In Serbia, we have the saying that basically goes: "In war, the state will give the cannons, the rich people will give the oxes, and poor people will give their sons. When war is over, the state takes it's cannons back, the rich people gets their oxes, and poor people are searching for graves." Never heard anything more accurate than that.

The forces of rump-Yugoslavia forces were impotent in the face of NATO's aerial onslaught. The MiG-29s that were supposed to counter them were clobbered time and again by NATO fighters.

@@Tikii_9 We couldnt risk our radars and equipment being tracked.The readar was turned for 14 sec i think before it locked on target.The bombing of Serbia havent had any efect on millitary units.All ground equipment survived.Two damaged tanks in combat,and around 500 dead soldiers out of 30000 that were active on Kosovo.Basicly no harm done,considering that we were bombed by NATO.When they saw they would have to send ground troops to support Albanian forces(which failed their invasion from Albania),they just switched on bombing civilians.And they say NATO is the most powerful alliance.Only in bombing civilians.xD US army is like every other army,fancy gadgets dont help when your enemy knows how to counter them.

It is funny how Serbs complain about several civilian targets hit (mostly by mistake) same serbs that held Sarajevo under siege for years killing thousands of civilians in an deliberate campaign of targeting civilians, same serbs that flattened out Vukovar with artillery damaging and destroying literally every single building in it in indiscriminate shelling. Same serbs that killed in cold blood thousands of civilians in Srebrenica in only Genocide on European soil after WW2 and they did all that just few years prior to NATO intervention. These are only few prominent examples of far worst war crimes and deliberate targeting of civilians.
There is a great movie, it calls " it begin with a lie" and it explains those 45 ethnic Albanians killed. Those were armed terrorist that engaged with legally police force of Serbia.

Then all the conditions NATO had for Yugoslavia changed in order to bring Serbs to the table after 78 days of bombing. All NATO demands were limited to Kosovo, not to all Yugoslavia, as it was demanded at the beginning of the war. So NATO got what they wanted only on 15% of the territory, not 100%, without Yugoslav army surrendering.

- America is a high roller business owner with a platinum card. They're constantly borrowing money, but also lives in a big mansion, drinks Johnnie Walker Blue, and grows their immense business empire every day
- China is smart investor who recently made it big in the stock market, and is just realising they can make bigger gains by visiting the banks to grow their restaurant businesses
- Serbia is a middle class salaried worker with a three-bedroom home, but still has a mortgage and sometimes stresses about making those repayments

They forgot to mention at the begining that those "ethnic albanian civilians" that were killed in Racak were actually KLA members, and KLA was recognized as a terrorist organization by the US up to mid 90s. From that on, the US realized they could use them to destabilise and destroy a sovereign country. As it was proven by Finnish investigators after the "massacre", all corpses had gunpowder on their hands and the wounds were proven to be caused during combat, not execution. And many of the corpses had military shoes and belts on. Even the head of Finnish investigation team admitted later in 2008 in her book, that she was under pressure by the US to covnict Serbs for the "massacre" so they would have a strong reason to bomb Serbia and remove Milosevic from power. Milosevic was characterised as a bad guy in Western media, but he was in fact the last president to oppose the New World Order and neo-colonialistic tendencies of the West.

When I was in the Serbian army I actually met the person that shot it down and got to listen to the story from his perspective. Real heroes those guys are.
So, why did THEIR radar pick up the aircraft while hundreds have failed, since 1991? Did he tell the part of story where the aircraft had a mechanical malfunction compromising the RCS and stealth? The aircraft was actually highly visible to the radar because it had a mechanical problem... the Hungarian commander just did his job: aircraft locked on by fire control radar, shoot. Wasn't even a Serb but you are glad to take the credit.. is this typical Serbian thing? Asking for a friend.

@IMxYOURxDADDY What was from 80's??? Neva and Kub were used in Vietnam man. Maybe man pads like Igla and Strela M2, but these are light, short range SAM's. They can't hit targets flying over 2.500-3.000 meters.
@@srdjanm7662 Basic Neva was from the 60s but by the time the Socialist Yugoslavia purchased it from the USSR in the 80s it had a more modern search radar (P-18) than the basic version (P-12) and some other improvements. So you could argue it was from the 80s and even some minor recent improvements which may have played an important part in shooting down the F-117 (at least one IR camera mated to the targeting radar, between the Yugoslav Neva batteries). Most of the US aircraft that bombed us were models from the 70s and 80s but with significant weapons and sensor upgrades, so they were cutting edge.
@@VersusARCH Well as someone who served in Serbian Air Defense I know for sure that every talk about modernization ends after one unit is upgraded and cameras are turned off. There was no money for anything. Army was scavenging for parts, ripping them of broken down vehicles. Missiles that were used were most likely checked well before 1990. for the last time even they have to be inspected and calibrated every few years if unpacked like most missiles. Serbian army is now investing in projects made 15-20 years ago as it always suffered from chronic lack of funds. Even now when it's mutilated in every sense, losing 8 men a day due to poor conditions for professional soldiers. Compulsory military service doesn't exist anymore and for poor and small country like Serbia that is the biggest issue. If you don't have money to pay professionals you don't terminate military service.
So if Serbia would be bombed now, it would really be over in 3-4 days as traitors run the show and people don't want to die for politicians. They will give up on anything just to stay in power and there is no point in losing your life for them.
Dang if it was a nightmare to get a plane shot down just imagine what it was like living on the ground and being bombed.

You failed to mention how official Serbian records say that only 13 tanks and the loss of other vehicles also, but NATO claims that it destroyed 10 times the number. Neither is lying. What NATO was destroying was cardboard tanks and airplanes which cost less than 200$ to make. 10.000$ rocket wasted on 200$ carboard jet.

@@kbm2055 at the begining that those "ethnic albanian civilians" that were killed in Racak were actually KLA members, and KLA was recognized as a terrorist organization by the US up to mid 90s. From that on, the US realized they could use them to destabilise and destroy a sovereign country. As it was proven by Finnish investigators after the "massacre", all corpses had gunpowder on their hands and the wounds were proven to be caused during combat, not execution. And many of the corpses had military shoes and belts on. Even the head of Finnish investigation team admitted later in 2008 in her book, that she was under pressure by the US to covnict Serbs for the "massacre" so they would have a strong reason to bomb Serbia and remove Milosevic from power. Milosevic was characterised as a bad guy in Western media, but he was in fact the last president to oppose the New World Order and neo-colonialistic tendencies of the West.

My dad manned the same air defense system that shot down the F117, when ever his American friends make fun of his use of old soviet tech he always proudly brings this up.

In my village north atlantic terrorist organasion destroyed half of my house almost killed my grandpa and Dad thanks god they were on first floor,our cat and neigbours died too... Hospitals and Bridges were bombed...And afterall Belgrade is not on battlefield... I would understand bombing on battlefield but cities?
