I just got the update today too. I thought it was gonna have some UI changes like I've been seeing from some other channels but i guess we aren't getting that yet in the US.
Yeah unfortunately here in the US we don't have that yet. Hopefully soon.
My OnePlus 12 (Region : India) got the AI Object Removal tool in April 5th, with the April security patch. The global varients are yet to receive the AI features it seems.
It's just a security update 😭 The NA (North America) version is one version behind the global and Indian version (the AIGC eraser) and two versions behind the Chinese version (new control panel UI design, much more aesthetic background, and much more fluid transformation animations) It's so nice that they really listen to people's feedback and push that into the actual device. But I can't wait for them to come to the US 😢
why no one talks about lags in app switching specially between browsers, RUclips etc. That 2 sec delay before you can do anything on the app, is horrendous.

Thanks I just downloaded it. Hopefully they have another camera update to add to the quality more. Left my Google Pixel 8 Pro to try this phone out and it still doesn't compete with it! But the battery, call quality, speakers and charging blows away the GP8 Pro.

OnePlus only does security updates on a bi-monthly schedule. It's still not available in North America yet.

The 608 version which is the ai remover have so many bugs and have draining battery issue. That is why op didnt release it yet globally. India is the testing ground of bugs. you should join op community to know such issue. Thanks bro. Godbless

Turn on "smart rapid charging" in the menus (search in the search field) and make sure you are using the oneplus cable and charger. Third party cables meant for OnePlus don't always work. They must be OnePlus cables.

Internal wires? It's tough to check cuz few people have extra OnePlus cables. I've recently bought some more. The third party cables charged at half the rated speed. I'm gonna get some new OnePlus branded cables. Now you can try to get lucky money wise and get hold of the older OnePlus DASH branded cables. The ones I have from earlier Oneplus phones actually work at full speed. OnePlus lost the right to use DASH cuz someone owned the name.
I think turning the smart rapid charging OFF might actually help, cuz I think that setting will slow the charging down when the phone thinks you don't need to be fast charging.
@@ShardstapoRotmg I'm in Europe and we get the 100watts. I wasn't getting it until I turned on that setting. Blazing fast. Noticeable. Try it. No need for us to guess.
Originally I thought it would look in your calendar and your alarm settings to see when you needed to be somewhere and it would speed up if there was something soon pending, but nope. It just made it faster all the time.
Obviously, it's nice that they're bringing AI features to the 12 and other devices. However, it's not the be-all and end-all reason to purchase a 12. Truthfully, AI is still in its infancy. It's going to have to come a lot further before I predicate any purchase on it.
Watching from my oneplus 12 512 top variant. I have Switched from oneplus 7 256gb. No words to say , worth every penny you spent! I have done more comparison with i phone 15 . In my views oneplus is the value for money product. I can see some reviewers say that the camera is not upto the mark. But that's not true. Every phone has some advantage over one. If you are craze about new AI features go for samsung. If videography and apple UI is your priority go for I phone. If you are searching for a best value for money in Android go blindly on oneplus 12 you will be satisfied. (NOTE : I STILL USE MY ONEPLUS 7 It's working fine without any issues)
Nope, still going "strong" with March 5th update... Not at all happy with the update speed OnePlus is giving atm. If it sucks already this badly, how is it going to be next year 🙄

I swapped my 14 pro max in op12 and no regret also.
I'll be keeping this for the next 4-5 years 'cause that's when software and security updates stop for it.

Still enjoying my OP 12, only a week and a half though. I’m not real big on AI but in order for OnePlus to continue to compete and pull users from the top 3, they need to implement AI on their next OS update. This phone is so nice and I hope OnePlus continues to gain momentum. Thank you for the continued updates and content on the OP 12.
no need to bring them on time, just look at what problems Samsung and Pixel are dealing with. OnePlus is doing just fine .... well maybe even better than the rest 😊
