    Very nice driving. I love driving this track. Turn 9 is my favorite. Despite how mundane it might seem on screen, that turn is deceptively fast because of the banking.

    Nice driving!!! Good to see the built in lap timer working. Wish Hyundai would update it with more tracks. None of the built in tracks are near me

      Yeah, I was so surprised when I found out Sonoma Raceway wasn't (and still isn't) available even though Hyundai held a press event for this car there. 🤣 I also would like to see more tracks in North America added so more EN owners can enjoy this great feature.

      You can download it on hyundai's website.

      Thanks, man. My Best lap of the day was 1:47.97 and I could have gotten into 46's but wasn't too lucky with traffic.

    Awesome, awesome , awesome !! Looks like you smoothed out some from part1 ( very nice ). Can you give an assessment yet of the Falkens compered to your previous tires, especially the fronts ? I meant to tell you last time that another EN driver put camber bolts on his car and he got 2.6 front and 2.4 rear . He put them on for his first track day and could not comment on stock vs. the bolt set up but he is an experienced driver and said his car was behaving very good with the numbers he was running.. Something to think about. Keep on keeping on. Take care .

      Yeah, from what I've found online it looks like with camber bolts in front I can dial in camber up to 2.7ish and the rear can be adjusted using factory parts up to 2.5ish. More negative camber will definitely help with turn-in response and overall feeling of cornering. I already have camber bolts but I just didn't have time to bring the car to an alignment shop before this event.
      Since now I have my baseline lap times with stock setup from all 3 tracks around me, I can start modifying my car and see if I can improve my times. 😁

    Very exhilarating video! It was awesome seeing you work the N around the corners. I'm curious what made you choose the Elantra over some of the other cars out there? Not that I'm complaining, it looked like you were thrashing a lot of other cars that seemed more "track capable" on paper.

      I wanted a cheap and fun car that I could drive for about a year until I get my hands on the GR Corolla and although I've always been a JDM guy and never thought about owning a Korean car, EN was a perfect choice and I was pretty lucky to find one of the first delivered EN's in my area. I was originally going to trade this car in when I get the corolla but after owning it and having so much fun on the track I might actually keep it even after I get a new car. 😁

      어헛.. 같은 아엔수동오너..! 여기도 그렇지만 한국도 DCT 판매량이 훨씬 많아서 수동오너 보기가 힘든거 같아요. 정말 반갑습니다!😄

    Great drive! Im really considering getting EN or the new type R after selling my bugeye WRX. Would you say the MT is better than the DCT for this track? (Laguna Seca is the closest track to me)

      I think DCT will be faster at almost every track due to its faster shifting and the fact that you can just leave it in D and have 'N track sense shift' find the right gear for you so you just concentrate on steering and foot work. Personally, I just prefer driving manual because it's more engaging and fun. 😁

    와우 아반테N 정말 잘 달리는군요. 운전스킬도 대단하세요. 8월초에 라구나 세카에 가는데 기대가 됩니다. 라구나 세카는 AMG 스쿨에서 Lead & Follow로 해본게 전부라서 한번 제차로 달려보고 싶은데 거리가 거리인만큼 레이싱 스쿨 아니면 힘들더군요 언젠간 한번 해보려고 계획중입니다. 영상 잘 보았습니다^^

      감사합니다! 라구나 세카에서 처음 주행해봤는데 사람들이 왜 좋아하는 트랙인지 알거 같더라구요. 8월초에 레이싱스쿨 아니면 트랙데이 하시러 가시는건가요? 제 다음 트랙데이도 8월초에 라구나 세카라서 다시 가는데 혹시나 해서 여쭤봅니다 😁

      @@elantran 8월 4,5일에 라구나 세카에서 Allenberg racing school이 있어서 그주 화요일부터 금요일까지 몬테레이에 머물고 토요일밤에 SFO에서 떠나요.

    You are just killing out there on that track with that EN huh? Good stuff man. How many track miles have you put on this car so far do you know roughly? With regular track use and I assume street use also, have you had any problems/issues with anything?
    Engine or transmission related? Suspension? Anything?
    These things are built pretty beefed up and track ready set up out of the box, so for daily driving use parts should be pretty reliable and long lasting eh?

      The car currently has 4100 miles and I think about 900 miles is from driving on track.
      I've been changing engine oil after every two track events (every 800 miles or so) and it's been very solid with no mechanical issues so far. I think the engineers at N division have done great job making N cars pretty reliable even when driven hard.

      @@elantranThanks for that reply. That is awesome and about 1/4 of the miles roughly is track use . That's alot of beating on a car in such little to me and small milage. How's the brakes? No issues over heating and getting brake fade on the track ? Im sure you can't over heat those monster 14.2 inch front rotors on Street driving lol. Even track driving I've heard they just keep stopping the car turn after turn.

      @@Boosted00 The brakes on this car is phenomenon. I've owned cars with 6pot calipers so before driving this car on track I was a bit skeptical with single piston calipers on EN but after 7 trackdays I've never had any brake fades and they performed amazingly. Hyundai said the stock brake pads on EN are high performance pads and I believe them 100%. Originally I was going to get a set of aftermarket pads but the OEM pads are more than adequate even for track driving.

    How do you have your camera mounted?

      I used a 3m sticky mount and mounted to the dome light cover and got a 7" extension arm to get this angle. The gopro is mounted upside down.

      Because I have a few other cars, I rarely drive this on the streets anymore. Just going to and from the track that's pretty much it now days.

    Great racing. Loved your cornering work. I noticed the Tyres slipping at some turns despite it being warm out there. Why is that?

      The ambient temp was pretty warm that day I think the tires got a little too warm and got greasy.

      I run everything at max except the steering wheel. The GoPro is mounted on the trunk so the sound you hear in the video is definitely louder than what you hear from inside.

    Have you experienced any over heating with oil and coolant temperatures so far?

      I've never experienced loss of power or other issues due to overheating. The coolant stays well within normal operating temperature but I've seen my oil temp going up to 264f a couple of times which I know is a bit high but still within the safe range. I'm still waiting for a company to release an aftermarket oil cooler for Elantra N.

      @@saiadventures1353 Yup, still on stock brake pads but I'm going to change them out before the next event. They have been through 7 trackdays and honestly, I don't know if I need aftermarket pads. The stock ones are high performance pads from the factory and they are amazing even on the track.
      Still running stock alignment setup ATM.

    How do you like the RT660's on track?

      If you turn on the subtitles I talk about the RT660's towards the end of the video. They go up to temp quickly and have excellent dry grip and turn-in response once warmed up. The downside is they got greasy sooner than my old yokohama a052's.

    안녕하세요 일반 공도에서 달릴때 저 팝콘소리를 없애고 달리는 기능도 있나요? 공도에서도 팝콘소리가 매번 들리면 좀 불편하지않을까 싶기도 해서요

      아엔은 가변배기가 달려있어서 버튼만 누르면 팝콘소리 없애기가 가능해요.

      한창 오리지날 아세토코르사로 드리프트 해었는데 요즘은 잘안해서 시뮬레이터가 먼지만 쌓여가고 있네요. ㅎㅎ ACC는 베타(?)때 사놓고 잠깐 플레이해보고 말았는데 갑자기 땡기네요. ACC는 오리지날처럼 mod 설치 같은건 안되죠?

      @@elantran 모드 설치는 안되는데, GT3에 집중해서 물리엔진이 어마어마합니다. 2022년 초에 타이어모델을 대대적으로 업데이트해서 이제 전 아이레이싱에 손이 안갑니다. 라구나 세카 트랙데이는 비용이 얼마나 되던가요 ㅎㅎ

      지난번에는 400불이었고 8월달에 있는 이벤트는 같은 호스트인데도 왠지 모르겠지만 500불이네요. 여름 성수기 비용인가... ㅋㅋㅋ
