an exact match ,you want to be tanned so bad🤣🤣 youre undertone is pink. And the thing about clean beauty is not to mix it in with other brands that contain heavy chemicals.

I’ve been viewing her for a while and she does tan like I do… check out her videos in the summer time… this is why she has to purchase colors like this… with all due respect I don’t find it funny to laugh at someone for using a color to make thier skin color match the rest of them… not only that but hey even if she did it to make her skin color more tanned then it’s what she likes… but really not cool to laugh because I am that person you will think has done with make up when in reality that’s just the way my skin “tans” …. Love that you are wearing just enough make up to look nice! You look so much better like this. Well done!
Thanks for your hard work on every single review you've done so far! Much obliged! 💪🏼🙌🏼👏🏼❤️
Thank you said key word: dehydrated skin…..yasss that works for me! Thank you, I will buy this!

Great, honest review. This brand is so expensive in Australia, that I appreciate your reviews before I waste my money.
Your reviews are the BEST thank you so much!! 💗

Love thise review Tara💕 I wonder how would it work with the westman powder??😶🌫️

Thank you so much😁 I bought the earrings on Amazon for $7.99. Great color, so cute, and don't hurt my ears. They're great😁❤️

Thank you so much for this honest review!
I’m desperate to find a replacement for the discontinued Dior Air Flash.
Help!
You totally confirmed my suspicions :-( Thank you for reviewing with so much honesty, will now know to stay away while avoiding FOMO too😁
Great review. Is this product similar to Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation? CT is a holy grail product for me. With a light application could be considered a skin tint.
Thank you, very useful!
Your skin looks so beautiful though!!
Are you going to try the summer fridays tint?!!!!please
It looks so good on you! Love the shade & honestly looks gorgeous on camera. Probs be too shiny for my oily skin though.
I'm very impressed with the shade match though! 👏🏻 I'm not interested in purchasing but enjoy your reviews thoroughly 😘😘😘
Are you reviewing the Hauslabs foundation when it launches?
I love that the brand isn’t faking the amount of product by putting an once in a giant bottle to fool people. An ounce is an ounce whether it’s in minimal packaging or excessive packaging. Totally agree with you on the packaging. It is the perfect size, and still giving 1 oz. I am here for it🙌🙌
Hi Tara! Thank you for this! I was considering trying this but I can't do the sticky, my hair is going to stick to my face business. ohhh no, no no.
How does this compare to the ilia super serum tint? More coverage? Less dew?
i love that you saved me 68 dollars!! i'll get the new natasha dream palette...:)
Good review, Tara! I’m on the fence with this one. My thought was that maybe spot correcting with the stick would add more of a polished look. I’m a normal skin type, so that might work for me. I think luminous finishes work better with cream blush and bronzer 😊
Thanks for telling us about the sticky feeling and your hair sticking on this product, definitely a pass for me!
Probably best for very dry skin that doesn’t need a lot of coverage
I have very oily skin and it works wonders
Do the shades mirror the stick version?
You just saved me some money🙏🏼😘
Happy Thursday Everyone And Good Luck
I wasted money on a WA highlighter stick. It's super sticky also and doesn't dry down. Feels like I have on Vaseline. I'm so confused by this brand: claims to be high-end with sub-par products.
Unsolicited opinion here✋🏻… the highlighter stick is a lovely lip balm❤️
@@lisarenesalon Oooohhh, interesting. I'll have to try that. Thanks! 😊
I also don’t care for the highlight stick but everything else is lovely!! The only things I haven’t tried are the eye pods, the skin tint, and the powder bronzer, but I absolutely love everything else and it quickly became one of my favorite brands. Is it the clear one? Lit up? If so she recommends using it as a primer for her stick foundation.
Hey Tara.. tks for always lovely nd honest reviews 👌👌nd it’s an easy pass for me.. love ur gucci blush video..❤️
You're Doing Amazing Job Tara Lynn
This review gets a sub, Thankyou
Have you tried or do you plan to try the new Summer Fridays skin tint?
Yes, I am thinking about doing a skin tint showdown of some sort😁 I've ordered it, and hope to put that up sometime next week🙌
It's not sticky, she just used a lot.
I love your earrings
OMG!! No hair sticking to the face! No ma’am! Thanks for calling this out.
Ya, for me that was the worst part about this product. Even on the side I used a tiny amount on, it was still sticky😐 I'm glad the review was helpful, thank you so much for watching ❤️
Pass. Thank you.
Did you ever put a lot of this drop. It shouldn’t be applied so thick, and foundation goes on top of it. The drops are not foundation.
Nope.
Awww, no Rowdy peeking through the window 😊
Much love to you 💜🧡💜🧡💜
So far everything that I have tried from this brand I have loved so much the cream bronzer is amazing, I still need to try their highlighter powders but I have heard they are great but I think I will be passing on this tinted moisturizer
This review saved me alot of $$ 😅 lol
its not an exact match ,you want to be tanned so bad🤣🤣 youre undertone is pink. And the thing about clean beauty is not to mix it in with other brands that contain heavy chemicals.
Hi, I am Hispanic and I have pink undertones and I tan just like this…. This is literally my skin color in the summer…. I look like I have tried to tan my whole skin…. The pink and red tones come out. Thanks Tara…so glad. I watched your review. This peaked my interest …but I think I will pass… it sounds bleeeh
But your skin looks beautiful
Hey Tara, I still think you look beautiful. But so crazy that it doesn’t work and for the price. No way. Till the next one Tara. Love you. 🥰🙏
It looked super pretty on you though….. lol
Don't like sticky!
Your skin still looks lovely and fresh. But this is like oil slick…2-4 drops max. 🫶
I just posted my review of this product and now I’m watching this to see what you think 😅 I agree with you 100% on all your points. The Caliray is a great alternative for clean beauty lovers who want something more matte. I personally thought the Surratt Dew Drops felt more like a skin tint than a facial oil.
How does it compare to the summer Fridays tint?
